I truly am a pet person. I once fostered a tiny, very shy applehead lavender point Siamese, Anya. She was a true talker. When we met she could say the word, "Hello" and every evening she greeted me repeatedly until I said, "Hello Anya" in return. By the time we parted she could say, "How are you" and "I love you" all as clear as a bell. It's been a decade and I still miss her. I've attempted twice to work with the Virginia branch of this rescue organization with no success. For those that succeed good on you. As a 20 plus year veteran of rescuing animals I find them a bit capricious and unfortunately too stuck in their procedures and opinions to be of use to me. Their loss as I am neither vain nor narcissist in the least.

My friend was looking for an older cat, not too frisky because her energy level is limited. Well, they found just the right cat for her and she is delighted. She doesn t have a computer, but they were kind enough to work through me to assist her with her wishes - blessings to them.

January 2015 I adopted my Princess Celeste Aida thru Siamese Rescue. She was 5 & a half at the time. She s a Tonkinese or Tonk-Siamese. Deep grey mink. She is my best pal. The Center put us both thru reviews to make sure she was getting a great home for herself. And the foster Mom taking care of her when I went to get her in Ft. Wayne, IN was the best - her care and wisdom would be a review by itself. I have recommended the Siamese Rescue many times.

This rescue operation has such an ineffective and unorganized adoption process, that it will take you months of frustrating paperwork issues if you happen to currently own cats.
I finally had to give up after two months of being told that I had to resubmit various forms and documentation and that every time I did, something was missing. I went through the paperwork with my vet to ensure it was completed and kept getting the run around from this organization. It seems that they rather keep the cats in limbo status of staying with foster homes than giving them a forever home. The sad fact is that if I happened to have not owned cats, they would have readily given me one, not even knowing what kind of owner I would be! But because I own two cats and got lost in paperwork issues been sent in, they refused to give me a chance to give one of them a home. Seems ironic considering I have experience owning and raising Siamese myself. If your looking to give a shelter cat a home, please use anyone else except this one, they will only frustrate you and leave you feeling saddened!

I ve gotten several animals from this organization and they are incredibly helpful and dedicated to trying to match needy cats with someone who can give them a good home for life. Highly recommend if you are looking to adopt.

The BEST! I've adopted 2 wonderful cats through SCRC. The process was thorough with great support from the fosters and the adoption team. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Cali and Lily give thumbs up... well, if they had opposable thumbs.

I have worked with them on several adoptions over the years. Siamese Rescue Center is a well run efficient organization that always looks out for the best interest of the cat. If you love Siamese cats this is the place to go.

I've adopted 4 Siamese from Siamese Rescue in VA: Dollie, the Lynxpoint; Little Guy (Bridge Kitty Flamepoint ) and the Flamepoint brothers, Charlie Slater and Grant Mitchell. So I might be biased, but SRC is an amazing rescue group that consists of an all-volunteer "army," aiming to make the best match of kitty and person. They'll even help w/cat transport via the Meezer Express.

They have a very rigorous screening process, but it's totally worth it. They really know their stuff--so if you are Siamese Madd, like I am, check them out.

They are a small group of people with limited resources who are dedicated to saving the lives of Siamese cats. Two years ago, I decided to give an older Siamese a loving home. I fell in love with Jasmine on the SCRC website. Her foster mom was the only SCRC foster in NC. In addition to her full time job, she literally ran from shelter to shelter to save cats (including Jasmine) , often spending her own money to care for them if the group s funds were low. She arranged for a caravan to drive Jasmine to a spot closer to our home in VA. Afterwards, she answered all questions. These people are angels.

I have had a wonderful experience from beginning to end with Siamese Rescue of Virginia and am now the proud owner of a Snowshoe who was delivered to me the day before Mothers Day. He is wonderful and I am so pleased with the help I received.

The staff is great, they care a lot about the cats and keep checking on them.
Edit: Our cat had a lot of tartar on his back teeth and had to be removed as well as two teeth. We would've appreciate this place to warn us as it is easily checkable (just look at his teeth).

I surrendered my cats because I got sick. It has been over a year and the updates they promised never happened. I kept asking for updates so they blocked me from their site. All of a sudden I get a update that is so generic and not signed. It was like they typed it to get me off their backs. Suzie was a sick cat that needed to be placed with someone who could hear her breathing. She was placed with deaf people. Suzie and Sallie do not like dogs. They were placed with dogs. This place has hung up on me, blocked me all because I asked for an update over a year ago. They are avoiding me at all costs which makes me worry even more about the cats

Adopting from them was literally the most agonising experience. They are some of the most holier-than-thou, rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The amount of hoops to jump through, questions to answer... it was exhausting and demeaning. I felt like I was being treated as if I was dumb.

I love my cat I adopted, but will never look to adopt from them again.
