Loved this place if you are in Oman and you have not visited here than you have to come again

Stayed here for my other half's birthday and it was one of the best experiences. The hotel were sweet enough to put a 'happy birthday' cake in the room, such a lovely touch. The sunset drinks and music and the afternoon treats that are included just enhance the ambience of the stay. Breakfast food was lovely (slightly annoying that there were kids at breakfast when the hotel was adults only at the time of our stay). The pool and private beach are lovely too although we used the pool most of all. I loved having the option of watching the TV in the room, while having a bath! My other half was taking a nap and I could watch the TV in the bath without the sound in the bedroom itself, a very clever little touch. Staff service was faultless and when we called down for extra drinks to be delivered, they were with us within 5 minutes.

Nice hotel, child friendly. Good service. Few negative points. It is a big hotel.

It was a nice stay during my recent visit. I loved it. The pool time was amazing. The kid's pool is very nice and the private beach is very clean. Watersports - JetSki & Kayaking were amazing. Food was awesome too.

Excellent resort with fantastic service standards. All Covid measures were well followed. Stayed here a few times and will continue to do so in the future. Rooms in Alwaha hotel are getting a little dated and should be updated in the future.

Very wonderful and upscale and I recommend living in it because of its nature, beautiful coastline, staff, etc.

The landscape is phenomenal, so is the interior. The staff is also very friendly.

We have rarely seen such excellent service. The entire area is lovingly designed and very very well maintained. The restaurants across the resort area are very very expensive. If you only booked breakfast, it is difficult to find a restaurant outside. This is only possible with a rental car.

They are trying their best to give good service despite the corona...

Good dining options within the Resort. Spotlessly clean. We love it. I traveled with my wife and 8 year old daughter.

The experience at the Shangri-La was very schizophrenic to say the least we had some great experiences and some bad ones making it an inconsistent experience for us. The great experience: Accomodating and friendly staff, the sound of the waves at night and the fact you can see the stars from the beach, well kept grounds and facilities. The bad: The salon had terrible services for women, they didn't ever have proper hair curlers. I was denied entry to AlHusn by one staff member despite the fact I was meeting someone there for lunch and I was staying at the resort, the beach needed to be cleaned up from when the cyclone hit almost two months ago. You should be able yo see the massive part of the beach covered with alge and seaweed.

These ups and downs make it hard to decide if I want to stay there again. Overall, our experience at the hotel for thr wedding we were attended there was only "acceptable" in my opinion.

Beautiful location very relaxing the service at some of the restaurants can sometimes become perplexing.

Very nice place for weekend family outing. Children can enjoy in their play area and good open area.

The complimentary minibar, tea time, drinks hour, was an amazing extra that blows my mind.
Definitely, this is my best hotel in Oman and the best relax resort.

Suggestion: serve shisha (water bubble) in the drink hour's area after 8PM, going to bandar to get shisha in a closed, AC-ed area was a huge downgrade from Alhussn experience.

Lovely rooms. Super service in general. Swimming pool a bit too shallow (1.2m deep)... Mediocre food (not upto my expectations from a 6-star hotel), also dress code for the restaurant (no shorts) was not communicated to me earlier which caused confusion. However, breathtaking scenery and serenity, and they did prepare a much-appreciated surprise for my anniversary visit.

Please add More vegetarian food ( indian) option.

A beautiful hotel and resort, but far from the city, and is only suitable for those who wanted to get away from the crowds, as well as most of its residents are foreign citizens, the food is very modest, and the service is late in the rooms

A resort for relaxation and meditation. It contains more than one swimming pool. Many coastline and very clean for the sea amateurs.

While the premises offer a lot : many restaurants, large swimming pools, several water and land activities, sunbeds and shadow, the hotel rooms are old and not well maintained. Curtains are torn, carpets is greyed by the time and heavily damaged. Shower is old (but clean).
Staff is very friendly.
But overall not the standard of a ShangriLa.

After a glitch with our arrival, where the car we had requested to collect us from the airport failed to arrive, we enjoyed a wonderful few days at Al Husn. It is a quality resort with many nice touches. For us, it came at the end of a two week holiday where we had spent time in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but Shangri-La Al Husn was the highlight.

The complimentary mini-bar, afternoon tea and cocktails before dinner are all such nice touches. The pool and its surrounds are well maintained and our room was superb. The staff were excellent. I have nearly 50 years in the travel industry so it takes a lot to impress me but you succeeded here.

Our original booking was for Al Husn hotel. However since we didn't read the terms and conditions kids weren't allowed in Al Husn. However they moved us to a nice room in AL Bandar. Nice views. Beach access, resturants, amazing breakfast great spa. Remarkable resort overall

Absolutely stunning place with jaw dropping views... Must see place for anyone visiting Muscat. And don't miss their buffet lunch!

Despite the size, very well maintained, very nice pool area and very good food, even if you only eat in the buffet restaurant. Swimming in the sea is fantastic. However, all three hotels are located in a closed bay, so that you have no connection to the rest of the Omani world. By taxi to Muscat - Mutrah approx. 25 minutes. Highly recommended for a not so long beach holiday.

Overall positive experience. The "lunch and dinner" management let me down because, having chosen half board for practical reasons, if I wanted to have dinner at the self service I had to go to another resort as there is no self service in the Al Husn resort service but only "a la carte" restaurant.

The hotel was too crowded because of the national holiday and the staff was not that friendly.
The pools were not clean.
The hotel is a bit dated.
There were huge queues on the buffets restaurants and the staff was not that organised to reduce the queue. The food plates were empty for longtimes.
There was not any activities or anything to keep people entertained.
I give 3 stars because my kids loved the lazy river and the pools. And also theh loved the horse and the camels.

Went here for an evening meal, may have been the time of year, as not to busy, so great service, great food, nothing to much trouble. Will try to visit again during the day in order to see and experience the beach etc. Visiting here will not disappoint.

The service was fantastic. From the little things like a cool box filled with iced water, little homemade cakes with your coffee and fetching chilled melon pieces round when your sunbathing. The sea is so clear and tiny fishes almost on the shore line. A fantastic out of this world back drop of volcanic mountains, this really is a sucluded paradise. Food very good although on the expensive side. Meal for 2 without starter, desert or drinks on average 25 Rui each. Not cheap but worth the experience

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay in the resort during winter holidays in 2020. It is still my favorite destination in Muscat since it is blessed with stunning mountain landscape, beautiful beach and well crafted resort amenities will make your stay memorable.
As a recommendation it will be better to include more water activities for kids & family which will make it more interesting for recurring visits. Facility maintenance quality has reduced i am assuming it could be due to the pandemic situation where resort was closed for longer duration. Staff is very cordial and friendly hope tourism sector will be recovered quickly and resort will be upgraded with new attractions.

Beautiful resort. The iftar buffet had an unbelievable selection. The Chi Spa is a must. The staff all around the facility is curtious and always looking to pamper you at the right moment. You will not want to leave.

Outstanding place. We went just for the day and the experience was already fantastic. The daily pass includes the access to the beach and pools and yet the lunch at their restaurant. Everything is very well kept, staff is very friendly and available to help and the facilities provide a really escape from reality. Without doubt that we will return and this time to stay for some nights also.
