Beautiful setting on the water. The food was delicious and perfect for summer. Our only complaint was that we ordered 6 dishes and they all came out at once but we very much enjoyed our meal here.
Maybe an off night. But not sure how this place is filled with 5 star reviews. The drinks were hastily made, unbalanced and a touch on the small side for the price. The food was not cooked well, at all. Whole table had the same issues. Fish was over cooked. Most things were aggressively seasoned, making parts of dinner completely inedible. All around, this place is mediocre at best. Great atmosphere and attentive staff are the only reason this isn t a 1 Star. You can do better.
My husband, children and I dined at Showfish on 6/20/2019. We had great service. I ordered raw oysters as an app and the cooked halibut entree. Unfortunately right as I stood up to leave, I threw up my whole meal over the deck as I definitely had food poisoning. As the summer is almost over I am hopeful they have improved. As for me and my family, we will not be returning to this restaurant or star island.
Service was great.Food was very good, they have delicious seafood and beautiful presentation. Inside and outside seating available, with nice views of the water . Would visit again.
True culinary technique on display. Chef Blutstein delivers a true locally inspired menu. No faking it here... the farmers have their own section on the menu! What a breath of fresh air in a town with mediocre food. Service is hit or miss but they did just open. Hopefully the service staff will catch up with impeccable food cominf out of the kitchen.
We had a fantastic dinner here for our anniversary. The drinks were elaborate and interesting and the meal was perfection. Our waiter was knowledgeable and gave us great service. All around a wonderful night!
My girlfriend and I had a great experience here. The food was delicious, especially the scallop carpaccio, and our server Sophia was excellent. We can highly recommend this place!
Food was excellent, service well I waited 40+ minutes for a server. They did give me free desert as a good gesture.
Enjoyed a wonderful lunch on a blustery fall day. Everything was delicious, and the service was warm and friendly.
The ambiance is great. The service is pretty good . The menu you have to prepare yourself for. The best way to describe it is weird. I will have to say though some of the odd combinations of ingredients do create some delicious dishes, others not so good. I found myself using Google to decide what to order, I did not want to throw $30 to $50 out the window. The pasta dish was the best we had ordered, none of us tried the chicken because that was too safe. The tile fish was also very good. The scallops were a tad under cooked. We did well with the appetizers except for the sandy textured clams casino. Complaining about those gave us free desserts all of which were excellent! I enjoyed myself, others not so much because of the volume of the music since it was also connected to the bar area. I guess they couldn't turn it down without reducing the volume in the bar area. I think this is the type of restaurant for a younger crowd looking for a unique experience and does not care what it costs.
Off the chain. Order everything. The 32oz tuna steak, cauli with pesto, crazy lobster, mushrooms, filet + dirty martini. Sexy.
Took a group of seven to dinner here. Place stood up to the hype, as the location and food was perfect. I'll be back. Expensive, but good. Very impressed with the wine list.
