Simply outstanding all the way around! We've had many photo sessions over the years with other photographers and honestly resorted to the timer on our cellphones for family photos because the experiences were not worth the time, money and effort. Stephanie has made us love taking photos again! She brings out the best of our REAL selves - not fake or cheesy or more importantly, she relies on natural lighting, angles and relaxed candid moments, not posed artificial photoshopping to make you something you are not.

Her creativity is unsurpassed and she makes it a low stress event that flies by. Several of my friends on the East Coast have hired her to fly across the country just to photograph their weddings and they have been over the moon with their experiences. If you are wondering who your wedding photographer should be, look no further. Stephanie is absolutely amazing. Not only is she a fabulous photographer, she is a genuinely kind person! She met with us before the wedding and has been very quick to reply via email with questions and concerns. During our entire wedding planning process, she was there to offer help and advice- she is very experienced in the wedding business!
On our wedding day, she helped us stay on time and made our photos very easy and comfortable. Our families were very impressed with the organization of the our group photos. During our first look and couples photos, she took us all over the venue to get different backgrounds and scenery. Our couples photos look like we took pictures in several different locations even through we never left the venue!
After the wedding, Stephanie sent us many more photos than we expected. All of them came out amazing! Also, if you can wait a couple extra days, you should ask to have your photos sent to you on a flashdrive...trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Stephanie is awesome! Stephanie has done photos of our twin girls, she came to our house when life was pretty chaotic, but she rolled with it and got some amazing pictures of our daughters at only 2 weeks old. We recently went to her studio for family photos and once again she did an amazing job. She is easy-going, fun, and very easy to communicate with via email for scheduling, etc. She also edits and sends photos along quickly and makes sure we are happy with the images before giving us all of the high resolution photos! We have been working with Stephanie for a few years now and we can't be more thrilled with her work. She has an eye to capture magic and it's so exciting to see. I was planning my wedding in Washington from California. I searched and searched for a photographer who had affordable prices as well as a great eye for pictures. And I found that with Stephanie at Seattle Flashing Lights Photography! I was able to email and talk with her a few times so she knew what I was looking for. She even made time to take some engagement shots (included in our package) of us 3 days before the wedding at beautiful Lincoln Park. My husband and I were so happy to meet Stephanie before the wedding, and with our quick photo shoot that Wednesday we knew we made the right choice. Stephanie made us feel so comfortable and at ease, which is hard to do with my husband who hates his picture taken. Stephanie is fun and energetic and makes picture take fun, and in turn that makes all you picture beautiful.

On our wedding day Stephanie and her assistant showed up early and went though and took pictures of everything. All the shots I wanted were taken, all of them. Some I didn t even know I wanted were taken and I couldn t be more pleased! She was able to capture my wedding day so beautifully! She was even kind enough to not take pictures of people shoveling in the amazing food in their mouths but she would have if we wanted her to.

Stephanie made my day better by being there and even helping on some of the random questions. Like where do I sigh on this marriage license?

All in all I want to say if you want beautiful pictures no matter the event choose Seattle Flashing Lights! I am partial to Stephanie, and I can tell you next time we find ourselves planning a trip to Seattle, we will be calling Seattle Flashing Lights to take some more memorable pictures of us!

Stephanie was seriously one of the highlights of our wedding day and the entire process of planning the wedding. The pictures are absolutely amazing and she understood and captured our vibe and spirit perfectly. She was patient and thoughtful and it felt like working with a friend who happens to be a super-talented photographer. On top of everything else, she was helpful in running the wedding day since she kept us on schedule. It was such a delight to work with Stephanie and the only thing I don't like is that the wedding is over and I don't get to hang out with her anymore!

Giving Stephanie at Seattle Flashing Lights Photography a big 5 STAR. Stephanie did a last minute photoshoot for me and my kiddo. My kid does not like to smile and is extremely camera shy. We needed these photos for an event and Stephanie did her magic! She worked with my kid and made her look like a natural. We had so much fun and the photos turned out amazing!

Doug and Stephanie of Flashing Lights Photography photographed our daughters destination wedding and we could not have been more pleased. They were so easy to work with and made everyone feel very comfortable. The photos turned out beautifully and they captured so many special moments that don't always get on film. They had unique ideas for different pictures, props, placements and just everything. We have seen numerous wedding photos and felt we got the best!! We have viewed photos from other shoots they have done and feel they are well versed in whatever the need is and would definitely hire them for any of our future photo needs as well as recommend them for anyone wanting special moments to be captured at their best!!

Stephanie was a perfect fit for our wedding (and our engagement shoot), working with us to coordinate and personalize at every step of the way.

We wanted a photographer who wouldn't be interested in the "cheese ball" shots and would best capture our personalities (we're weird enough when we aren't awkwardly posed). She worked well with a variety of crazy, loud, weird people to make our day look as magical as it felt.

There is a small fee for paying with a credit card, so I do recommend having the cash funds available when you can.

We have had amazing experiences with Stephanie! She originally did our engagement photos which quickly turned into our destination wedding photos. Stephanie is flexible is scheduling, takes AWESOME photos, works well with large family groups, pets, and newborns. Honestly, we keep coming back because she is so patient with our less than well behaved pup. He has crazy energy and somehow she manages to get quality photos of him. I also hired Stephanie for maternity photos, which were equally awesome and then newborn. Not surprising, she is also patient and works well with newborns. Looking forward to continuing to work with her as our family grows! Can't recommend her enough!!!

This is a late review. My husband and I had maternity photos done in Oct 2015. We drove from Puyallup wa to Seattle to meet a girl named Savannah that took our pictures and we were very disappointed in them. The pictures were nothing special with no creativity. She also kept trying to have me sit crisscross on the ground after I explained it was too hard for me to get into that position being almost 9 months pregnant and swollen. We were very rushed with her and it was over all a crappy experience and felt our money was wasted. My husband took pictures of me after the photo shoot by ourselves and and they turned out great. I suggested a few poses to her but she had excuses why they wouldn't work. I see all of these great reviews about Stephanie, it's too bad we were sent someone inexperienced.

Stephanie is an amazing photographer and human being! She was one of the first vendors we booked for our wedding and she made me feel so much better about planning such a big event. Her list of recommended vendors for things like hair and make-up were great and I used many of them. Most importantly her pictures were amazing!!! At one point while taking pictures before the ceremony she suddenly yelled STOP and we pulled the car over in the middle of the road to take the most amazing photo of me an my husband through some lavender on the road median. She really is an artist and does magical things with her camera. She is amazing and you will love working with her.

Stephanie is such an amazing and talented photographer! She was the photographer for our good friends' wedding, which is how we even knew about her. My (now) husband and I decided to do a small intimate wedding in a park with our families. We had wanted to keep it low key, but last minute we decided to reach out to Stephanie and see if there was any chance that she could work at our wedding. With less than one week's notice, Stephanie graciously rearranged her schedule in order to accommodate our wedding date and time. Stephanie was invisible throughout the ceremony- I never noticed her at all, yet I have all of these amazing pictures that she took of our ceremony. During the shoot after our wedding, Stephanie made everyone feel at ease and helped make poses feel natural. She has such a detailed eye for how the lighting and scenery will compliment her subjects! Stephanie is also extremely invested in her job and will even crouch in foliage to get a better shot! (which she did for us without us even asking) Everyone who has seen our wedding pictures has raved about them! My husband and I are obsessed with the pictures she took! Honestly, the best decision my husband and I made regarding our wedding was to hire Stephanie!!!

Seattle Flashing Lights Photography is excellent, you will not be disappointed! Recently, Stephanie visited my massage practice to photograph the office, the storefront and myself. I really wanted the pictures to show the essence of the place; friendly, restful, quiet, comforting are a few adjectives that come to mind. She did an extraordinary job of conveying those peaceful feelings in her photographs. I LOVE the work she did and am so proud to be able to use them in my new website design. I can t say enough great things about Stephanie s ability to get smiles out of 10 family members ranging in age from 2-70! She is incredible in her ability at putting people at cease while simultaneously snapping both candid and more formal photos. We are so grateful she captured our family at an important family milestones, a 70th birthday and the first time our international family is in one place!

I'll start with our engagement photos. Awesome fun and calm person to run around Gas Works park with -- we didn't have a great idea of what we wanted, so she came up with a lot of fun and creative photos that were also really beautiful.

I was especially blown away at our wedding. First of all, our photos were AMAZING. She took SO MANY photos, of every guest and so many little details that I am so glad she took the time to capture, and worked with a lot of difficult lighting conditions.

Also, she really went above and beyond her job description. She helped me get into my wedding dress when my sister was having trouble figuring out the lacing (that lacing was complicated, and Stephanie has done so many weddings that she was totally knowledgable and willing to pitch in at that critical moment :-) ). She was an advocate for us when certain other wedding vendors were being troublesome, helping our vision come through the chaos. And, she helpfully suggested that we set aside some time for some couples' photos outside when other photo plans fell through due to random chaos. Those photos are my favorite photos from the whole day and I am so glad that she made sure that we had those. My husband was starving at that point, so Morgen, her also very awesome assistant, even brought him some food to help us out, which was very appreciated.

In short: Stephanie and Morgen were absolutely amazing and dedicated to making sure that we had the best day in every way possible. I am so forever grateful that Seattle Flashing Lights was there on our wedding day.

This is a review of engagement and wedding photos done by Stephanie, owner of Seattle Flashing Lights photography.

We had an amazing experience with Stephanie. From initial contact to saying goodbye at the end of our wedding. We can't say enough good things. The initial coordination for an engagement session (included free with booking our wedding) was a breeze. She was flexible about locations and easy to communicate with. We went to Gas Works park and wanted our dog included in them. Unfortunately, we forgot to bring dog treats. She handled this in stride, managed to keep our pup engaged and on point and we got tons of awesome photos. She delivered them quickly and as promised.

Planning for a wedding is very complicated. There are lot of people to organize and things to follow-up on. One of the best things you can hope for is having vendors and people involved who are on the ball, easy to communicate with, and do what they say they will. Stephanie was all of these and more. Not only was she available to meet with us ahead of time, but she also helped walk us through a lot of our ceremony and reception specifics with her knowledge of wedding logistics and helped us a lot with general planning. She was thorough about acquiring and talking through a complete shot list so we didn't miss anything. She was easy to get in touch with and always answered questions quickly and thoughtfully.

On the big day the standard of awesomeness she built continued. We did a first-look which she coordinately beautifully. And she actually had a second photographer to help capture even more shots - totally free, nothing required on our end. Our family and wedding party photos went smoothly and efficiently. Again, she managed our pup and a 2 year old flower girl like a pro. She took opportunities to get unplanned shots that were really creative. During the ceremony and reception she was everywhere and nowhere. I remember glimpses of her all over the place, catching every moment, but she completely blended in and was never distracting or in the way or interrupting. She talked to us about shots she wanted to try and whether we were interested too giving us a chance to weigh in. She corralled people when needed to get as many of our desired combinations as possible.

We can't say enough good things. This was one thing we were really careful about because photos can't be done again. These will be our memories that last years and years. As I'm writing this we've only had a handful of teasers (full set of photos are due in a few weeks) but from what we've seen we know they'll be amazing. She met and then exceeded our expectations and we are so glad to have met Stephanie. She's a fantastic photographer and better person. She loves her job and it shows. This is the kind of person you want involved in special moments of your life to help capture their significance.

I can t recommend Stephanie and Seattle Flashing Lights enough we had the best photography experience possible for our wedding! Stephanie was amazing from the beginning of the process until the end of the wedding and beyond. Stephanie was so great to meet with several times before the wedding, to answer all our questions and help us plan the shot list. At the wedding Stephanie did an amazing job capturing all the group pictures we wanted while keeping us on schedule and corralling the wedding party and family. She also did a fantastic job capturing both the ceremony and the reception. The candid shots from the reception are absolutely wonderful and I love the way Stephanie captured all the joy in the room! Final photos were delivered on time and were beautifully finished. I would absolutely hire Stephanie again and would trust her to capture any important life events!

Seattle Flashing Lights went above and beyond in a photo shoot I did with Stephanie recently. She was the perfect combination of friendly and professional during the shoot, with tons of ideas to make our pictures come out beautifully. I thought, how in the world are we going to spend that much time taking pictures? But the time just flew by and we had a great time. I was completely impressed by her turnaround time. She had a couple of "teaser" pictures in just a couple of days and an entire set of edited pictures just a short time later. From what I know about the photography world, sometimes that can take months. But we got amazing work product back right away and were thrilled. They are really talented and reasonably priced as well, so snatch them up while you can. I cannot recommend them enough!

Update for 2015: Stephanie did an amazing family shoot for us, the pictures turned out beautiful. All our 8 month old wanted to do was eat leaves and got cranky fast, but Stephanie was able to distract her and keep her happy to get the right shots. Stephanie also has an amazing eye for setting and lighting. Every so often I would say, "what about this" or "could we do that" which she kindly obliged, but after seeing the results, I know I can skip that next time, everything she set up and could see (which I could not) turned out amazing. Stephanie is also very professional and so easy to work with, we highly recommend Seattle Flashing Lights!

The reason I am giving flashing lights photography a 5 star review is because I have been working with them since I was 3, they are incredibly kind, and they take gorgeous photos of your family. They always somehow find a way to make family photos very enjoyable and fun.

We had the best experience with Stephanie! We are getting married out of state but really wanted some engagement photos and some pictures with our dogs who cannot make it to the wedding. Stephanie responded quickly, made scheduling super easy and was happy to meet us wherever we needed to be. She worked really well with our animals. She was able to make one location look like four different places. We are so happy with our photos and would highly recommend her!

We have had Seattle Flashing Lights (Stephanie) do our engagement, maternity and new born pictures and Stephanie always captures awesome moments that our growing family will cherish. She is very professional and efficient with her time - she's able to seemingly pull ideas out of thin air that end up being some of our favorites! Seattle Lights Photography provides clients with reasonably low prices with HIGH quality services. Other private photographers charge you an arm and a leg just to take family pictures :) and store department studios rip you off with all the printing fees. Thus, I am glad we found Stephanie to take our family pictures, which included our dog. We scheduled on a Spring day, but unfortunately it turned out to be a cold and windy day, so I was worried that our pictures wouldn't come out too good. I was wrong! The pictures turned out beautiful and we received many comments from family and friends. Stephanie was also great to work with and was very professional. I am please to say that I booked another photo session for my daughter's birthday photo shoot/Summer family photo shoot.

"Excellent" is nearly descriptive enough for Stephanie Skeffington and Seattle Flashing Lights! From the first moment, I knew I was making the right choice. Stephanie offered us an amazing price for engagement photos, a destination wedding in Maui, AND a Seattle reception. She is so amazing, friendly, fun, and professional, you just can't help but like her immediately! My husband does not like taking photos, and yet Stephanie was able to make him comfortable and has been able to take the best photos of him I have ever seen. Our engagement photos were beautiful! Then came time for the Maui wedding. Stephanie's communication surpasses anything you could hope for. She is quick and responsive, by phone or by email. She really helped me think about what I wanted for the wedding. Having her with us in Maui was like having another one of our friends at the wedding. And oh my god the photos! I CANNOT stop looking at them, and we've never looked so good. She really captured what was the most beautiful and amazing day of my life, and the fact that the pictures reflect that so perfectly is priceless. I love that they aren't super posey, just natural and beautiful. The other great thing is that Stephanie puts teasers on facebook nearly right away, which is awesome when you're an impatient girl like me! I had so many comments on how amazing the photos are, and being that we had such a small group with us in Maui, it was wonderful to be able to share some photos before we even returned to the mainland. She was very fast with the rest of the photos and getting us our log in for her website so we could look at the proofs, request edits, and offer friends and family the chance to make purchases. Once I approved them, she sent us the pictures on a jump drive, ours to do whatever we want with them. I have been so, so happy with Stephanie as our photographer. And we still have our Seattle reception to look forward to! I really can't recommend Seattle Flashing Lights enough. You're crazy if you choose anyone else.

When I decided I wanted to surprise-propose to my girlfriend during what she thought was a couples photoshoot in one of her favorites cities, away from our home in Alaska, I knew I d have to find the right photographer. I didn t know a soul in Seattle, so I relied on the internet. Stephanie responded very quickly. She was taken with my vision, her rates fit my millennial budget, and we got so much more than I could have hoped for. I relied heavily on her location expertise, and I m so glad I did, because I would have never known about the beach dock she took us to. I appreciated her willingness to go the extra mile, even having a code word for the coming proposal surprise, and being patient/instructional with us as stiff photo subjects. Stephanie s hilarious and genuine personality really helped with that, and she confidently led the session, which took any burden off of us. The photos were beautiful. She turned moments into keepsakes, and that shows real skill. The process of booking, deposit, payment, and receiving the products was clear and easy. Strongly recommend!

We were so lucky to have had Stephanie be our wedding photographer! Her warm, friendly and calm energy combined with her expertise really added so much to our special day!
