It's a very nice place. Lots of lanes and events. The kitchen makes some tasty food too. My issue is the guns and ammo is sky high pricing. It's like they are trying to be a boutique dealer or reach an upper class customer. I think they would do better if they lowered the prices on the guns and ammo and sold in volume. But, my names not on the building and maybe it's working for them.

I just recently found this place(new to the area) and I went there to shoot a couple of new guns I bought. The absolute best staff I've ever been around at a range. Incredible customer service and professionalism. My experience was so good, I found an excuse to go back and purchse a pistol from them shortly after lol. The prices are very good and they have one of the best selections I've seen. Highly reccomend this place for its customer service, range quality and product availablilty. A+

Very friendly staff. However, for some reason they explicitly ban steel case ammo in their range. I understand banning steel core ammo, but I have no idea why anyone can't shoot lead core, steel cased ammo. Wish they mentioned that in the range contract/rules before I signed up for a membership. So basically I can't shoot 99% of AK ammo, unless I want to drop $1/rd for brass cased...

Great quality staff, very friendly, high quality shooting ranges. You can shoot rifles @ 100yd indoors. They have a good selection of rental firearms, also rent full auto and suppressed weapons. Very nice place will definitely be back.

I've used these guys 3 separate times. 1st, on a handgun purchase (pretty basic). 2nd, I ordered a $2000 rifle and paid for it in full. 2 months later with no rifle and no call, I decided to call. The response they gave is that they couldn't get that rifle. So I withdrew my order and the very next day I purchased the same rifle from another store. 3rd, I needed to get a muzzle device pinned and welded. This task could not be completed by their gunsmith. If you're coming to Carrollton, just go to Barnes.

Great place. Nothing else like it around. The only downside is that it is expensive. But to have such a huge selection of guns, ammo, and accessories in stock I'm sure that the overhead is steep. I love the place and anyone who is into firearms would too. A first rate establishment and would recommend to anyone.

They are very knowledgeable about the products they carry. Very friendly and always willing to help. They usually carry a large selection of handguns, rifles and ammunition. They ranges are outstanding and very efficient. The ladies basic handgun course is a great starting place for beginners and I truly enjoyed the class. I felt much more confident when It was complete.

I went to Shot Spot to get my scope mounting job done for my Lee Enfield No4. Cody is a very enthusiastic gunsmith. He is performing his job with great joy. When I took my rifle there to get my job done, he was very excited. The other staff were very friendly as well as starting from the Lady at the info desk to the other sales associates. You can take your mil surplus rifles as well as the modern weaponry. You can also find lots of cool clothing and accessories at the store.

Great Place to host an event!!! Recently hosted an event at Spot Shot and the entire group had a GREAT time. From the advice, planning and coordination it was done professionally (Thank You Sherri Jordan). The Range Safety Officers (Johnny Mac and Steve Dorman) were especially helpful and knowledgeable, offering advice and tips to the shooters. It was an extremely enjoyable day. "Hats off" to the venue and the staff!!!

I came to Hot Spot to look at hand guns to buy a 380. An elderly man greeted me and I told him what I was interested in. He showed me the hand gun case, but a employee had two men standing there talking. I said excuse me I would like to look. One man moved but the employee was propped on the case and would not move. Just kept taking and laughing. After that I told the man helping me ,I would just go some where else, they were just to busy talking and left.thats just rude! I will get it some where else.

Let me just start out with I was a member for a year and I will not be renewing my membership for many reasons. Most of my issues deal with the prices that they charge. Anyone that wants to take the time to look around can find better deals on everything in their store. their prices are usually at least $50 more than everywhere else. I have found better deals on new guns in pawn shops. Not to mention the range pricing is outrageous. $440 a year plus a one time $100 initiation fee? most places I have went to are about $350 a year with no initiation fee. The ammo is almost double what it should be and don't get me started on their used "bargains". Everytime I see that cabinet I can walk over to their new cabinets and find the gun new for $20 more. Just today I had a gun shipped to them and it arrived at about 11:30 to their store. They said due to high volume it took a while(5 hours to book it) and this is not the only time it has taken them a long time to book the firearm. still unacceptable. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

This place has a huge selection of Firearms and the employees are very knowledgeable about all of them. We recieved free range passes with our purchase and came back to try out the range. I haven't had the opportunity to shoot in many years and when I did it was with a rifle so it was nice to have the range safety officer there to help me with my new pistol. The whole experience for my family was pleasant thanks to the entire staff.

Their staff was polite and very willing to help, they had a decent selection of firearms, but honestly? It had a slight air of 'if you don't make so much money then you aren't really welcome here' vibe. They also don't really cater to a lot of shooters, in my opinion, selling high end clothing but not carrying duty belts and the like. It's a nice enough place, and the staff is incredibly helpful, or try to be, but I don't feel welcome there for the most part. Maybe it's me, who knows?

The effort put into the gear shop is extraordinary. This is a wonderful place to shop for a gift, be it firearms to fashion. The rifle range is the best I or anyone I know have ever seen. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful.

I am responding to the review written by Mr Skelton. I am a competitive shooter and a member of 5 different ranges. I frequent Shot Spot at least twice a week. I could not disagree more with his review. Every single employee at Shot Spot is friendly, professional, helpful, and go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. The safety officers are the best I ve ever seen. The counter people are by far, some of THE nicest and most helpful, accommodating people of all the ranges I go up. Mr Skelton, I suggest you go to Adventure Outdoors if you want to see what BAD range employees are like.

The range USED to be a good place to go shoot. Now, none of the range counter staff seem interested in doing anything besides looking at their phones. Couldn't get any help with the 100 yard range. At least they didn't charge me for the time when I told them I couldn't get it to function correctly. I have used it in the past, btw. I guess I will have to drive 35 minutes to shoot at Stoddard's from now on even though I only live 5 minutes down the road. Very disappointed.

I went for the first time yesterday and was very impressed! There is a great selection of guns, wide variety of parts and accessories, great little cafe, and the range was the best I have been to. Our range officer, Steve, was excellent! He was very helpful and knowledgeable and was in of himself enough to make me what to come back! The whole facility is very clean and well organized. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming back!

I've been eating lunch at Shot Spot once a week for a while now and I must say, every time, the lunch special has been delicious. Lately the specials have been a more healthy option and they have been great too. I highly recommend.

Awesome. I wish that I could give this place more than 5 stars. My son wants to go hunting with me in Texas, but he never shot a gun. I bought a Groupon for a 9mm introduction, but I spoke with Julia and Sherri. Even though Sherri said that they were pretty full, she arranged for the lead instructor (forgot his name) to teach him a two hour private lesson, because I was only going to be visiting my son for a week. The first hour was a very professional class room instruction teaching my son shooting basics, especially safety. He spent the second hour on the range with my son teaching him how to shoot, aim, load, unload, and more safety. Professionalism: 5 stars I only dealt with the range staff, but the store staff was helping customers. Great customer service skills. Facilities: 5 stars: clean, organized, well laid out, and safe. Value: 6 stars. Worth the 6 hour round trip. Instructor: 7 stars. Not sure about the other instructors, but the lead instructor is excellent, in both his knowledge and instructor style. You can sense his passion about teaching proper gun / shooting procedures. Also, I could tell that he is a retired senior NCO, which probably shaped his teaching style. Overall, anyone looking to learn how to shoot, especially teens should come here. Also, military members from Robin's AFB, or Fort Benning should make the hike. This experience was worth the 6 hour round trip, plus I know that my son has a good starting point.

Visited twice and I have to say all of the staff was incredibly friendly. A hidden gem if you are into the shooting sports, this place is a must see. Great selection of firearms, but they didn't forget about the ladies, there is clothing and quite a bit more. Just go visit for yourself .
