January and February are very good times to visit SeaWorld. As far as COVID restrictions go, it's a little bit silly. They check your temperature and make sure that you wear a mask the entire time. Social distancing is in place. Buuuut, it's totally fine if you sit right next to somebody on the carousel.

I did not have a bad experience, but if you're concerned about COVID-19 you probably should not be at an amusement park. They do the best they can for the environment they've created.

The orca, beluga and dolphin shows are worth the trip to the park on their own. 36,000 animals have been rescued by SeaWorld which is amazing. The rides by the turtle reef are awesome, you can literally feel your soul coming out in the green one. My wife and I loved the park even though it was raining yesterday. The only suggestions I have are to clean the water in the Flamingo lagoon more often and lower the price of the food.

We had so much fun! A special shout out to Patrick at Rio Loco for being so good to us and our handicapped son. We came with our three kids, Bay of Play kept our kids entertained. We loved the shows, I highly recommend the Orca Show. We liked that they let us bring in our own water and fruit snacks for our three year old. All in all a great time and good accessibility options.

Awesome Halloween show and our kids loved it. We have the annual pass so make sure that you present it at all stores and you will save even more. If you don't have any annual pass you should, it pays for itself in 2 visits.

We used to live in San Antonio. Had season passes for years and we all loved it. However we moved and looked forward to a trip back this weekend. Due to covid and new reservation options, I purchased 4 passes and one parking pass with scheduled date for this Friday. Also due to covid we have to cancel our trip as the entire house is positive. I have been calling everyday the last 3 days. I wait on hold for 30 minutes as well as my husband on his cell and we get a message saying someone will contact us back. I found an email address to which I sent an email to explaining our situation and the automatic response back said someone will get back with me March 21 or for quicker response I can go to the location and speak to someone ( really what about people who aren t local ). I m not looking for a refund just to switch my reservation date to bring our daughters once we are all covid free. So the hassle to get a call back/email is ridiculous. Now when we call it allows us to wait then gives us a message saying our number is on the call back list. Well........

We like this place. I thought it was a tad expensive, but worth it for the kids. Plenty to do for big and little kids and I enjoy it myself as well.

Wear sun screen and a hat. Shade is almost non-existent. You also can't bring a cooler any bigger than a basic lunch box, which I think is a miss, considering the amount of small kids.

They still have good shows. Everyone asked us if it was still good since they didn't have the whales. My reply was "they still have the whales". I think they just don't get in the water with them.

We brought a one year old and almost 4 year old. Both had fun and slept good afterward.

We had a great time and my kid enjoyed the most, all the shows were good. If have to choose only one then that would be the Orca show. Would have given 5 stars if their food restriction was a bit lenient, they didn't even allow small snacks for kids and we had hard time finding the appropriate food for my kid. I understand the reason for the restriction but there could have been some exceptions at least for the kids. Apart from that we had a great time in there and the entire SeaWorld team was exceptional.

Texas !!! You can't get bigger than that. Sea World in San Antonio Texas is a must go to place. Tourist attraction, fun for family and friends, big groups or small. Go early and spend the entire day there, you will need to because there is a lot to see.
Highly recommend it, this is just one of the things to do in San Antonio, but you can't do them all in one day.

Great place to go on vacation and has some good shows to see especially the whales and sea otters. Unfortunately, the water park on the other side of SeaWorld had only four main water slides and two regular pools. I expected a bit more slides but overall it was a great time

Typically I would give a 5 star review because we have gone 3 years in a row but this year in May we couldn't due to covid. The reason for the 1 star is because me and my mom are about to reach the 4 month mark waiting on a refund. Every time I call they tell me my refund is done just waiting for it to process. 3 calls later im still waiting. I was able to go on a different vacation and still nothing. Hopefully this gets resolved soon because I'm getting to the point where sea world will be taken off my vacation list.

Great visit! Agreed that these Orcas are best kept in the wild but the handlers do take good care of them. There were not in any way tortured or looked as in they were in stress. Seaworld as a organization may be greedy but not the handlers who look after these beautiful mammals.

I think sea world has lost some of the magic since adding all the rides. I remember leaving as a kid enamoured with the ocean and life in it, and now it is all about paying extra money for this and that, meeting creatures, eating, etc. It is, IMHO VERY overpriced. The big coaster was broken all day, the stunt show was cancelled due to difficulties but no one told us so we were just sitting there waiting for no reason. They spend a lot of time at the shows talking about how they are on a mission to save the sea, but that gets tired fast.
While the shows are good, I think the one everyone liked best was actually a dog show, nothing to do with the ocean.
Anyway, our AAA discount wasn't accepted for some reason, so they found a way to make us pay as much as possible which made me really mad. I called AAA and they said it was supposed to be 57 bucks, but it wasn't, ended up over 80. What a ripoff.
I'm glad we saw it, but I would not return. I wanted my son to go home all fascinated with the ocean, but really, he just liked the dog show and water park. Oh and the sharks, those were cool too. My son kept asking where Shamu was, I just said he's not here, which he was disappointed by.
My $0.02 is that if you get discounted tickets, worth it. Full price ? Go to Disney instead.

This was my first time going to SeaWorld. There truly is a lot for kids to do. The Whlae show was truly awesome.
I highly recommend you take advantage and buy the free refill beverage containers to keep the kids and or an adult hydrated with all the heat and walking.
As for the food, big dissapointment. It's too expensive and that pricing should seriously be relooked by the organization. I'm okay paying that much with quality bread, meat etc...but after buying the chilli dog, cheese burger, and chicken wrap, never again! Feed the kiddos before you come.
Other than that, awesome park!

Went during mid-June and lines really were not long at all (in comparison to what I've seen at Disney). The kids had a great time and really loved all the shows... my son probably made me ride the Steel Eel a hundred times! I only gave 4 stars because during the shows - especially the Shamu show - there was standing room only, even though they had available seats in the VIP section. So, Seaworld workers were charging $5 per ticket to sit in those seats... WTH, I had just paid way more than that to get in the park and see the shows. Even still, great time and would go back!

We have been a couple times and bought season pass...

We have been a couple times and bought season passes. We were there yesterday and purchased three reusable cups to get free refills. Half the food stations did not serve fountain drinks and many of the ones that did were not operational. My husband was locked out of the sea lion stadium when he went to get one of the reusable cups, leaving our toddler and my very pregnant self by ourselves as we tried to get refills. My mother-in-law gets a special ticket price because she is a teacher and it took two hours to get the ticket because no one at the front knew where she needed to go or what line she needed to stand in to get her ticket. The card readers kept going down when we attempted to go into the park. Crowd control at the lines as bad as several people were permitted to cut us in line because we have a stroller. Lines were badly organized.

Other than that, the crowds weren't too bad, even for Memorial Day weekend, but it seemed that the staff were unknowledgeable about where to get drinks, which in 95 degree weather is unacceptable, especially as Sea World does not permit you to bring your own food and beverages. These are all issues that the San Diego Sea World does NOT have. I think the San Antonio Sea World would do well to take notes from them.

We still have passes so we'll probably go again, but after they expire we'll have to see if they improve.

Strictly as an amusement park, we enjoyed the rides. The lines moved quickly, and we had about a 5 minute wait for each ride. We didn't really care for the animal exhibits, but that's a personal preference. I think we don't care for caged show animals, so I don't know why I thought we would enjoy it this time. Perhaps if there was more focus on explaining whether these animals were rescued or why they remain in captivity, people would be more understanding and interested. We were just sad seeing the larger animals, and left to visit Aquatica instead.

We had a great time and enjoyed both Sea World and Aquatica, but was very disappointed there was 1 46" ride in Aquatica. My son is 46", the 42" rides were for toddlers and the 48" rides were for older children therefore my son and I could only ride 1 ride that allowed 46" children. My son cried at least two times because he could not ride the ride that he wanted to because of his height. Sea World was much better with the kids area, with several 46" rides, sesame street charactersn water splash padn game zones, air conditioned buildings, and great free refillable drinks. The shows were great. Parking was not bad as I thought it would be. They provided rain checks which was nice since we got rained out and couldn't ride all of the Sea World rides. More signs should be available around Sea World for easier ride navigation, the Sea World app would always take the long route. The preferred parking which is closer to SeaWorld is not worth the $8 extra. Needless to say, we will return to Sea World but not Aquatica.

We loved it!!! My only complaint is the guards pick and choose who gets to bring sleeping kids in strollers to watch the shows. Wear really good shoes. And bring lots of water. We were very thankful that we were able to keep getting ice for our water. Also $10 towels what a great price and practical keepsake.

The grandkids love the shows. Back again, the beluga whales were fun to watch almost as much as the sea lions. Both shows very entertaining and the places were packed. So festive the lights you have to see to believe for yourself. So colorful. We had another great visit. The employees are always friendly too. Cant wait to go back again. And back again straight to aquatica with the grandkids today july 2019. Little crowded but it was mid 90s too. Lines moved pretty well. Helps if you get there earlier. We stopped at the water stone grill, surprisingly good. A good variety and the girls loved the pizza. The wrap with spinach tortilla was good size and the croissant sandwich was tasty and also good size. A saw a few burgers walk by on trays and they didnt look to shabby either.back again very hot but they had misters placed throughout, helped a little.

This is solely based on tonight's fireworks for the Fourth of July. We spent hours Holding a spot to see "the best firework show in town" it's a good thing we didn't pay extra for a seat. Every year SeaWorld San Antonio has an annual Fourth of July firework show for guest. The show is ALWAYS held on the ski lake island where they play music to go along with the fireworks and where there isn't a bad seat in the area EXCEPT If they decide to move the firework show to the front of the park!!! And not say a single Word to the guest. How disappointed this is/was to all the family's and children waiting to see the fireworks. This was unacceptable to anyone who spent money and time. This will be the last year I spend Fourth of July looking at fireworks from Sea World San Antonio

Sea World San Antonio handles the holidays and Covid. They randomly temp checked park visitors at the front gate. Seating at the main shows (beluga whales, Orcas) was spaced and sections were released by a guy waving a yellow flag. Of course everyone had to have a mask to enter the park. The shows were great, the park was beautifully decorated, especially at night under Christmas lights. Overall, hats off to the Sea World management and staff for hosting safe entertainment. Lastly, a gold star on top of their tree for playing Christmas music with Christ in it.
