Just had dinner at their restaurant named Harold's, which is named after one of their long term customers. Harrold is super imposed in all the pictures on the walls. Now that's just funny. Food and service is always consistently good. I've heard they do a really good breakfast/brunch as well. Reasonable prices and good quality.

If you travel a lot, you appreciate the small touches that the hotels offer. And the Sheraton cannot be beaten at exzelez. The room service is perfect. The receptionist remembers your name / room number despite the size and the hundredfold visitors. You just feel comfortable in the Sheraton and the Starbucks in the entrance hall is the icing on the cake.
Kudos and I look forward to being back next time.

Visited this hotel for a conference recently and I was very pleased at the service I received from the staff and the management.

Firstly, I was travelling with my wife who is wheel chair bound. At first our room that we were assigned was located all the way up on the 8th floor. As this was a long distance for her to travel we requested that we could have a room closer to the conference space. The staff was immensely helpful and we were given a room that was only steps from the main conference space without any hassle! Thank you to the lady who helped us at the front desk we really appreciate it.

The conference space is huge and well laid out, with everything located in two central areas that are connected by the main lobby. I loved this as it was easy to get to and find everything. My only negative on the event space was that there were some meeting rooms located on the 2nd floor and were hard to find.

The hotel has a pretty nice layout and is located within an acceptable walking distance of a mall and a grocery store so you can pick up any goods you may need during your stay. The staff whom I interacted with were all friendly and helpful enough to get what I needed. Honestly my biggest problem was how absurdly expensive their in-house bar seemed to be, but at least you can walk for five minutes or fewer to get to a much more reasonable bar or restaurant without much drop, if any, in quality.

We hosted a large conference here last week and had the most amazing service. The staff were always friendly and accomadating, the rooms were very comfortable, and the hotel is centrally located! The hot tub and pool is worth checking out not many people use it so it was pretty relaxing. I love that there is a starbucks right in the hotel, I wouldn't mind if it was open a bit later though, as they close at 6pm. The food was also very well put together, and they accommodated so many of our special requests so easily! Thanks for a wonderful week!

I huge shoutout to the Sheraton on Westminster Highway. The Canada Line was stalled going to YVR two nights in a row this week. I hopped on the hotel shuttle to get me close to home. My bus pass ended up calling out of my bag. The staff at the hotel were very helpful when I called to inquire if it had been found, and they actually called me when they didn't find anything in their initial search, and when they did find it later. They were very kind and polite.

The shuttle drivers were also very polite .

Service was good. Had to pay for parking even though the concierge said that our event was covered According to the host of the event, it was not. Breakfast was good but pretty standard for a morning event. Conference rooms were pretty spacious.

Very good food here. We came on Harold Cross' 97th birthday for lunch which was awesome - the whole restaurant sang happy birthday to him and we all got cake. Such a precious moment. Harold has been coming to the restaurant for the past... Forever with his wife and he continues to do so daily!

Before you read the below, the jist of this review...

Before you read the below, the jist of this review; Do yourself a huge favour and stay at the Marriott literally 10 feet across the parking lot. After my below experience, I promptly checked out of the Sheraton, checked in at the Marriott and they even gave me a discount because they sympathized.

The absolute worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. The fire alarm went off which normally isn't an issue but once I got to the lobby, the staff advised it was nothing to worry about as it was caused from the smoke machine from a Christmas party that was taking place in the Westminster ballroom. Again, wouldn't have been a big big issue but after 30 minutes, I asked to speak to a manager and he played it off. Laughingly, he told me it was what it was and there was nothing they could do about it. What's worse is the fire department was there 20 minutes before all this started, as I was told from the manager who laughed at me, and said there was nothing that anyone could do and to just let it happen. Are you kidding me? Turn the smoke machine off. I walked right by the room and literally saw the smoke machine still on and the music blasting even louder. The alarm was so loud, I could feel it in my teeth. Absolutely unacceptable. Managers laughing at it off, not caring about anyone else. This just tells me they'll do whatever they can to cater to whomever pays more. As I said at the beginning of this review, do yourself a HUGE favour. The Marriott is literally right across, stay there. Avoid this hotel at all costs. May not reflect on Sheraton as a company but this has put me off all Sheraton hotels and it's affiliates.

This hotel may claim to be a four-star hotel, but ...

This hotel may claim to be a four-star hotel, but my experience did not reflect that. I participated in a conference here and over my three days at the venue, I was thoroughly underwhelmed. Most aspects, especially the decor, the layout, and the rates, were disappointing and do not inspire a return visit.

The decor is reminiscent of a chocolate factory in that it's brown, dark, and monotonous. There's a lamp on the hallway every 10 m. Inside the rooms it's better, but the balconies are moldy and look out onto concrete. Not what comes to mind for a four-star.

The breakout conference rooms are located in many different parts of the hotel, which caused extensive confusion in our guests. Other hotels have all their breakout rooms in one wing, but this hotel has theirs on two floors and multiple wings. Moreover, the only way to get up to the second floor is through an elevator. There are supposed to be two but the other one is "under repair" with no signs of anyone working on it or when it will reopen. There are two elevators to different parts of the building and once you've gone up the elevators, the building is shaped in such a way that you can only go to some rooms and not others. There are no signs indicating where they go to. A simple "to rooms 1xx-1xx" sign would really make this easier. We had to make these on our own -- not impressed.

Finally, before I had ever visited this hotel, I saw the invoice and thought their rates seemed reasonable, albeit a bit high. For example, $5 per person for a coffee/tea setting is what you would expect from a specialty coffee shop, not a self-serve bar with less than ten options. $8500 over two days for five breakout rooms and a large meeting room is outrageous, especially since the AV (for one room only) is another $3700. Each item may only seem a bit more expensive than it should be, but when you add it up and multiply by all the attendees, it gets out of hand quickly. I would be okay to pay this much for four-star quality but we did not quite receive that.

On the bright side, this hotel has nice water. In the lobby there is fruit-infused water and each breakout room gets 30-odd glasses and many pitchers. Considering that hardly anybody drinks it, it isn't the best use of water. I guess hotels waste so much water anyways, so it's literally a drop in the bucket. Maybe they should build on the water inspiration and flush out the current design/pricing schemes and replace them with actual four-star value. Our experience at this venue was mediocre at best and I will not be recommending this to our conference-planners next year, or anyone else for that matter.

Clean hotel with great location. Was a bit disappointed that free parking didn't come along with the room. I think it was about $18 a night more. Whereas the Marriott across from us had the free parking. We initially got placed into an accessibility friendly room (neither of us require this) and didn't find it to our liking so we asked to change and they gladly accommodated (at 12:30 am when we arrived). Hotel staff were always really friendly and professional.
