One of the best experiences I have had in years with my family. I have lived in Cape Town for 4 years and this is the first time I took my family out here! The atmosphere is great, the food is good, they even roast their own coffee there, which is just as exceptional as the wine. All of this brings back a sense of normalcy in these really difficult times. I just wish I knew about obout is before.Thank you!

Great for wine tasting or even enjoying a bottle in the tasting room. The gardens and the landscapes are beautiful and the setting against the mountains stunning. Lourensford is an ever changing canvas that just seems to get better with time.
Great coffee shop, wine, restaurant, market, gardens, art with plenty of parking.

Absolutely incredible place! The roastery had unbelievably delicious coffee and pastries and the wine was top notch, I went with my husband on our 22nd anniversary and we were both treated with the utmost respect and graciousness, my husband and I both recommend it, 10/10

This is the first time I have ever posted a review. I felt compelled to leave a review after the service we received was the worst I have ever experienced. The service was extremely poor and slow. The restaurant was untidy and dirty. The food was average and Items where added to the bill that we didn t have. Management didn t assist and it was visible that a number of tables where complaining.

Gardens stunning as always. Change in vendors not so much.Market seems to have lost its identity along the way. Rest of the place seems a bit neglected...almost like they got bored. Won't be returning any time soon. Especially with the introduction of per car entrance fee

Beautiful sanctuary with great food, great gardens, great Coffee, great wines...
Only drawback, massage therapist wasn't wearing a face shield over and above her mask... Was cringing as she was doing a facial as I could hear her breathing throughout...

Great tasting experience. Unique indoor tasting room seating with a view of the steel tanks. Knowledgeable tasting advisor who guided us through the experience.

Lovely scenery and setting. Lots to do in the estate - a lifestyle shop to browse through, a yoga studio and spa, and a restaurant to enjoy lunch. Well worth spending a day here.
Highly recommend.

Very disappointing wine tasting experience. Came for chocolate and wine pairing, and the waitron didn't provide an explanation of the different wine types, which something you'd expect as mandatory at any wine tasting venue. He's excuse was that he is new and still needs to learn - that's not my concern as a visitor, that's what training is for.. The chocolate wasn't anything special either.. It was literally the same chocolate for all wines with the sprinkled flavour on the top...lThe only thing that's positive to say is that the beautiful location makes up for it. Picture of chocolate attached.

Worst wine tasting experience I had at Lourensford...

Worst wine tasting experience I had at Lourensford so far. Boring selection of tastings available and poor service. Restaurant service was good but the gourmet burger patty was so underdone, a vet could have saved it. The fact that you have to pay for parking at a wine estate is alarming and you should know that it is a tourist trap. They're following the same route as Vergelegen and won't see me again.

The "coffeehouse " is a disgrace.

The "coffeehouse " is a disgrace.
Homemade pie was NOT homemade and the order of other guest was 15 minutes late.
What a letdown for such a prestigious winery

What a disgrace!!!!

What a disgrace!!!!
The 'coffee shop' is not worthy to visit.
Food disgusting cold and service shocking .
I was not interested to taste the wine after this experience.
Service and food was terrible .... and to pay for parking is an insult to injury after this bad experience. !!!!!!!
Never ever had to pay for parking at a wine resort ... you will NEVER EVER see us again.

Lourensford is probably one of the most beautiful farms in the Western Cape. With the mountains surrounding the farm and the well maintained gardens the cellar is a great place for a date or just a day out. There is quite a range of wines all at a very high standard.

Millhouse Restaurant, What a wasted space of potential. Service Managed like a fastfood joint!
A restaurant in a pristine location surrounded by mountains and vineyards.
Everything to be a household name in Somerset West. The food is of good quality the venue is set picturesque yet the service gives off a stench and bad aftertaste.
In my experience here I ordered an appetizer and the party I was with ordered the same meal as it came to the table the servings were oddly sized and disproportionately unevenly plated.
As it was I had mentioned this to the server only be responded by an act of laughter.
We checked our portions and as it was mine was indefinitely less.
When the bill came I made the remark and was not met with an apology duly with a Mcdonald's response of we weigh our portions.
In service, it is important to listen to your client's, apologize and tell them that next time it will be fixed or even just make them happy in the moment. As it turns out I have been in the service industry and run a business that brings people to locations as such and will now recommend people elsewhere.

Wonderful visit to Lourensford. So good to get out and about in the very relaxing and friendly environment. Took a walk around the beautiful gardens and then had a lunch and coffee from the Coffee Roastery. Great to be able to sit outside at their tables and enjoy a delicious lunch. I will go again.

From when you enter, at security to the little shop where you can make your own platter the two restaurants as well as the actual winery, everyone is so wonderful and friendly! Delicious Viognier and cheese platters. Hint: make your own platter from the shop, it is cheaper than ordering one from the restaurant. If you want a proper meal, choose from one of the two restaurants - loads of options, something for everyone. Bring a picnic blanket and sit on the grass outside with a glass of wine and some snacks, such a perfect location for a chilled afternoon with friends.

Adorable location with some very pretty scenery. Wine tasting is great, though not a lot else to do when the market is closed, and all the little shops are very tourist-priced. Shout out to the friendly gate guards who are always interactive with suggestions and news.

We as a family love visiting Lourensford Wine Estate(good food, good beer and great coffee). So much so that we bought the annual pass but is saddens me to say out of all the wine estates we visit your bathrooms are an absolute disgrace, during our past few visits it smelled, filth and toilet paper was on the floor in both men's stalls. My wife even tried a different bathroom near ABRU and it was the same scenario. Can you please look into tidying the bathrooms!

Very beautiful venue. We have been to the weekend markets a few times which are great. I would recommend going to the markets. They have live music. The only problem i have with the place is the ABRU Craft Brewery. It is very over priced and very average. Everson cider stall at the market is amazing.

Very easy to spend a lot of time there. The Roasting Company serves excellent coffee and the gardens offer a lot of different things to do , especially for small children.

They can play in the fountain and on the lawns. There is also a nice play area behind the Millhouse Restaurant with 3 jungle gyms and a jumping castle.

Just be aware that Millhouse takes their last breakfast order at 10:30 am.

Entrance to the estate is free at the moment, but they are busy setting up ticketed booms.

I went to the Twilight Market at the Lourensford Wine Estate and it was very nice. They put a lot of effort in the decorations. Everything was full of light's and it looked very beautiful. There was music playing and nice food available even the small shop were very special. Even the Wine Estate in general is worth it to visit. They have a small garage were they park awesome old timers.

Excellent, very interesting experience. Wine tasting ...selection of 4 different wines up to 9 or 10 from 45 Southwhe African Rand. Toilet facilities. Restaurant and coffee house. Art Gallery with some of Nelson Mandela's personal work on display....truly amazing. Lovely gardens. Perhaps the only downside is no wheelchair for hire or disabled toilets.
