Old luxury resort trying to live up to the presence

spent 10 wonderful nights at the rasa and it was possibly the best holiday ive ever been on the staff couldn't do enough for you the food was fantastic. me and my wife celebrated our ruby anniversary and the management served us up a lovely surprise with a lovely cake and a bottle of red wine .marvellous touch .the rooms were lovely and kept very clean and our room cleaner pial did a great job looking after us it was just a superb holiday and I would recommend it to anyone who likes good weather and great comfort mr+mrs w armour

Just wanted to write a quick note about our lovely stay at Rasa sayang.
This was our second stay in Rasa sayang and our last trip was three years ago when I was pregnant with my second.
Coming back again with my family and inlaws (from Australia and France) we initially had some trouble with check in and some other issues.
However duty manager Swee Ting managed to handle all of our complaints and ensured our stay was most pleasant and we felt very well looked after.
After exploring Penang for few more days, we came back to stay at Rasa sayang and was met with the most welcome smile.
Another mention of Lisa and Fernando from Rasa Wing for looking after us.
We will be back again and our boys most enjoyed their stay at Rasa sayang.

This is my family's favorite hotel in the whole of penang. Has great restaurants, great rooms and great services. Also just 30 minutes away from Gurney drive food haven.

One of the best resort in Asia. Service is 5 star with high quality accomodation with classical settings of Malaysia. Staff well trained and consistency from all my visits. A place for families, couples who enjoys relaxation and being pampered.

Make sure to have rasa wing room so you can enjoy this great property

The hotel is one of the best we have stayed at. It felt exclusive and the facilities matched this most of the time. The room were the biggest and the best layed out I have ever stayed in and the food/breakfast was great.Everyone in the hotel was also very helpful and always deal with a smile. I would like to thank you all on the behalf of my family for your kindness and generosity.

Staff are lovely, room was spacious and luxurious. Breakfast was extremely good. Pool was large and sparkling. Nearby town offers Hawker stalls for excellent and very cheap meals as well as bargain massages. :-)

Leisurely and quiet is a good place to let go, the scenery is very beautiful, the room is very friendly, the staff is very friendly and will go again next time.

Exactly as a 5 star hotel is supposed to be. There are 2 wings. I personally found room in garden wing nicer. There is less furniture that makes the room look more spacious (you have more room to move). You can upgrade your room in garden wing for 200 ringit per day giving you all the options of rasa wing. Excellent staff, clean modern rooms, nice swimming pool and good loungers with mattresses on it. The best hotel on Feringghi beach. The minus point is that you cannot swim in the sea because of jellyfish.

An older hotel set in beautiful mature gardens with amazing old rain trees. Grassy area right up to the beach, great food and swimming pools. Would love to see the decor modernised slightly, but a lovely place to stay.

Nice view, great service. Make sure to bring covered shoes for men, so as to dine at ferrangi grill.

This place is as long as I can remember. This is still 6star status in my opinion in terms of size, luxury,design, natural beauty and charm that this place exudes. Still incredibly popular with tourists willing to pay top dollar for this beach resort and spa. This place is packed!

The hotel is very elegant and its location directly on the beach
The hotel has two buildings
The best and most luxurious suites are the Rasa building
The suites are upscale
I lived in a suite called Rasa Premiere
It has a balcony, a bathtub in marble, and a sea view
Also in the hotel there are two swimming pools for each building

There is a very important thing I noticed in the hotel that the staff are very friendly
Iftar is as usual breakfast in East Asia, it is not the same
But the check is worth a try

I had my wedding recently in rasa sayang. We opted for the garden ceremony due to the beautiful backdrop, and the pelangi ballroom for our dinner reception. The staffs was extremely friendly and professional. Special mention to our event coordinator Danny, for doing such an amazing job! He ensured that all our needs were met, and executed the whole wedding reception perfectly :)

Rasa wing, stay includes afternoon tea and evening cocktails. Grounds and pool area excellent as well as breakfasts. WiFi available all through the complex. Room service reasonably priced and good variety.

The room is tidy and spacious. The restaurant staff is polite. The facilities are perfect. The public places are spacious and spacious.

Still the Number #1 hotel/resort on Penang. Enuff said.

Have gala dinner here and the food are very bad, sushi not fresh, prawn taste very unfresh, lamb also bad, the rest okay

Went for the famous buffet. Nice place to dine and chit chat but will get bored of the food after few dines. Maybe need a x duration for next visit

Dinner at Spice Market. Overall have a good experience and wide variety of food selection is available.

Had a chance to redeem my Anantara Vacation Club points for 2 nights stay, and we jumped right on it for our series of staycation around Penang island during this Pandemic. The room, I had to say it was really spacious, luxury and really cozy. The bathroom, I love that it has separate bathtub and shower (really dont like showering in the bathtub lol), the shower was awesome, the water pressure is great and got plenty of hot water for my long shower. The only thing I don't like about the shower is that the shower head is too short, so when I was twisting and turning during shower, my arm and tummy always hitting the handle and turning the water to become too cold or too hot. I wish the shower head can be extended further out. Other than that, our stay here has been very relaxing, the food during breakfasts and dinners were nice and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Hope that we will get a chance to return again some day in the future.

My wife and I visited in 2015 and then again in 2017; the 2015 trip was incredible with attention to detail from all staff. IMO it had gone down hill a little in 2017, with fewer staff, less selection for afternoon tea, slightly more run down facilities etc. It's a good place to go, but i feel for what we paid, 'OK' is probably the fairest rating.

Quiet and beautiful resort, troublesome and complicated entry and exit procedures, the furniture needs renovation, the breakfast buffet is excellent, I recommend it and it is a very excellent choice.

Fantastic resort! Staff are nice, friendly and very accommodating. Chi Spa was very relaxing and worth visiting. Had a great time by the pool just relaxing with a drink. Quiet and relaxing place. Check out the Rasa wing rooms are bigger and comes with a lot of perks. Separate dinning facilities and access to the Horizon Club with afternoon tea.
