I was set up for failure from day one with this company. Even in orientation Gary Perry was very rude to me and asked me to go back to my last job, while waiting for my hair test to come back. But I chose shipex because I thought it was a great company, boy was I wrong. I dont know if its my skin color or where Im from, but heres my experience. I have no problems with running hard but during the winter months, I was in every winter storm warning possible! And their policy is to find a safe haven, and wait it out. Well I got blamed for not performing, and running their 550 mile a day requirement. In the winter months, but they let me go back to work, because they cant fire me for not driving in hazards weather which I told them. Jeff was my DM in the winter and I told him to get me in some warm weather so I can get some miles, but he keep me in storms all winter. So I wouldn't get enough miles to get their bonus, which you got to run 12,000 miles a month to get the bonus, and if you take hometime thats impossible. Well Alex became my new DM and I was running the loads and miles he was giving me. I was on time for deliveries and pick ups. But alot of times after I deliver, I would have to wait the next day before I pick up because most of the freight they have load in the am. And my ten hour reset would be up in the evening, but I would have to wait the next morning before they could get me reloaded. So they fired me after 8 months, because they said I wasnt performing, they let me work there for 8 months without performing. Wow, but Im running 3400 to 3700 miles a week and the $967 salary only equals about 38 cpm. Plus the $967 salary, is what you will make as long as you're there, they dont give raises. I was relaying a load with one of their drivers who been with them for 4 years and he said he makes what I make $967 a week. And I only got the bonus maybe once, because they control your miles and they will not give you 12,000 miles a month, because they cheap and hate giving out a bonus. I ran the miles that my DM gave me and I got fired for not performing. I have no problems with running, but I cant run the miles if its not given to me. And they dont have enough freight to keep up with my speed. Plus they got a audio system on the dashcam in their trucks. I seen the blue audio light in my truck on most of the times, and sometimes they would cut it off, it would change from bright to dim. Which made me feel very uncomfortable. But they was listening to me all the while, my music phone calls even while I slept. Worst company I've ever worked for!
