Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee Review

A local title 1 school (all the way in NC) was given boxes of emergency food from this food bank--1 box per student right at Thanksgiving during the pandemic, each box provided nearly a week of nonperishable food. This organization is a legit blessing for those in need. Please consider donating either your money or your time, to this nonprofit.

This is a decent location to hold meetings in the facility conference rooms. The supplied food is somewhat scant, but tasty.

A great place to volunteer if you have just a few spare hours, and a great place to get a food box for your family.

WOW!!! This non profit is run so efficiently that it can almost completely sustain itself on it's own. I did the culinary class with Mark Rubin and we had an awesome experience. He took us on a tour of the facility afterwards and it was inspiring.

I have had to use there services recently and it was exemplary made to feel well like we deserved the help not like we were trash that didn't deserve it

I did some volunteer work here. People were good to deal with and this is an excellent cause for sure.

Brought a friend over to the one in East Nashville .. I realize you guys do a lot of good but your customer service and how you treat people is not very good. Do not realize that people aren t really feeling good about them selves for many reasons and then I am sure some don t like asking for help and when they finally do they do not need some nasty lady treating them badly or talking down to them. Word of advice
ITS NOT WHAT YOU SAY IS HOW YOU SAY IT !!!!!shame on that lady !! She needs to stay at home or go work somewhere else and if you are a volunteer then more shame to you !!!

They are out there delivering food boxes to families in this time of need. So many people have lost their jobs, and in this unprecedented time, all I can say is Wow!! Thank you for all that you do!!

Im at a one gen people wait for hours only to watch volunteers get first pick and most quanity.

They feed a lot of people, help them with donations.

Lunches are excellent and the mission is noble. Can't go wrong.

Had a great experience with a group of coworkers. We sorted food in cold storage. I really appreciated the recap at the end - it was great to see that just a couple hours can make a difference, especially at a place that needs volunteers to thrive.

Great place to volunteer. The coordinator here is excellent.

Volunteering here left me amazed. I loved learning how a few hours of my time contributes to so many families.

I just learned this is a food pantry which limits individuals to 3 visits in 6 months.
I am not sure how effective that is to feeding the hungry.
Nashville really needs a service that can offer the hungry more than 3 boxes every 6 months.

Such a fine group of people, we love coming there each week. Never left without a smile and wish for a BLESSED week. Such encouragement! THANK YOU SECOND HARVEST .

Great organization doing great work. 1 in 7 Tennesseans are food insecure. Second harvest is fighting this by rallying volunteers to sort and pack food for individuals with needs.

The place I actually went to was the distribution wearhouse. They are wonderful people there and very helpful. They work very hard to make sure all the food is going out to trucks and out into the hands of people that need it.

This was an amazing experience! It felt so good to help out. There is a job for everyone, even kids, so you can make it an activity for families and friends.

Had a 9am appointment to unload some stuff from my truck very slow to unload. Want you to respect their appointment but they have no respect for other appointments that are on your truck. I will be refusing to deliver at this place in the future.

Went as a company event and helped sort donated food from grocery chains. It was well organized and could support our group of 50+ people.

Great lunches on Wed and Friday but I hear that is coming to an end the first week of December.

Have volunteered a couple of times for this great service company, which seeks to feed those who lack means to always have a good meal.

These people are making the world better one good package at a time!
