Shade-O-Matic Review

We purchased 20k worth of blinds on this brand for just one house, and now the blinds are starting to fail after 3 years, their plastic parts do not last, watch out when you pulling the blinds up/down, it might just fall onto you one day.

Customer service is useless as usual, whoever is in charge of this company needs to up their quality or there will be a lot of lawsuits coming up once their parts start to break.

I'm not going to buy from this brand again for the next house.

i ORDERED THROUGH A THIRD PARTY, ALL MEASUREMENTS WERE ACCURATE, THEY DELIVERED MY ROMAN SHADE AND ROLLER BLINDS PROPERLY EXCEPT ONE IS MISSING THE VALANCE. THEY WERE NOTIFIED AND REQUESTED A PICTURE. THOUGHT ODD. I ALSO ORDERED SHUTTERS FOR 7 WINDOWS, I RECEIVED 4 WINDOWS WITH THE Z FRAME, 2 OF WHICH ARE WRONG SIZE AND 3 WITH NO FRAME AT ALL. NO INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND NOT ENOUGH HARDWARE. WE MANAGE TO PUT UP THE 2 CORRECT ONES, BUT STILL WAITING ON REPLACEMENTS. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 5 WEEKS. I KNOW THE DEALER I'M USING IS TRYING TO GET THIS SORTED OUT. I'M HAPPY WITH THEM TAKING ALL SHUTTER BACK. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

We are so happy with our blinds. They were needed in our sunroom so we could sit in it comfortably without melting. The sales rep. was so helpful and informative with helping us choose the perfect solution. They arrived quickly and were installed with ease and they look great. I would recommend Shade-o-Matic to our friends and family without hesitation!

I am disappointed in their warranty. We purchased their Tuscany wood shutters 16 years ago and it came with Lifetime warranty. A few of the connectors linking the louver to the wand broke and they told me it can t be repaired because the product is discontinued. So now I am stuck with the louvers dangling because they don t have the parts. They should at least provide alternate parts (or a solution ) and not leave the customer with no option!

Sorry a three month wait for your blinds is unacceptable. They also undercut by 1/2 and inch, don't provide instructions an the quality particularly of the hold downs is poor and cheap looking. Absolutely not worth the money. I regret not just going to Ikea and cutting them to fit my windows myself. I purchased over 3000 worth of blinds from this company and regret it and will never buy anything from them again.

Shadeomatic makes amazing products! I love the honeycomb blinds as well as the eclipse shutters ! They are one of my manufactures for my blinds business and I couldn t be happier with their products and customer service! I see a few negative comments about this company but I've noticed the individuals aren't from Ontario. One should take the time and post on the correct site if this is the situation. I have nothing but great praises for the individuals who helped us here in Brampton.

A few years ago we replaced all the windows in our home. Upon shopping around we settled on this company due to their quality and reasonable price. We choose shutters as our window treatment and have been so pleased with our choice. The product has stood the test of time, with no maintenance required. The shutters on our south facing windows do a great job of blocking the strong sun and still look like new today. The shipment arrived on time, the installation team were meticulous, ensuring all window treatments worked very efficiently. We are extremely satisfied with our experience, continue to recommend this product to our friends and wouldn't hesitate to purchase a Shade-O-Matic product again.

As others have said, very poor quality.

I was not the one that purchased these, but I have the unfortunate burden of living with them in my home.

After not even 6 months of use, a string completely frayed, and split. This is because there's a sharp piece of metal inside the unit, which the strings rub against when pulled up / down. I added some tape against the sharp piece to prevent that from happening again, how hard would that have been for them to do?

Secondly, so many strings, so messily attatched and put together. There's 7 sections that need to be pulled up, yet they only used 4 strings. The theme of doing the absolute bare minimum runs throughout these blinds in every area.

Luckily I did not buy these, but after looking at the insides and seeing how truly shoddy these blinds are I would never recommend them.

Recently bought a house and had quite a few windows fill in. Upon shopping around I have settled on this company as my primary choice due to their quality and reasonable price. Over all I received quality customer service and care and would gladly recommend to my peers and friends. Cheers!

Horrible experience! Poor quality, lengthy delays for delivery and a refusal to refund our money. Not EVER dealing with this company again!

Very poor quality blinds we bought Faux Wood Blinds from them, the strings started falling apart and started giving trouble in lifting up and down after roughly a year, would not recommend their blinds nor will purchase another product with them ever, period!
