What an amazing place for a real girlfriends retreat/birthday celebration. The Spa Body Wrap had me floating away. Pool and Hot tub were a perfect way to start the day and the S'mores kits were the perfect way to end it. Brunch French toast - was memorably good. The view of mountains was breathtaking. Cannot say enough great about it beyond I can't wait to go back.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The grounds are very well kept and everything is very clean. The view of the river is beautiful and they offer river trips right from the premises to go down the Delaware river.
We had a good time. Rooms are very small and need to be updated. But overall we had fun. Amy and the other older gentlemen at the coffee shop were amazing. Also the shuttle driver who is in charge of booking golf events was very nice. Highly recommended. Beautiful view of the Delaware River.
It is a nice place. Like comfort food it is necessary from time to time.
NOT worth the rates they charge. There is a big difference between being professional and efficient and just being a snot. The check-in person was the latter. I tried to ask how long are you allowed to park out front to bring your luggage in. She interrupted my question and told me to park in the lot and haul my luggage over to the Inn - not a small distance. Being a 67-year old female meant nothing to her. No respect, no courtesy, no understanding. The TV remote would not work and I had to have Maintenance come up twice to figure out what was wrong. The window, which I could open and allow the fresh, rain-soaked breeze to come in (this was a plus) had no screen. When I walked the grounds to see what was where, I looked up at where my room was and saw I was the ONLY room that did not have a screen. The bed and furnishings were very nice. But the water temperature in the bath/shower was tepid at best. In the morning, when I needed to pack, I flipped on the bathroom light and it shorted out ALL the lighting in the room. Luckily it was beginning to get light outside and I could just make out all my belongings and could get everything packed. Why didn't I call for Maintenance? It was 5 AM & I didn't have the time for them to come up to the room to figure it out. I needed to be on the road by 6. I will NEVER return to this place. The check-out guy in the morning didn't even return my cheery "Morning." Again - big difference between being professional and being a snot.
Stayed here for a friend's wedding. The grounds are beautiful and makes for an excellent wedding venue. The staff and service was wonderful. 4 for that.
As a hotel, this place was extremely disappointing. Furnutire was worn out and drawers wouldn't stay closed, cheap window units for a/c, half of our mattress was just a crater. I honestly can't even describe how bad our room was, so I'll just let my photos do the talking for me. This is not even remotely close to being acceptable for $250/night. I've stayed in cheap budget motels that were nicer. -100 for the room.
What a wonderful day on the golf course. Well maintained course with spectacular views. The employees are also super friendly.
Golf was challenging and enjoyable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely play again. Only negative is that it is difficult to get a tee time, but that demonstrates how great the golf is.
Gives off the impression of a house your formerly rich aunt bought when she was rich but is not anymore. The building is beautiful but the lack of up keep has left the rooms ragged, for example the shower handles are broken, and the elevator was also not operational completely negating the wheelchair entrance.
TERRRIBLE EXPERIENCE DO NOT GO HERE. My family and I have been living in the Poconos for over 20 years. We used to frequent the inn, water, and golf course up until today. We brought our small kids for a dip in the river and there were water boards on the shore. My Dad and brother who are disabled US veterans were with us. My Dad sat on a water board only to have an employee from the water sports come over and start yelling to get off the board you're not allowed on them! He was angry and very rude. Terrible customer service to say the least. He ruined our family outing and caused a big stir. He should have said "Excuse me sir, please do not sit on the water board unless you would like to rent them or they are for hotel guests only, etc" Then 2 more employees who acted like sheriffs came over and said one of us threatened their coworker but no one was threatened at all! Very disappointing experience we will never return. Funny thing is we stopped at a Dollar General where other locals expressed their discontent with Shawnee customer service. THERE ARE FAR BETTER PLACES TO GO! Try Skytop or Blue Mountain they are top class.
