About Security innovation network (sinet)
We are an extraordinary community of senior level Cybersecurity professionals who gather to identify and advance disruptive innovations from entrepreneurial companies.
Security Innovation Network (SINET) is a community of senior-level cybersecurity professionals who come together to identify and advance disruptive innovations from entrepreneurial companies. SINET's mission is to promote collaboration between the government, industry, and academia in order to improve the security posture of our nation's critical infrastructure.
SINET was founded in 2008 by Robert Rodriguez, a former Secret Service agent who recognized the need for a platform that would bring together cybersecurity experts from different sectors. Since then, SINET has grown into a global network with members from around the world.
One of SINET's key initiatives is its annual Innovation Summit. This event brings together entrepreneurs, investors, and government officials to showcase innovative cybersecurity solutions and discuss emerging threats. The summit also provides an opportunity for startups to connect with potential customers and partners.
In addition to its flagship event, SINET offers a range of programs designed to support early-stage cybersecurity companies. These include:
- The Cybersecurity Accelerator: A six-month program that provides startups with mentorship, training, and access to funding opportunities.
- The Cybersecurity Catalyst Program: A matchmaking service that connects startups with potential customers in the government or private sector.
- The Cybersecurity Executive Roundtables: Small-group discussions led by industry experts on topics such as threat intelligence sharing and supply chain security.
SINET also publishes regular reports on emerging trends in cybersecurity. These reports are based on input from its members as well as research conducted by its staff.
Overall, SINET plays an important role in advancing innovation in the field of cybersecurity. Its community-driven approach helps ensure that new technologies are developed with input from those who will ultimately use them. By bringing together stakeholders from different sectors, SINET helps foster collaboration and information sharing that can lead to more effective solutions for protecting our critical infrastructure against cyber threats.
