Working in this crazy industry you grow relationships with people you will never meet. I've been working with Stephanie T at ShipEX and she always does a great job. She even owns her own mistakes as well, I appreciate her honesty in an industry where lying becomes so easy. She has definitely become my go to on specific lanes. Keep up the good work ShipEX we appreciate you!

The company don't care about there drivers. When a drives wife calls and says they need there husband home because of a family emergency on a Sunday and you are told to call in the morning and they do at the end of day. They don't do as they say. Then when you call again because the situation changes or seems as a fight to get my husband home. They say take a brake and then you can come home.

It's strange that I was terminated because of low performance for at the next company I do an average of 3000+ miles a week. Also strange that shipex terminates 58 drivers in one day.

My best is I used to sit and wait 2-3 days wait on a load from dispatch at Shipex, yet at my next company I joined I hardly am offloaded and I got my next load.

Seems the issues at Shipex is the dispatch department that can't keep the driver busy?
At the end of the day Shipex know how to play mind games with the drivers, where the driver feels guilty, I recall that while I was with Shipex it's been told to me by dispatch "why worry if you sitting, you getting a weekly paycheck" this after I've sent a message saying "next load?"

NO! NO! NO! NO!! DO NOT LET THOSE GOOD LOOKING TRU...

NO! NO! NO! NO!! DO NOT LET THOSE GOOD LOOKING TRUCKS RUNNING ON I80 FOOL YOU!! I am an actual driver who was hired by this company and let me tell you the truth about this company. DO NOT WORK HERE TRUST ME YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DO!! Monday and Tuesday they have you do Drug Test and Road Test. Easy stuff. Wednesday you get to Orientation and Gary who runs Operations meet you and gives you a handshake welcoming you on board. Orientation goes from Wednesday till Friday. Basic stuff. Orientation these are the things that we were told that recruiters did not tell us.

This is where things get ugly:

1. We are told we have to run 550 miles a day thats mandatory. 550 MILES A DAY MANDATORY. Are you kidding me, do you know the hazards and delays truck drivers encounter that this cant happen?? They tell us to communicate when we have delays. Well when you start you will be apart of the Black Team which ANTHONY THE CRY BABY PUNK Whose your Dispatcher will intimidate you, threaten you, and harass you on the Rand Mcnally if you arent you running your full miles. He will also schedule you extremely tight on schedule on purpose and if you communicate to him any delays he will ignore you and then go off on you for being late. TRUST ME IM NOT LYING. He also demands you answer the phone WHILE DRIVING which is totally ILLEGAL. HE HAS NO RESPECT FOR DRIVERS AND SOUNDS LIKE A WHINNY CRY BABY WHEN HE TRIES TO ARGUE WITH YOU.

2. Your Logs are being monitored by JAKE. JAKE FROM LOGS IS ALSO A DISRESPECTFUL IDIOT. HE HAS NO CARE FOR YOU DRIVERS AT ALL. HE WILL LAUGH AT YOU.. HE IS THE ONE YOU HAVE TO ANSWER TO TOO ANY LOG DISCREPANCIES. HE IS EXTREMELY RUDE, INTIMIDATING, AND HE WILL HARASS YOU AND MAKE YOUR LIFE HELL IF YOU DONT DO AS HE SAYS. Even as you explain any thing to him HE WONT CARE ABOUT YOU OR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. TRUST ME!

3. I WAS ONLY THERE 19 DAYS BEFORE THEY DECIDED TO TERMINATE ME DUE TO POOR WORK PERFORMANCE. THEY HAVE TERMINATED OVER 23 DRIVERS IN A MONTH!! DO YOU WANT TO COME ALL THE WAY OUT TO SALT LAKE AND GET SETTLED FOR YOU TO GET TERMINATED BECAUSE YOUR NOT DRIVING 550 MILES A DAY AND NOT MEETING UNREALISTIC ILLEGAL LOADS?? AGAIN TRUST ME ON THIS IM NOT MAKING THIS UP.

4. DAVE WHO HANDLES ISSUING THE TRUCKS...ANY TIME YOU KINDLY JUST SIMPLY ASK ABOUT DRIVING AND BEING ISSUED A CERTAIN TRUCK HE WILL LAUGH AT YOU. HE TAKES YOU ASKING HIM FOR A TRUCK YOU WOULD LIKE TO DRIVE AS A JOKE. HE WILL SAY THINGS LIKE IM COLORBLIND. DO NOT COME ASKING ME FOR A NEW TRUCK. AGAIN, IS ALL OF THIS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR DRIVERS??

5. THEIR JUNK "POLICY" IS TO HAVE DRIVERS DRIVE 550 MILES A DAY AND ALSP MEET A MINIMUM OF 12K MILES A MONTH. GUESS WHAT DRIVERS...LETS DO SOME SIMPLE MATH HERE. 60K SALARY WHICH THEY DO GIVE YOU. YOUT MAKING .38CPM...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? THEY ARE SQUEEZING EVERYTHING THEY CAN OUT OF YOU DRIVERS. THEY SAY THEY OFFER BONUS FOR RUNNING EVEN MORE. REALLY??
DO THE MATH. YOUR NOT MAKING MORE. YOUR ACTUALLY MAKING THE SAME FOR RUNNING MORE. WHY RUN MORE AND KILL YOUR SELF FOR AN EXTRA FEW HUNDREDS EVERY 3 MONTHS. AGAIN NOT WORTH IT.

6. IN CONCLUSION. DO NOT WORK HERE!! FROM A DRIVER BEING THERE IN PERSON AND EXPERIENCING THE THINGS I DID, IM GOING TO SIMPLY SAY THIS, DO NOT DO IT!!. YOU WILL REGRET IT! I PROMISE YOU. KEEP LOOKING. TRUST ME. TRUST ME.

7. AND FOR YOU SO CALLED "MANAGERS WHO CARE ABOUT YOUR DRIVERS" PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO MY NEGATIVE COMMENT ABOUT YOUR HORRIBLE COMPANY. I GAVE YOU GUYS PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITIES TO CORRECT YOUR MISTAKES. NONE OF YOU EVER CALLED ME. AND YES WHEN YOU DID ONLY A FEW TIMES OT WAS TO BLAME ME, POINT FINGERS AT ME, TALK DOWN TO ME. WHY WOULD I EVER WANT TO TALK TO ANYOME PUTTING ME DOWN?!?!?

8. LASTLY. I SPOKE TO A FEW OTHERS IN ORIENTATION I KEPTED IN TOUCH WITH. THEY ALL HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME!!. THE NUMBERS DONT LIE!!

-THANKS AND GOD BLESS.

Stephanie is one of the most responsible and best dispatchers I have ever worked with. Being from Chicago she brings back memories of the GOAT, MJ himself. I used to have trouble booking trucks and covering some of our freight, but she gave me confidence to smile and dial and now I can get trucks covered with my eyes closed. She is always a pleasure to work with and is one of the most responsible and hardest working humans I have ever met. Once the federalies stop hating on us and finally allow human cloning she will be my first nominee to get cloned. Hopefully her bosses will realize how valuable she is to the company and will one day change the name to StephEX. Vote Stephanie for Prez 2020!!!

Driven for 27 years OTR, 6 years at ShipEx. The people at this company are what make this job enjoyable and tolerable. Truck driving can and does consume your life. I believe that the people at ShipEx from the Safety department, to the Fleet Maintenance and dispatchers, all the way up to the owner, care about my abilities, and listen to my concerns. I truly enjoy working at Shipex, and the people I work with.
Dispatchers and load planners do a great job moving the Fleet. Alex Webb is my dispatcher and takes good care of me.

Specifically, his industry knowledge and dependability makes working with ShipEX a great experience. Would recommend them to anyone I value in the transportation business.

ShipEx is the best trucking company I have ever driven for. The trucks and trailers are always in great condition / no more than 2yrs old. My pay is always the same every week no matter what. My dispatcher Jeff is one of the best dispatchers I have ever worked with/ gets me home when needed but also makes sure I m safe and hit that goal of 12,000 miles per month. Best of all my wife is very happy with the company especially with the pay not fluctuating really helps. If there are any truckers looking for. Good pay, New truck and great mechanics who really care about your equipment . ShipEx is the place to be

Shipex is a great place to work for. I've been working for Team Red under Anthony Vierra himself for almost a year and a half. Anthony is a great person to work for.

I highly recommend working for Team Red under Anthony Vierra. Not only does he know his job of a DM, he knows how to treat his drivers with respect. I've worked with him for quite some time and I can honestly say he has treated me very well.

I love this company. I have been here almost 6 months, and don't have the first complaint. Most companies you go to, there's something to complain about within the first 3 months, not here. Stacy from driver support is a sweet heart. Any question I went to her with got answered and resolved. Enisa was my recruiter. She got me registered, booked a plane, and had me into orientation within 4 days.....She said it would take about a week or more, but she got it done. Anthony was my first dispatcher. He was awesome in the short time we worked together. Jason is now my DM. Awesome guy. Keeps me moving, responds in adequate time with any issues, all around good guy. Shane and Tony in maintenance are funny as hell. They get done any problems with equipment while cutting up with you at the same time. All and all, don't see myself leaving ShipEx any time soon

I would defiently reccomend working here. Overall it's a good company to work for. They do have there problems which can get annoying. Like having to sit for days and not get a load. They definetly have a hard time keeping people moving. So no matter how much you try to get the bonus its pretty hard to do. Having a dispatcher lie to you is also a little frustrating. But having the salary makes these problems not as bad. It's still a good company defiently would reccomend it. I just think there's to many problems to give them 5
stars though

Shipex has been good to me. I had to leave due to medical and personal reasons and they totally understood my situation and gladly worked with me. I really don't like to see drivers put Shipex down, saying they are racist and do not care about their drivers. They expect their drivers to drive 550 miles a day, which is a realistic goal, but they do understand there may be days that drivers may not be able to reach that goal. If you are a driver complaining about that, then you must be a driver who is site seeing or using the job to do your thing. If that is the case then you should expect to receive calls from Shipex questioning your miles. After all, the name of the game is Drive Miles. Although I never meet the owner, the staff from recruiting, safety, maintenance, and dispatch works with the drivers very well from my experience. So if you are one of these people who are not able to meet Shipexs requirements, you did the right thing by moving on, because their demands are realistic. Shipex is a great company and I thoroughly enjoyed working there.
P.S. Missing you Greg, Jake, and Dave. I Wil be back soon Thank you all.Henry

I love this company. I have been with them over a year now. I drive with my girlfriend in the passenger seat and my dogs in the sleeper. It was very easy to get on to salary pay. I was on salary pay within 2 months and I've never had a problem with it. Jeff Guymon is my dispatcher and he is more of a friend than a boss. He genuinely cares about making everything as smooth as possible. Best dispatcher I've had in my career. Even the safety department and the mechanics are all welcoming and nice people. They take excellent care of all the equipment (which is all new). Best trucking company I've ever worked for.

I have been a driver for 44 years and with ShipEX Inc the past 8 months. I came to ShipEX because of the salary for drivers and I no longer have to worry what my check will be each week. The miles are good, people are great to work with. They pay 100% of my health care and life insurance. The equipment is new and has the latest technology that make my job easier and safer. Routes are consistent, and I get home time when I ask for it. I would recommend ShipEX to any experienced driver that is looking for a great career.

Shipex is without a doubt hands down the best company I've ever worked for. The steady paycheck is a real benefit. One that all companies should start looking at. Not only does it give the driver piece of mind, but also makes us safer as we are not driving like mad people to get the miles. Still need to put in the miles, but the desperation is not there. Everyone there has been great. My dispatcher Jason Maynard has been great. He has been the only dispatcher I have ever had that I've not had a blow out with. He tries real hard especially when it comes to my home time.
Everyone in safety really wants you to do well and succeed. Orientation was fantastic as they really help get the driver through it, without the normal squashing of drivers on buses and in hotel rooms. Thanks for a great experience so far all at shipex. Looking forward to being here for a very long time.

In the short time I have been with ShipEx, I have come to learn with this company, I know I will always be given well maintained equipment to operate with, provided longer runs to utilize my driving hours to the upmost and have professional friendly personnel to work with. Though problems arise within any company, ShipEx handles theirs professionally, swiftly and with as little stress towards the driver as possible. I would and do recommend this company to any that wants to be with a strong well adjusted company till retirement. One thing I believe in is; I'm not looking for a job, I'm looking for a home. And with ShipEx, I have. Thank you

3 people left orientation and I stayed here for 7 days. Enough said. READ THE UPDATE.

Update: Eldon you said during orientation if we ever had a problem we would be able to contact you. Well I have tried on several occasions. I asked for your office phone number the reply I got was "he's busy we will have him call you back" I tried asking for your email address I got "we're not allowed to give that out" I tried to reach out to you several times. Although the second I put a negative review on Google I get your attention. How convenient.

I HAVE SOLID PROOF THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE DISHONEST AND NOT WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE.

My friend worked there and dispatch wanted him to drive with an air leak from Nebraska to NY plus gave him impossible appt times as a solo driver. He was miserable there for 2 months plus he told me how many quit. Do your research before applying to this company instead of trusting reviews. He quit recently and going with a new company now so I'm happy for him.

I was set up for failure from day one with this company. Even in orientation Gary Perry was very rude to me and asked me to go back to my last job, while waiting for my hair test to come back. But I chose shipex because I thought it was a great company, boy was I wrong. I dont know if its my skin color or where Im from, but heres my experience. I have no problems with running hard but during the winter months, I was in every winter storm warning possible! And their policy is to find a safe haven, and wait it out. Well I got blamed for not performing, and running their 550 mile a day requirement. In the winter months, but they let me go back to work, because they cant fire me for not driving in hazards weather which I told them. Jeff was my DM in the winter and I told him to get me in some warm weather so I can get some miles, but he keep me in storms all winter. So I wouldn't get enough miles to get their bonus, which you got to run 12,000 miles a month to get the bonus, and if you take hometime thats impossible. Well Alex became my new DM and I was running the loads and miles he was giving me. I was on time for deliveries and pick ups. But alot of times after I deliver, I would have to wait the next day before I pick up because most of the freight they have load in the am. And my ten hour reset would be up in the evening, but I would have to wait the next morning before they could get me reloaded. So they fired me after 8 months, because they said I wasnt performing, they let me work there for 8 months without performing. Wow, but Im running 3400 to 3700 miles a week and the $967 salary only equals about 38 cpm. Plus the $967 salary, is what you will make as long as you're there, they dont give raises. I was relaying a load with one of their drivers who been with them for 4 years and he said he makes what I make $967 a week. And I only got the bonus maybe once, because they control your miles and they will not give you 12,000 miles a month, because they cheap and hate giving out a bonus. I ran the miles that my DM gave me and I got fired for not performing. I have no problems with running, but I cant run the miles if its not given to me. And they dont have enough freight to keep up with my speed. Plus they got a audio system on the dashcam in their trucks. I seen the blue audio light in my truck on most of the times, and sometimes they would cut it off, it would change from bright to dim. Which made me feel very uncomfortable. But they was listening to me all the while, my music phone calls even while I slept. Worst company I've ever worked for!

I have worked for a lot of different trucking companies over the past 30 years and I am pretty sure that I have found a home with Ship Ex. I have been working for them for about two months and I could not be happier. They treat me really well.I have a brand new truck they keep me moving and I am loving it! Before starting here I had a lot of doubt because it almost sounded too good to be true but I am finding that it was all true and Stacy took the time before I was hired on to go through each one of my concerns and clear them up for me making me feel more secure to make the move.

What do I like about ShipEx? Communication is respect, and ShipEx makes me feel respected. From the owner to the team of managers he has assembled, everyone works together to make sure I can do my job and enjoy it. I feel welcome to walk in any door with questions, concerns or problems and know that I am treated honestly. It's a pleasure to run with new equipment, and a joy knowing that is maintained by a shop that takes such pride in their work. Knowing when and where my next load is going, I always feel in control of my miles and home time. With ShipEx, I feel like a respected member of an important team.

I used to give this company 5 starts but the Safety department has gone down hill. My go to guy has not be available for weeks and the people they have in his place have no idea how to read a log Book. Bring Jake back. We can't get knowledgable help after hours now and whenever I have had to have a log book entered it was entered wrong. Gary maybe good to talk to but has no idea how to help with logs. I hope for the driver's sake and the company sake that Jake comes back soon. A lot of talk around the yard about him being demoted. I genuinely hope this isn't true. Jake is the only safety person who takes the time to answer questions and doesn't treat drivers like we are dispensable.

I just wanted to say thank you for putting Ted Farmer on my load. The load he did was a very high profile load for The Mars Corp s annual meeting. This job not only required a driver to P/U and deliver on time, but it also required a lot of interaction with some Mars Corporate employees.. The Mars people reached out to me to say what a great driver/ person Ted was. And that they enjoyed his sense of humon in particular. Ship EX does this high profile load for me and my customer every year and the reason I use Ship EX is because I can always count on you to deliver quality drivers. And once again you came thru with Ted Farmer. You rarely find drivers of his caliber on the road anymore. Thank you.

I used to work for shipex 4 yrs ago and I really liked my driver manager Tee and her sister stepfany was nice but always busy. Tee would try and get me home as much as she could and would always listen to me when I was upset and not rush me off the phone I didn't get along with Gary Heck in Safety he's the reason I left. Im working local now but if I had to go back over the road I would go back to shipex and work for Tee. good people it wasn't perfect but it's trucking this is one of the top companies i worked for in my 26 yrs of driving.

I'm getting close to 12,000 miles monthly and my dispatch loves me. I have never been late for my home time and I continue to get paid when home. I have also received 2 safety bonuses each at 350. By July I'll qualify for the 2500 bonus.

jason brown told me i was hired and then after packing my apartment and preparing to move, i was told different A WEEK LATER! i called about the flight arrangement, and i was told he quit and i did not qualify because my 4 years experience was local and not otr. that is information that does not take a week to find out! they dragged this on while still sending me paperwork in the meantime to fill out. this place sucks just like the rest of the sorry trucking companies. playing games with peoples time livelihood!

Absolutely the worst company I've ever worked for. They will try to screw you over every chance they get. The owner can't be bothered to even acknowledge your existence. I've been driving for 20 years and have never seen a more unorganized company. They won't give you a raise, you won't get the bonuses. They have one of the worst turn over rates in the industry and the treat you like inept students. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE. They will also make it as hard as possible for you to get your last check. They still haven't reimbursed me for the stuff on my last check.

Great equipment. Salary takes the anxiety out of freight problems. Company paid insurance is nice too. With my experience I could make considerably more money elsewhere, and I've considered it. But Anthony, my dispatcher keeps me on the lanes I like and treats me like a friend. Overall this is an easy company to work for.
