Seattle Humane was GREAT! One of the managers, Mel, helped me find my perfect pup. I'm currently unemployed, working on getting disability, and was in need of an ESA. Mel found a donor, bringing the adoption fee down to what I could afford. All around, absolutely great experience with them. The whole staff team helped make sure I got my perfect pup.
So, this is Sol, the best pupper in the world and my furry best friend whose in my life thanks to Seattle Humane!

We adopted our cat Vienna from here 3 months ago. Seattle Humane made it so easy to adopt a pet, and they gave us starter supplies to care for her as well as some toys she loves! We were also so happy it was more affordable then other adoption sites, since we did not want to pay $400+ for a cat. 10/10 would adopt from here again :)

My husband and I had a great experience with the adoption of our new family member Ali (formerly known as/adopted as "Marie") who was a 3 month old kitten, at the time of adoption, from Kauai.

As a COVID protocol adoption, we were sure what to expect adopting "sight unseen". The Adoption team (Christie) did a great job speaking with us over the phone to ensure we had as full as possible understanding of her history, health, and personality. When it was over we felt much more comfortable than we expected when we went to pick her up the next day.

The pickup was very smooth, and the Seattle Humane Society sent us home with everything we needed (including food and medication) to get the kitten settled at our home.

The Seattle Humane Society was very good about checking in at regular intervals to see how she was integrating into our home and with our older cat.

Three months later Ali is bringing so much Aloha to our lives!

My experience with Seattle humane was extremely positive. I applied for a dog and received a call the next morning to meet him. I was able to adopt him that that afternoon. The employees there are very kind and responsive. I was given all the information and resources I needed to properly care for my new pet.

I adopted a cat who was a part of their Home Free program due to lack of socialization, and they went out of their way to make sure everything was working well for me and for the cat. They allowed me to foster her before committing to the adoption, and they provided a lot of helpful information and advice for acclimating an under-socialized cat to a new household, which really set us up for success together.

We adopted 4 barn cats from Seattle Humane. It has been an incredible experience all around. The volunteers were amazingly responsive via email, quick to locate, and deliver the kitties to our property, and helpful in getting them settled in. We are thrilled to see them have a new chance at life and are having fun getting to know their unique personalities.

I adopted my dog, Zooey from Seattle Humane in February of 2020. He was taken in from another shelter, he had been abused and had a healed previous leg fracture. Seattle Humane provided as much detail and education about him as they could to make sure he was going to a home that could give him the confidence and love that he needed to thrive. He is just the sweetest and happiest boy. I also recently adopted a kitten to be a companion for my cat who recently lost her very old best buddy. He is a joy. He was also a transfer from another shelter overwhelmed with pets. They do amazing work!
