Only because I couldn't give 0 stars. I had previously been told they would help after leaving messages and no return call I went up there the lady at the desk wouldn't call the person I asked for and said they couldn't help me I asked if I could use the restroom and was told that I was not getting services so I could not use the restroom, if you are not feeling low enough go here she will be glad to help you feel worthless! Need someone to kick you when you are down, she would be helpful!

I've had issues in the past with workers who I feel didn't really care about me or my housing, but just yesterday I was blessed with an awesome intake gentleman and was able to accomplish much.
I use to be homeless in Houston, and I remember building A family with the people who work at Search.I will never forget the love they Sheard with me.Search is (THE BEST HOMELESS SHELTER IN HOUSTON). I lived in 3rd ward and I smoked crack for 23 years. I use to sleep on the side walks beside SEARCH building I eat there, hung out there and took showers there. If I could describe SEARCH in my own words. There's only one I would use (LOVE) that's what SEARCH about. I had A case worker there ,I got clothes, shoes, sox, gift cards, hygenes, etc. You name it ,if SEARCH pass it out I was there to get it. The next biggest thing I like about SEARCH, they are the only homeless shelter feeds healthier food then other homeless places. I been to the majority homeless shelters in Houston. There's is none,I mean none that compares to SEARCH. And this coming from A guy use to smoke crack on the streets, run the streets, eat on the streets, and sleep on the streets. At least I can give my testimony about SEARCH because they was there for me, and it's time to be there for them.Amen When I left Houston I found God and I haven't been smoking crack anymore, sleeping on the streets, eating on the streets, etc. You know you have your good and your bad in every place you go to, (BUT) SEARCH goods out weighs its bad.Amen What is SEARCH good for? #1.Your mind #2.Your body #3.And for your soul My name is Mr.Phillip j Clark And on my behalf I testify for SEARCH. Amen
Real services for homeless trying to get back on their feet. This pulled up through my calendar which reminded me I have a dental appointment tomorrow. I could not get this much needed work done any other way. God bless these people and their program
THEY HAVE COMPUTERS HERE FOR YOU TO USE TO FIND WORK OR??? I DIDN'T SIGN ON TO THEM BUT THE 3 THAT WERE IN THE LARGE LOBBY (SEE MY VIDEO POSTED ON GOOGLE MAPS 1o/1/19 TO SEE WHERE THEY ARE LOCATED...) WERE BEING USED WHILE I WAS THERE. THE INTAKE PROCESS FOR HOMELESS VETERANS AND FOR NON-VETERAN HOMELESS ALIKE, FROM WHAT I COULD TELL, IS SEAMLESS, FAST, COOL, AND FRIENDLY. SALVATION ARMY'S Veterans Services shares the building. THEY ARE ALL SMILES AND GRATEFUL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO BLESS SO MANY.
I guess it would be a great place to go if you are unmotivated and don't know how to do anything for yourself. I was able to get my ID, my medication, my food stamp benefits and find housing on my own faster than SEARCH was able to help me.
The truth will always set you free. Anyone that reads this. It is your duty and right to say something. Shame them shame the devil. Some bad and evil people in this world will not outshine what is good and good people.
An older female door monitor named Linda is verbally and same sex abusive to clients.
Nurse practioner Anika Franklin and Medical ASSI Michelle Santiago verbally and emotionally abuse clients at SEARCH Clinic.
I'll give them 3 stars of the effort they put forward in try to help those who need a helping hand. However, they seems as clueless as those they are trying to help. For the most part it seems they just show up to get a pay check. But push up to those whom have it in there hearts to be of true heart for helping others.
I was a client at search in 2004 and 2006 they were very helpful especially since me and my husband were waiting for benefits they gave us meals medical care my husband had several health issues and they took him to the emergency room a few times we. Got food from the food Bank Xmas gifts I still have a necklace I still wear I ever trained as a volunteer because I felt they deserved my help because I thought I owed them my help Dr. Henao was my friend and all the other counselors were too I was in the hospital and they brought me flowers I still have the vase it is very special to me because they were all such good helpful caring people I moved to the Dallas area but I often refer to my good friends at search.
Pay your rent or get Evicted. Now you have the memo. Keep up with your paperwork and appointments. Housing will definitely put you trough the hoops. Pay attention.
these people saved my life! literally! I love the people here as they really do care and try very hard to get people off the streets. Do'nt just come in for the coffee, be there everyday and try to make progress. it will happen! trust God!
They don't help the homeless. Was there a month ago. No services. No counselor no nothing. it's a waste of time and people's money that donate. They're a sham. People wake the f#$k-up.
The place was clean and not crowded. When they were open. I went there to apply for Gold Card and SNAP and had everything taken care of in less than 4 hours (3 years ago). They even had coffee and books for you while you waiting. Definitely a great improvement compare to the old place, I thought... Or it WAS 3 years ago. Now they can't even update their website info. It says open 8 AM. WRONG. There's sign on the gate: due to COVID-19 the office is CLOSED until further notice. They no longer assist with SNAP. It seems all they do now is pass bottled water and disposable face masks through the gate after 9 AM. Such a disappointment!!! I waisted an hour, standing in the cold to get me a bottle of Ozarka..
