I was so excited that they had vegan options, but the seitan and asparagus were super charred. I'd give it a second chance, but I couldn't even eat my whole meal due to the burnt taste, which is annoying since it was rather expensive.

Great draft beer and wine selection. The food is great but entrees can be a bit pricey, almost always worth it though. They usually have a creative list of nightly food specials. Probably my favorite overall food/beer establishment in Northampton.

Just when I thought I had eaten everywhere in NoHo....how I missed this AMAZING place is beyond me. Four of us went on a screaming hot Saturday night recently, and had a fantastic experience. Decadent food and drinks and did not break the bank. Just superb, including the table staff. Will be back!

The food here is mostly very good, that said the service is terrible. We went here a few times several years ago, the service was iffy both times. Then on our third attempt the hostess made us feel extremely unwelcome upon showing up on a busy weekend night, and so we left and never went back. This last week we were going out with some friends and they wanted to go here so we agreed. Ince again the food was great but the service terrible. The waiter, forgot a Drink order, seemed put out by us wanting to see the dessert menu, and in general made us feel like we were a burden to him. Would rate closer to one star if the food wasn't so good, regardless I won't be going back.

This was our 2nd time eating here & we chose it for our anniversary dinner. The food is always scrumptious! The drinks never disappoint. The wait staff has consistently been helpful & fun. It is pricey, but worth it for a celebratory night out.

This is my favorite out to dinner in Northampton. The reason is simple, it is the best price per quality of food in all my dinning experiences near by. They make everything themselves with the exception of only few items (generally even those are local-bought).

I must say that my rating on this is mostly based on the multitude of appitizer/tapas/small meal items I get there. I have ordered one of their regular dinner options twice, but I go back for the selection of smaller bite items every time.

I recommend getting both their beignets and the pot de creme for dessert and eating them together! Other amazing foods I'd recommend here: slow cooked pork shank, sliders, duck confit panini, and their mac & cheese. All delicious and perfect for a special treat with friends!

Poor quality food. Poor customer service and poor attitude from Bartender and Manager. We ordered off of their online Website. The order total should have been $31.00. When my husband went to pick up the order, they said the total was $42.00. He questioned the total, they said their prices went up. Both the Bartender and the Manager both gave my husband a hard time along with an attitude. They didnt even offer to match the online Menu prices even though he asked them too. They only offered $8.00 off the bill, ( not honoring the online prices) along with an attitude. Not even an apology for his inconvenience. The Paninis were greasy and the Sweet Potato curly fries were greasy, mushy and some hard like wood shavings in the same order. Very disappointing experience. We will NEVER order from them again!

The service was fair at best. The food was delicious. I walked in this has been several times and absolutely ignored. I felt as though I was putting them out asking for anything. This is disappointing.
The service at the bar is better but still no attention seems to be put into the actual patrons, again disappointing!
It's too bad because the food is delicious!

Doug our server was great! Very attentive and friendly. Food was timely and prepared at specified. Personally I feel all the items were under seasoned. The crowd on this night was on the older side. As for price I feel it was extremely reasonable for the portions.

So... we came here on a date night, seeing that the place has 4.5 stars so we order the salmon with asparagus, smoked wings , Mac and cheese and pork ribs... Long story short the drinks were pretty good but the food was ALRIGHT... I feel like we could have made the same dishes at home way better... the best thing was the asparagus! How on earth are the side dishes better then the main course .. and the bill was 80$. We have been places that we paid half that and the food was Way better. I can go on and on about this but I m gonna keep it short and the only reason I m giving it 3 stars... the reason why 1 for the drinks, 1 for the asparagus ( SIDE DISH) , and 1 for the water!

Lovely restaurant but I was shocked by the behavior of the staff. We went last night for my mother's birthday, and when we were seated we had to wait for a member of our party to arrive after parking a car. He was gone for 5 minutes. A hostess approached and informed us that we had to leave in less than an hour to make room for another party. We ordered promptly then waited 45 minutes for our food. After we finished eating and paying, we were eating our dessert when another hostess came over and asked us to leave. On top of that one of the managers circled our table like a vulture the whole time we were eating. The coffee was appalling and the food was lackluster for the price and the wait. I've never experienced behavior like this from a restaurant, we were a huge party and spent over 300, and I was do appalled that their poor time management led to this rude behavior. Would never return.

Sierra Grille is a perennial favorite of mine. Between smoking their meats on the premises, excellent menu execution in the kitchen, and supporting local agriculture via a robust farm-to-table mentality, they're one of the O.G. pioneers in the "eat local" movement.

The draft and bottle list has multiple "somethings" for everyone. I would personally prefer more #Belgian or #Belgianstyle ales on draft (like a great #Saison), but that's just me. Way too much emphasis on IPAs *everywhere* these days.

Wait Staff at SG are, in my experience, unfailingly courteous. They're normally well-educated enough to answer questions about any of their draught selections, but I felt like I might not have gotten a completely knowledgeable answer tonight. That's okay, nobody's perfect.

Re: wait staff, let me throw a bone to Kevin, who has been my server many times. If Kevin is working and you get seated at one of his tables, you are in for excellent, informed service. If you have any experience other than that with him (or any other server, really), please just chalk it up to a rough night. Everyone has them.

Food wasn't bad per say. I've been to some really nice steakhouses high end places and there seems to be something off. The food was ok but the prices they are charging don't reflect the food you receive. That's what's off about it. I paid $33 for a small Angus ribeye (they don't specify the size in the menu) and it was tough. I mean in no way was it an Angus cut. It was probably a $18-20 steak at best. Place seems like a cool spot and the drink menu is diverse but they either need to upgrade the food to reflect prices or lower the prices due to the quality of food. Waitress was great though.

I'm not from Springfield/Holyoke area but I was taking my girlfriend up to the Holyoke mall and asked a co-worker to suggest a good low-key grill and that I was looking to spend upwards of 100. It was a date night made perfect. We went on a Thursday, and they had their own specials board for the day. We couldn't resist the lamb sliders as an appetizer. The meat was so tender and juicy and filled with taste it set up the whole dinner perfectly. My girlfriend had the duck which was -amazing- and I couldn't resist the New York Strip with the fruit barbeque sauce (try it, its delicious). Its hard to put into words, but not only was the meat cooked to perfection, the strip itself was not chewy, each bite was stuffy with marinade and the delicious sauce made it complete bliss. There are plenty of options in the beer and wine menu, something for everyone I would think. The atmosphere is pretty dark although the lighting was good enough to see our menus; it's a very quiet place over-all, with the bar having no tvs it doesn't create a ruckus. For the quality of the food, service and just the over-all experience we had there, I would have paid double what I ended up getting billed (105 for appetizer, 4 alcoholic drinks in total, 2 entrees, 1 dessert and 2 after dinner drinks)

No doubt it's pricey, especially for the area, but they do have really good food, a great selection of beer, and fantastic bartenders. I'm not usually big on dining at the bar but at this place it's become a favorite thing to do, especially if I'm looking for a quiet, low-key Sunday night experience. Something about the lighting, the not-too-loud music, the view of the street... Definitely a place to stop by for me and my wife whenever we're in the area.

After living, dining, drinking and making merriment in Northampton for the last 15 years I'd have to say that hands down Sierra Grille is my favorite spot. Most consistent food, beverage and service. Good range of prices, spices, beer styles, and cocktails. Highly recommended!

This place goes beyond the call of duty, willing to give optimum service with 6 minutes to closing! The hostess was warm and inviting. The ambience, the Mimosas, the hospitality...signature fries are highly recommended!

Our second visit to the Sierra Grill in Northampton, MA was after our Granddaughter s graduation from college. There were 10 of us representing MA, CA, VT and NYC. I only mention that to point out the diversity of our gathering with ages from 17 to 71. We really enjoyed our visit. Our waiter was attentive and personable. Each one of us enjoyed our meal very much. We highly recommend stopping here for a good dinner! We hope to go again even though our granddaughter is no longer at school there.

Was visiting with family and decided to eat here and was truly disappointed. Our waitress must have been over whelmed and it showed by the service we received. For the prices of the food you would think it would ve tasted better. Also I think you are trying to set a mood with the lighting but it would be great to actually see faces, the menu, and the food you sent me. Just a very poor experience that left a bad taste in my mouth literally.

The best food in Northampton . We come up here 3 or 4 times a year and it s not even close. Everything is made homemade and fresh. It s a scratch kitchen. Grilled Shrimp with Thai sauce snd smoked wings blow even nyc/nj places away. And no I was not high!!!

This is one of the hidden gem restaurants in Northampton MA. The food is fairly pricey, but absolutely worth the cost due to it's genuine quality. The menu offers fully customizable entrees and great options for appetizers and sandwiches. Locally-sourced ingredients and constantly-rotating, big flavors dominate this spot's repertoire, creating a new experience each visit. A pleasantly-thorough dining environment with incredible food. Try the peanut sauce if available!

A cozy decor welcomed our party and the staff accentuated the decor with their pleasantness. The menu is designed with a protein, sauce and sides concept. I had the smoked pork tenderloin with a BBQ fruit sauce that complented the pork perfectly. The side was a a nicely seasoned grilled asparagus. I enjoyed the Building 8 Gravity Check which is a counter to the standard New England IPA. My wife enjoyed her chicken but was not fond of the Thai Peanut Sauce. Overall, a great restaurant with a great menu and staff.

Great place, great staff, great ambiance. The food is delicious and if you like ice cream you'd be doing yourself a disservice not trying their inhouse selection. Their brewery offers my favorite local IPA, the Building 8!

Yes! Exactly what we needed after a long day outside. Steaks, pork tenderloin, wonderful sides, and a very thoughtful selection of beers made this place well worth the money. The atmosphere was nice; relaxed, clean, and fairly quiet.
You will pay for what you get, but you will get what you paid for. I'm traveling from Maine and this is first on my list when I return in the coming weeks.

This is always my default for dinner out. The food here is great, and the tap list is great. Now with BLDG 8 on tap at all times it's an easy choice. The fries are awesome and the aioli makes them truly decadent. It's fun to try swapping sauces on different dishes, and the veggies are fresh.

After reading other recent reviews, I was a bit nervous about going there, but our experience was very different - we had excellent service and the food was delicious.
We started with Allagash White steamed mussels - the crispy seasoned bread was very good and the mussels and sauce were perfect. My husband had Chicken Breast with cheddar mashed potatoes and Asian green beans - and Spicy Cranberry Peach Chutney. I had Filet Mignon with Ale Carmelized Onions and Mushrooms, Potatoes au Gratin and Asian green beans. We were both very happy with our choices. My dessert fruit crisp was a wonderful combination of fruity and warm and sweet and creamy and crunchy.
Our waiter was professional and friendly and very helpful. He was clearly busy with several other tables, but gave us his full attention at all the right times. We could not ask for a better dining experience and highly recommend Sierra Grille!
