Bama Dining's slogan should be "If there's a cheaper option, we'll take it" as they have continually disappointed with the lack of quality dining options on campus. After closing Bryant Hall last summer, there is no place on campus to get quality food to eat with a meal plan.

Lakeside started out okay but has declined to the point that it used to be, Fresh Foods is not 'fresh' with a majority of the options being fried or overcooked. Burke is okay except for the fact that it is 10 minutes away from the quad and a 30 minute walk from the majority of on-campus housing.

Bama Dining has claimed to be interested in hearing ideas for improvement but there has been absolutely no improvement during my time at the University. When comparing the food options and quality of Alabama with other, similarly-sized universities, it is disgusting what they serve to students on a daily basis.

Aramark has many different levels of quality a university can buy for their on-campus dining service, and unfortunately, Alabama has elected for one of the, if not the, cheapest food service package available.

The Lakeside Dining Hall was way better before. It had more natural lighting and was more spacious. The layout now is just goofy. You have to walk around a large island of stations and stand in long lines just to fill your plate. Even more distressing, will it ever be possible to have healthy, reasonably priced food in the Ferguson Center? All I'm seeing is about every variety of the famous American oil+sugar+salt combo...or 10.00 sushi......
