I can't comment on this firm's service, but I can comment on the attitude and rudeness of its staff. I recently held an event at the Nobu hotel in Shoreditch (14th November) and unfortunately the sound proofing of the rooms in the event space wasn't the best.
Shearman & Sterling were holding an event in the room opposite to our event and on several occasions a lady came out of the room to ask us to make our guests be quiet. I understand the frustrations of the noise disturbance, but we were holding an event for 40 of our customers, I could hardly tell them to stop speaking during the networking breakfast.
But it all got a lot worse when a man from S&S came storming out of the room to shout just inches from my face (in front of one of my guests) telling me to tell my guests to be quiet and threatened to 'report me to the management if it happened again'. I was completely shook up by this incident and can honestly say I have never been spoken to with such lack of respect and aggression in my life. The same man came out later on and verbally abused one of my colleagues and put his hand in her face repeatedly, and shortly after this he came out to 'apologise' to me but again became aggressive and spoke over me and stormed off after again putting his hand up in my face and telling me 'he was done' and that 'we didn't need to discuss it any further'.
I would never deal with a company that employs staff such as this and will be advising all the businesses and professionals and family and friends that I know to stay well away from this company - there are plenty of law firms, I would take your business elsewhere.
