Signill Hill Lodge Cape Town Review

Very loud ventilator/AC unit outside my window kept me up all night. Would not recommend.

Great place I arrived from airport really late and was still able to check in

Fantastic view, and lovely modern rooms. However no restaurant and is very isolated on top of steep hill. Trip into cape Town required to find any place serving dinner

Although we did not like the location very much, we loved the staff, always helping and aware that we were well. I would not go back for the site but for the staff

No signage, limited water flow for bathing n sewerage, room too small, standard was too low for a 4star lodge

I found a dirty bathroom with somebody else's hair all over the floor.

This little hidden gem located at the top of signal hill was a real treat for myself and best friend . We treated ourselves to a mini getaway and this place is amazing , staff was also really friendly and helpful . Will definitely be there for another stay .

Gerhard was wonderful and made our stay comfortable. He was firm when he needed to be without making anyone uncomfortable. Great experience.

Quite tricky to find the place - got a bit lost in my uber but wonderful scenic destination, lovely refreshing private pool, clean fresh rooms, beautifully appointed hotel with gorgeous views over the BoKaap and really accommodating staff. Overall ok, but poor value for money

Advantages: relatively secure property, comfortable bed, beautiful garden with views

Disadvantages: district is rather unsafe, especially at night under no circumstances reachable on foot, shower control is a disaster, in rooms next to the breakfast room you wake up early in the morning by noisy breakfast guests

Got to the place and no one is opening the gate no one is answering the phone

Staff can put a smile on their face when you drop off their guests

No mention of the entrance road taking you between a building site and a dangerous slum marked as being a "problem town" by an official warning sign, and deemed as unwalkable by the staff on arrival.

Hardly somewhere to stay safely on our couples get away to South Africa!

Front desk staff were keen only to make sure they secured their money on us deciding to cancel and then find somewhere to stay where we felt safer coming home at night, really disappointed and would not recommend.

Almost and unbeatable view a d a decent breakfast. Definitely good value for money.

The pictures doesn't do justice to the actual rooms. It was lovely! The environment is tranquil and serene as well as easy on the eye. Really enjoyed my stay.

A super nice accommodation overlooking Cape Town. The rooms are nicely decorated with comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful staff. If I come back to Cape Town then I will stay here again, there can be no better accommodation.

The place is lovely but rather small rooms there is no enough space between bathroom and bedroom

breakfast isn't that great. The views are great but the bathroom was also a tad tiny. Enjoyed your stay nonetheless

The rooms are "ok" in terms of size (you are only there to sleep at night ...). The view from the terraces is really great and the breakfast too. The staff is really nice and tried hard. Only the surrounding area takes some getting used to.

All in all we were very happy and would come again!

Stayed there last week Wednesday worse exprience in my whole life at a hotel. Room was very noisy outside. Took a shower water was cold no phone in room to call 202 went up to reception they sent someone down he said its fine i put my hand under to show him that the water is cold and if was hot i wouldnt be able to leave my hand under water. I emailed a complaint still no reply. I paid for the room. I think that management should be more professional . I was msged by Naomi who kept on harassing me on msgner saying that I'm complaining for a R550, I have all the msges to supply . I never knew that because it was so cheap I was supposed to shut up not complain. I would like someone to contact me with abit more professional manner. Thank you

An aabsolute pleasurable stay. The garden is quaint and peaceful. Tge experience is one i will remember and recommend a stay at Signal Hill Lodge.

Cozy little hotel with stunning views of Cape Town from the breakfast terrace. Due to the construction on a steep slope are 9 rooms and bathroom, however, quite small

Extremely weak. Water problem in room ... NO water in room for more than 12 hours. No plan of action by getting other accommodation. Worry but guests' problem !! So no option for a weekend stay in the beautiful Cape !!

Mooi uitzicht, en zeer vriendelijk personeel! Maar de locatie is niks. Plus de kamer die we hadden was echt klein! En de badkamer was nog kleiner dan de kledingkast. Het stonk er heel erg naar tabak.
Het voelde meer aan of ik in een hostel zat dan in een lodge.
We hebben ons binnen een uur toch maar gemeld dat we de kamer wilde annuleren. De receptioniste nam ons serieus en bood oplossingen aan zodat we toch bleven. Maar we zijn toch weggegaan.

Best place to stay over New Year's Eve in the Cape. Amazing views from way up there over the whole coast. Well located and close to many restaurants and coffee shops. Small rooms but clean and comfortable.

This place offers a birdy view of the city! At a mountain top erected with rooms that gives you an uncontrollable comfort. It really worth a holiday. I arrived late at night and served by a friendly gentleman at the reception whom made an arrangement for my hired car from the airport. Would recommend

The setting is beautiful and the prices are awesome. The rooms are clean, have wardrobes and a safe. The rooms with balconies are a must have as the view is amazing. The lodge really makes you feel at home and the staff are amazing.

It's down the road from the noon gun which is an amazing experience, and a great place to explore.

10/10 would recommend.

The night scene is very charming and condescending, but the driving technique is better. Otherwise, the hand-carrying car that has not been rented for a long time may be afraid of climbing and turning all the way.

Pleasant stay. Cosy room and en-suite with beautiful views. Staff made sure we are comfortable and settled.

Rooms are very small, reception/manageress very friendly and obliging. Photos are deceiving!

Great place to stay. Beds are super comfy and rooms are great. Allow late check ins. Not all rooms have a great view but Im sure you can call in advance and ask. Only issue is the geyser in the showers but not too bad once you figure it out.

Gerrard, Naomi & Leo are angels of hospitality, try the beds which are dressed in crispy linen.

Amazing view of the entire Cape Town cbd. The staff, food and rooms are beautiful. The room we had was not entirely spacious but it was beautifully decorated.

Nice accommodation, just above Bo-Kaap and with great views of Cape Town.

Quiet hideout with great views of the Table Mountain, Cape Town City, and the ocean

Comfy bed and fair sized room. Rest leaves much to be desired. Breakfast had very small selection, took 30 min to arrive.

Pay attention to the GPs that he does not guide you to the wrong place because there are two military road. Outside the establishment it is not too safe. Friendly host, better a standard room than a superior room for which you have no view or balcony. Friendly staff.

I was here two years ago. The staff was very friendly, and upgraded my room to a room with a better view. The rooms are very clean. There is always fresh water bottles and tea everyday in our rooms. Highly recommend this place.

Staff is courteous and helpful but rooms are tight and there is only very limited secure parking.
