Got a notice on my door two days ago that said SNC is resurfacing our street today, OUR street. So I parked my car along a SIDE street, WHERE THERE WERE NO SIGNS SAYING DO NOT PARK, and I get woken up at 8am by my sister in law saying they are about to tow your car you better move it! I work swing shift so I am not normally up at 8am anyway. So I grab my keys and run and move my car. Thank goodness for my sister in laws impeccable timing! I would not have known where my car went if they had towed it. Here's a thought, next time you are doing work somewhere maybe you should have your notice say that you are working on side streets connected to the said street you stated you are working on, then put signs up there as well. Wherever you are doing work you might want to put signs up!

These guys just did the road work up in our neighborhood. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a notice the day before the work was to be done and the work was done on time and it LOOKED GREAT! This was much needed as the gaps in the old asphalt were getting dangerously large. Thanks SNC!

Horrible company - rudest employees ever - they are a bunch of bullies and willing to threaten whoever disagrees with them OR calls them out on not having "street closure permits". As you can read in other's comments this is SOP for this company, when the two guys standing there started making threats is when I decided that I would let the internet world know how disrespectful this company is.

This company did work on my street a few weeks ago. During the job they aloud a vehicle to drive through the slurry and turn around my driveway. Now I have oil tire marks half way up my driveway way! You would think they would just pressure wash it and clean it up right? Wrong! Sean Taylor at first was eager to help later telling me lie after lie! Said he would be at my place on Monday or Tuesday at the latest to clean it. Never showed up. Several follow up calls yielded negative results with excuse after excuse ranging from cost and who is going to pay for it to being busy and the putting the responsibility on the City of Reno! City of Reno risk management says they aren t responsible and passed the buck back on this company and as of this review my driveway still has tire marks that look absolutely hideous. Thanks a lot Sierra Nevada Construction, your company is a class act! UPDATE: On 7/22/2019 this company called me and kindly explained they had worked out the politics and at about 12:30 a gentleman arrived and cleaned my driveway. Thank you!

This company worked on the road right by my house they also worked on the road to my son's school. They did not post signs saying hey we are shutting these roads down you will need to take a detour starting this date nope I go to take my kid to school and I can't get off my street and had to try to flip around to go the other direction. Ok no big deal annoying but manageable. The very next day I go to take my kid to school and on a different street same damn thing no notice that I'd have to take a different route!!!!! It's decent to say hey your going to have to take a different way from this day through this day. Many other companies do this. My son was late to school and to top it all off I got a nail bigger then my tire is wide guess where.... Exactly where they had been working. Of course the hits just keep on coming. If your going to shut down a whole stretch of busy road you need to let people know about it!!!!!!

SO im sitting in my truck hoping to head home for the day when BAM! I see these guys again. I know what that means. A long wait is ahead... It always is. Then a few nights later when there was no construction crew they left blockades in all of one lane and part of the other.

It's fine to work on roads and I understand that no matter what you do, if you're working on a road people will be upset by the traffic, but when you're supposed to have workers directing the traffic efficiently and they stop a 10 car line for 5 or 10 minutes just for 1 or 2 cars on the opposite end to come by, you might as well just have stop signs, so 1 car from each line can go. Many times the "traffic directors" are just on their phones, ignoring the public and getting upset when they start going up the road they're working on. Either hurry up and finish the job or have competent workers to help folks in and out of the area.
