Good brunch - I really enjoyed my food, had the crab cake Benedict. It was NOT a crab cake but rather a few clumps of crab on top of eggs. Either way, it was delicious, so I m not complaining, I just don t think they should call it a crab cake. The others in my party all liked their food, grits got a thumbs up - though a couple felt the creole omelette was a bit light on the stuffing. Would definitely recommend overall

Just had an amazing Sunday brunch with my family and the food was incredible. The service was even better and the whole experience was top-notch. We brought our kids and they took care of them as well. They were flexible with our dietary needs and really I m so glad we chose this place.

The grilled items here are delicious! The octopus was fantastic. The service was the only thing that was a little off. They kinda forgot about us in the front but overall, really good food made up for it. The eggplant meze and stuffed grape leaves are yummy starters :

We LOVE Seed and have gone here many times for our special occasions because the food, ambiance and service are always great. Over the weekend, John took care of us and raised the bar on service. His bright smile and attentiveness - on top of knowing exactly what to do, was beyond our expectations. He made our visit much more memorable and pleasant. They need to hang on to this young man!

For starters, the cornbread was delicate, buttery, and mouth watering, especially with the jelly and butter served on the side.
The deviled eggs were luscious in texture and deep in flavor. The smoked salmon came through the jalapeno cream with delightful accents from the pickled onion, but the fried capers were a surprisingly tasty finishing touch.
The Georgia strawberry salad was one of the more unique salads I've had. It was so well balanced in texture, flavor, and appearance. Perfectly ripe strawberries with the honey and yogurt complemented the bite of the watercress and fennel. Loved it.
The caramelized Brussels sprouts and cauliflower also had surprising depth of flavor that was lightly sweet but also tangy, reminiscent of the brightness fish sauce brings to some Asian dishes. Although on the saltier side, this dish packed an umami punch.
Speaking of umami, the main entree we shared was the hickory smoked pork chop. There was a bed of creamy, flavorful pimento cheese polenta and tender braised greens surrounded by rich red wine jus. On top of it all was the well smoked pork chop. The meat was a tad drier than preferred, but the visible smoke ring and well developed flavor made up for it.
After all that, we found room for dessert: tres leches cake. The cake was so soft, moist, and not too sweet. The strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries beside the cake made the whole dessert refreshing and light. Alongside a cup of coffee, it was the perfect way to end the meal.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere!! First restaurant dining experience in a COVID world and was extremely satisfied with the amount of caution, care and cleanliness they put into everything. The smocked chicken tacos and white corn grit fritters starters are a MUST!!! And even when you are full from the perfect entrees you have to get dessert! Tres leches and cheesecake are a couple of our favorites!

Got the Merchant Burger. It was ok. IDK what they did to those fries but they tasted how you'd imagine old fries being microwaved would. They were limp and I'd think they were baked instead of fried if they weren't greasy. I ordered this meal through a delivery app so I considered that the humidity from the plastic tupperware got to them but I could tell they just weren't cooked right either. I've never had fries that bad before. I just refuse to believe those were fried fresh with my order. Restaurants in general should consider poking holes in containers with fried foods or using paper bags.

This is our favorite restaurant in East Cobb! All of the restaurants in the group are fantastic but the food and experience se Seed is incredible. You have to try the pork chop, it's like eating a giant piece of smoked bacon!

Buckhead has finally come to East Cobb. This is the best restaurant in this area. My husband and I have become regulars and enjoy sitting at the bar with service from Chris and David. There is attention to every detail from food to drinks to service. Love this place!

The appetizers were good, Calamari and Shrimp. The
cocktails were great, had the mules on draft. The entrees are where it went downhill. There were four of us in the party. The Salmon was edible, but the rest.....Scallops, Cod dishes were so salty. Really should have sent them back. The brussel sprouts & cauliflower, sauteed spinach....all extremely salty. Not sure how they have such great reviews. I suggest going there for cocktails and apps.

Would have been 3 stars but wife ordered eggs over easy on top of her brisket hash. They came out over well. We mentioned to server. He came back 15 min later with over easy eggs. Food was cold by time eggs came back. No apologies or anything from staff. Our bill was 60 dollars for 2 entrees and 1 mimosa and 1 lemonade. Seems kind of high for portion and quality of food we got. Will probably try again 1 day but not for awhile.

This food is outstanding, period. The decor is modern and elegant. First of all, let's get one thing straight, this isn't a "fill your gut" experience. This is a quality over quantity kind of establishment and has smaller portions then one may be used to. I'll be honest, most quality over quantity restaurants I've been to are highly disappointing and not worth the money. However, this place kicks a goooooooooooooooal! To start, I devoured their smoked chicken tacos. I was completely caught off guard at how delectable these bad boys were. For my entree, the seasonal short ribs are on the menu right now and you have to get them. People, listen to me, risk the speeding ticket and get here as fast as you can to get the short ribs. It's illegal at how delicious they are. For my seating arrangement, I chose to sit at the bar. The bartenders are excellent mixologists, friendly, and KNOW the menu. Absorb this, the short ribs have only been on the menu a few days and the bartenders are aware of the change and provide recommendations accordingly. I finished off the night with a chocolate chunk skillet cookie dessert and the skillet is definitely hot and the cookie was definitely delicious. Just go here, expect smaller portions, and give your tongue the orgasm it deserves.

Snooty (for Marietta) Hostess and very basic soy beef (shortribs) with an over-rich plum sauce to try to fancy it up. I remember Seed from a few years ago being much more "neighbor like" and serving better food. The experience made me crave buying a fresh pork tenderloin from Publix, some fresh spinach, and cooking a better meal at a fraction of the price. (and I'm an average cook). The nice Server (Kristin) and glass of wine were a plus though.

My favorite neighborhood restaurant. A wonderful balance of amazing food, with a casual but upscale atmosphere and when weather permits outdoor seating. What brings us back is that and top drawer service. Highest marks.

The food was absolutely delicious. Try the roasted brussel sprouts and cauliflower side dish. It's divine, so much so that I keep trying to recreate it at home, but it's not nearly as good. I'll just keep heading back to Seed for more! The ambience is also really happy and relaxing, but not too posh. A great find!

If you are in a good mood, and have wonderful dinn...

If you are in a good mood, and have wonderful dinner companions around you, and if you are celebrating the good life and happiness, THEN, go to Seed.
You will be treated to professional waitstaff who know how to be the "Best supporting actors" for your lovely evening (and they won't try to steal the show and they won't try to act like they're doing you a favor for being there.)
You WILL be treated to amazing food that is local, seasonal and at the peak of its yumminess. Food that has been lovingly selected and prepared in a way that highlights the goodness of the food and highlights the caring, the decency and top notch skills of the chefs.
The space is lovely, and the people are too.
So, look at the whole menu, and work with your wait staff to design your dining experience. Today we started with some classic cocktails, moved on to appetizers that included a mouth watering mix of fois gras and scallops, then we were blown away by our main courses (that were paired well with our wines) Then sublime desert and coffee followed.
All in all, a perfect evening.
So, if you want a perfect evening of your own, go to Seed, and take only your best friends.

We have had dinner at Seed Kitchen & Bar and tonight was very disappointing. Our table was not ready upon arrival and had to wait 15-20 minutes while having a reservation. Once seated the waiter didn't come over for quite a bit also and seemed pretty unhappy. Also, upon seeing my wine glass was empty our server didn't ask me if I wanted another.

Tonight, Seed left a lot tk be desired and don't plan on returning soon.

Love the atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and the patio space is perfect. Saw the waiter change his gloves several times and the doors being wiped frequently. I definitely felt more comfortable. The only downfall is the flavors of the foods. Not very flavorful. Does not tantalize my taste buds. I'd they can perfect the food it will be be 5 stars.

I am not certain this establishment is accustomed to serving people of color. My husband and I were made uncomfortable due to microsgression behaviors. As we entered, instead of being greeted - asking the number of guests in our party, we were asked "what can I help you with?" as if they offered something outside of restaurant + food. We were actually getting ready to leave our table until our Bulgarian server approached our table with such excitement. Rado, thank you for the great service and pleasant conversation. When we paid for our meals and began to head out, a server from another table flipped open our receipt book to make sure we paid. How insulting. Needless to say, we won't be back. Rado did an amazing job, but it isn't worth the discomfort of his teammates and not knowing any better.

Expensive menu and extremely snobby service for residents of Marietta.

Don't expect to be treated by a warm, welcoming staff. Also, be careful at night. Lock your doors. Great place for concealed carry permit holders.

They are located on the end of Merchants Walk Mini Mall next to a dark area which is a perfect place to get mugged.

The restaurant has no plans of add any lighting to that area to increase the feeling of safety for it's customer's.

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. If you call ahead, they even print out menus with your name on them to dedicate special occasions. The adjacent wine bar and custom cocktails are worth returning for.

One of the East Cobb places to eat. Food is fresh and delicious. Menu is seasonal and lots of healthy choices. Great service and you should get reservations. Fantastic for lunch or a great night out. They are part of Uber eats and we sometimes even order it at home.

Nice setting and environment. Clint (I think was his name) was a great server! Made the experience even better. The food was delicious. Loved the cornbread. It was a great appetizer. We were able to order brunch which was really good. Shrimp and grits were yummy. Crab Cake Benedict was well flavored too. The hollandaise was absolutely wonderful! Nice portions - we weren't able to order dessert because we were too full! Will be back for dinner menu hopefully soon.

Wonderful menu, from burger, stesk. And fish. I had the salmom, excellent with leeks mushrooms and creamed romaine.
Cod was delicious also. Don't be deceived from outside appearance of being closed as we had been for months. Looks dark from outside. White furnishings and. Butcher block tables. Lunch and dinner menu.
Lunch stops at 3. They stay open. Not closing for dinner. Offer birthday cake slice for birthday person. Even put happy birthday in chocolate with csndle. Will definitely go back

Amazing gem of a restaurant in East Cobb. Great service, amazing menu, and very cool and unique cocktails. Our first visit was for a wedding anniversary a few years ago, which we let them know about when we made our reservation, and they took great care of us to make the night perfect (including a personalize menu acknowledging our anniversary). We go out of our way to eat here whenever we can (and, fortunately, the restaurant is not out of our way at all). This place can hold its own against any of the high end restaurants inside the perimeter, so if you want a great dining experience outside the perimeter, do not hesitate to try this place out!

I was hoping our first Valentine's dinner together...

I was hoping our first Valentine's dinner together would be memorable, and unfortunately it was. I made reservations at Seed Kitchen & Bar a week in advance through OpenTable (making sure to add in "it's our first Valentine's together" in the notes) & I chose the Sunday before (2/12/17) hoping we'd have a relaxed staff.

We had no problem making reservations & someone from Seed called the Friday before to confirm our reservation. We also made sure to read the restaurant's website menu & several Yelp reviews to get excited for our experience. We had high expectations as most reviewers & articles we read had very good things to say about Seed.

Seed is tucked away in the corner of a shopping center & parking was no hassle. We walked in a few minutes early for our reservation. We waited at the hostess stand & when she finally showed up, the hostess was not welcoming. She had no greeting for us. I said, "Hello, we have a reservation", then we were seated beside the door although there were plenty of open seats in secluded areas. She didn't ask for extra information. The traffic coming in & out was loud, there was no privacy. Our waiter was very kind so we asked to move. We were ultimately moved to a table directly behind the bar pick up area & in front of the entrance to the restroom. Not wanting to be more of a hassle, we decided not to complain. Well, we didn't have a chance because we were not asked if the table was okay. I watched every person come in & out of the bathroom & he saw every server pick up drink orders. It was very distracting.
Our wait staff was excellent. The first waiter was very nice. He moved our table without any attitude. I think his name was David & he was very informative. The second waiter was also very helpful.

Overall, I usually don't write bad reviews (& it pains me writing this) but this was a huge disappointment especially when other reviews are considered. We ended up making the best of the situation, however we won't be returning or suggesting this restaurant to other people.

Food:
White Corn Grit Fritters: We didn't think they were that special.
House White wine: our waiter didn't know the name only that it was "Australian"
Georges Bank Sea Scallops with butternut squash-parmesan risotto, apple & pancetta: Overall very good
Bay of Fundy Salmon with garlic mashed potatoes, melted leeks & truffle vinaigrette: Over fried Salmon in my BF's opinion. I liked everything.

We had reservations for diner at 7:00 PM on a Saturday night. Since it is in a shopping center it had FREE PARKING. We were seated promptly even though the restaurant was full with people waiting. Nice modern decor with a fair amount of noise. PS They have a separate room with a large bar where they will also serve food and it is much quieter and relaxed.

The waiter appeared quickly and poured our water and offered us cocktails. He offered to tell us about the specials, but then realized we were in conversation and offered to come back, good move!

After visiting with our friends, we studied the menu and when the waiter came back, we had plenty of questions. He was knowledgeable and polite and answered all of our questions. My wife and I split the Ga Peach & Arugula salad and it was really tasty. Three of our party ordered the fish special and the fourth had.... can't remember. Should have written this review the same night....sorry.
