I've listened to and supported WBUR for many years now and the continue to live up to the high standards or talk/public radio that I expect. Whether it's "Wait Wait..." or TAL on the weekend, or days filled with Tom Ashbrook's On Point or very late nights with the BBC World News service, I think Boston has one of the best programmed NPR station in the country.
you'll l get more view if you play 'What do you mean' by justin bieber his snog is brand new it comes out tomorrow. My i remind you he has more than 60 MILLION fans that are called 'Beliebers' so please play it and also tell your Radio Firends Thanks :)
The best local NPR station in Boston area, for news and original programming.
I don't listen to this station personally but I have listened to many of their fine productions, including the much beloved CarTalk. (Why oh why did it have to end?!? It was such a wonderful part of my Saturday mornings for so many years.)
Can't imagine myself on wheels to work or anywhere in metro Boston and not turning on my favorite radio station.
This is truly a great space for Boston. Its idealistic come to reality. Come enjoy!
This is a response to the Open Source/Christopher Lyden program, ostensibly about "borders." For this avid radio listener it was a shamefully biased presentation of the history of the Palestinian conflict (among other conflicts whose historical veracity I cannot speak to). It's not the facts so much, but the way the facts are presented that reflects the pro-Palestinian bias. I am furious and would withdraw support for BUR, but I like many of the other programs I hear, and I hear a much more balanced and respectfully worded explanation of the same historical facts. (Just not from the BBC, whose bias and line of reasoning also infuriates!) If it weren't for the fact that anti-semitism in the world is on the rise, especially in Europe, I might not be quite as sensitive to this shameful presentation. Please, Christopher, get better guests and try not to let your on bias show so much.
