Wedding & Reception - In November of 2018 our daughter was married at Shemer Art Center. We had 160 guests and it was a lovely event. The staff, especially the President/Exec Director Shonna James, was very accommodating and helpful. It was a perfect inside/outside venue, and we have a lifetime of wonderful memories to share.

Innovative activities and quality of art exhibitions seems to have gone downhill over the past couple of years.
I am not sure if it is related to the change in executive directors.
As an arts patron I would like to see the Shemer become a more vital contributor to the Phoenix art scene.
Nice variety of good art classes and workshops. Interesting exhibits inside and in gardens. Wonderful atmosphere in charming vintage converted residential building.

Enrolled my daughter in a week long summer art camp program here and she loved it. The instructors and staff are friendly and I was surprised by the amount of drawings, paintings and sculpture she accomplished during the week she was there. She is excited to come back next summer!
I loved this place.. the instructor is amazing and the people around.. I had a very nice experience taking my pottery class.

This house was built in 1919 for the man who was supervising bringing water to the area. Over the years other people lived in the house, and around 1960's a woman purchase the house, and immediately gifted it to the neighborhood of Arcadia to preserve it. Now it is a museum.
Shemer Art Center has been fantastic. I took a beginner pottery class with Alan Jones and have really enjoyed the learning process. The Center keeps classes small and had instituted policies to keep students safe during the pandemic. My favorite days are class days.
I can t say enough about this beautiful place and the awesome staff, headed by Shonna James! She made my guests, wife, and I feel very welcome, still with our safety in mind. The ambiance at Shemer is elegant yet simple, creating a perfect environment and vibe. I appreciate how they don t force a list caterers or bar staffs; it definitely assisted in making my wife and I s event truly our own unique experience.
Awesome place. Worth checking out and great art on display and some is available for purchase. I think taking a class at Shemer would be fun and educational.

A beautiful art center and gallery that supports the art of local High School kids. Worth a visit.
Volunteered with the kids camp today and had so much fun. Instructors are great and the kids are super creative!
They have great art classes & fun events. I'm a gift shop artist so come in & shop. The shop has wonderful one-of-a-kind pieces that are all handmade.
Outstanding art center, even if petite, but well organized and designed exhibits & community events.
