We had to wait 40 minutes for a table and then they told us they were closing. They had been calling us but a digit was incorrectly written down. We were the only ones waiting outside, perhaps in the future they can step outside and just tell us a table is ready instead of trying to call a number that doesn't exist. I have been there in the past for a wedding and other tastings that have been good, so a 5-star is still in order but this experience warranted a 1-star.

We had a great experience working with Sea Cider's event planning staff for our original wedding plans. Unfortunately we weren't able to go ahead with our event, and the team worked with us to downsize, postpone, and finally cancel our plans. This is a fantastic venue with caring staff and we always enjoy stopping in for a tasting of their delicious products. We hope to work together again in the future. Thank you so much!

We decided to stop at this winery while visiting the area . The young fellow who seated us outdoors wasn't real friendly, but the woman who served us was very nice. I read some reviews about the beautiful scenery but we were seated on a gravel area at the back, which wasn't too impressive but we weren't given any other option. One of the ciders we tried was very nice so we bought a bottle as well as a pie that was in the cooler. When we got back to our hotel in Victoria we opened the box to find the pie that we were charged $10.00 for was about the size of a tart, substantially smaller than the box it was in ! I was very surprised and felt ripped off. We won't return on our next trip to B.C.

If you bike there, you get mad deals. An extra taster in your flight, and wholesale pricing on bottles of cider. Wow!

It's overlooking their orchard and the ocean, the service superb, and the cider is top notch. I recommend it to anyone out here for a visit. It's a wildly relaxing atmosphere.

Cool atmosphere and views. Loved the large cider flight. Not all to our personal tastes but still thought they created quality product. Their cider is the best I think I ve ever had! (And I ve consumed a large amount of cider throughout BC and Alberta).

You were recommended to me by family who said you make excellent quality cider, and since I got off work a bit early today I thought I'd drive up and check you out. Coming from Esquimalt, it's a bit out of the way so I was going to stock up with probably $50-100. Unfortunately I didn't check your hours first and simply assumed that you would be open for business at normal business hours (silly me). I got there shortly after 4, to find you not open, and drove away disappointed and without spending any money. So some general business advice: If you want to sell to the general public, you have to remember that we have these pesky little things called jobs that keep us busy until 5ish. If you want more money, try staying open until 6ish ;)

Sea Cider is a great place to go from a cruise ship tour, take your local visitors, or even just enjoy as a family. Everyone we've taken there has enjoyed it. They will even give you a quick tour of the facilities.

Sea Cider has been a favorite location for both my boyfriend and I. Everytime we are back in Victoria visiting, this is a major stop on the list. The cider is great, and they offer a few dry choices; the Perry is our favorite! The atmosphere is inviting with a beautiful view. A bike ride out from victoria on the gallaping goose makes a for a pretty good day trip. :)

Just had our wedding at the venue. Absolutely loved it! The manager (Michelle) was extremely attentive! The staffs for the night (April 12, 2017) were amazing! They definitely went above and beyond to make sure we were taking care of! Photos to follow!

Went for a friends wedding recently and the whole thing was a blast and went off without a hitch. Great service, awesome view, and the best cider I have ever tasted. Excited to go to another one there as soon as possible - and drink more cider.

Cider was not bad but the tasting for 6 ciders was $40 for 2 which is super expensive. Most wineries and cideries are $5 a flight and you get the same amount. I'll be buying the ciders in liquor stores in the future to try them.

Sea Cider is a fun place to visit. They offer tastings and off sales, as well as guided tours. It's a scenic spot, and best to visit when the weather is nice. The cider itself is great, and they offer a wide range, so whether you prefer it sweet or dry, you;'ll probably find something you like here.

I loved this place sooo much. Not only is it obviously adorable, but the ciders were great and the environment went with it perfectly. The way our tasting flight was given to us, with a sheet to rank our ciders and take notes, made the experience really fun. A great place to sit by the window, take in the sun, enjoy the views and have a nice class of cider with friends or family.

Recently attended a friend's wedding at Sea Cider and I was blown away. Can't believe I've been driving right past SeaCider for years and never stopped in for a tasting. The views are incredible, the staff very helpful and the cider damn delicious. A gem on the South Island. I will definitely be back.

I love Sea Cider! They've got great food, better cider, and to top it off, it's all in a beautiful setting. They've got a great range of ciders, I usually try to go in for a tasting when I'm on the island.

Delicious ciders with a stunning view
Large tasting room with long tables for ample seating
Cider tastings available as a set of 3 or individual
Loved the Rumrunner (seasonal) and Bramble Bubbly

Great property that would be lovely in the summer. We visited in winter but it was still nice. Very unique and excellent ciders. Worth the price as they are of excellent quality with very distinctive flavours. Would recommend doing a tasting flight as not all will be enjoyed by everyone. I loved the dryness of the Wild English but found the Wassail much too sweet and spicy. The ciders are all quite strong in ABV so be careful!

AMAZING WEDDING VENUE!

AMAZING WEDDING VENUE!
My husband and I got married at Sea Cider on May 13, 2017 and it couldn't have been better. The beautiful location, the excellent staff, and delicious cider made for a very special day. We don't live on Vancouver Island, but planning the wedding from a distance was a breeze with their wedding coordinator. Everything came together beautifully and our guests were raving about how stunning everything was from the rustic cider house, to the charming tent, ocean view, blossoming orchard, and enchanting forest clearing where we had our ceremony. Not only that, but they did take down after so our guests could party until the last dance.
It honestly felt like something out of a fairy tale. Absolutely perfect.

I had a wonderful seasonal cider from here a few months ago that my friend purchased from the local liquor store, and we happened to be in the hood and thought we'd check it out. The sample flights were $18 (as much as a full bottle!!), and wasn't even applied towards a purchase. After buying a bottle, we dropped in to the local beer store for ice and found the same bottle of cider for $14! Confusing and quite disappointed.

The cider that Sea Cider makes is unlike any cider you've ever tasted. Unlike other ciders which taste like spiked apple juice their ciders have the perfect amount of tartness to them. They offer a wide selection of flavours with many interesting choices. Try Wolf in the Woods, Rumrunner, and the Birds and the Bees flavour. The tastings are offered in a laid back environment, and you can choose to sit on their patio, overlooking their orchard, and the ocean. The staff were very friendly and the portions were generous. We shared a flight of 6 ciders between the two of us. A must see for any cider lovers!

Staff are unfriendly, not even a hello when we showed up before opening time (11am) at 10:40am; they just gave us blank stares and it was I who asked how they were doing.. as mentioned in other reviews, samples are not free. Also our tour time was booked for 11am but the fellow was not ready for us, instead he toured a group of women.. so we decided to just pay for samples and waited for him to be done, no one approached us to tell us they are ready for our tour (we were seated on the balcony), so we dranked our samples and asked for the tour, then the fellow was very selective and did not want to tour us so a lady toured us (I overheard their conversation and him shaking his head). I give them 2 stars because I truly appreciate what they do, cider is organic and tasty, most importantly the property is a gem! Too bad the service did not match their products and property. One good thing about their staff is when they gave me blanked stares and said they haven't even opened yet, I said okay no problem I will go back and buy those raspberry we saw on the way in but didn't know how to buy it, I then asked how to purchase raspberry from that farm and they told us how to.

We called ahead to make a booking, though we turned up earlier than expected they were happy to seat us. Delicious ciders which I will now look out for in private liquor stores in my area. Tasty bites to eat are also available to order with your tasting. The views are wonderful even on an overcast day. We look forward to visiting again in summer!

My fiance and I considered Sea Cider for a venue as we thought it was unique but after hearing from a friend how they were treated we do not recommend it. They seem to be more interested in getting your money than providing good service and acting in good faith. Life's to short to deal with people like that.

Sea Cider is an amazing business. Not only do they have delicious locally made cider, but they also have an adorable venue which is great for weddings or other events. As a photographer this is one of my favourite places that I have had the luck to photograph. From the fresh flowers to the delicious catering, the people working behind the scenes at Sea Cider really know what they are doing. I wouldn't hesitate to host my own event here!!

Excellent cider, but...

We had a reservation and rode our bikes up from Victoria. A group arrived ahead of us and told the host they were 45 minutes early for their reservation, but would like to sit down now. They were seated right away, but we had to stand outside in the cold for over 10 minutes before the host ever came back to seat us. Eventually seated, no one came to our table until we got up to find a server. Then, we ordered a "mulled cider" drink off the feature menu, only to be served a cold yogurt drink that, unbeknownst to us, we had to buy an extra glass of cider to add to. When we spoke to the manager about the confusion, he said there was absolutely nothing he could do about it.
We have been here in the summer, and we have been here in the winter, and the venue has never been weather appropriate. There is no shelter from the sun on their patio, and the doors are left open with no heat source in the winter.
We will definitely return because we love the cider, but we wish the customer service would improve!

This is such a great cider farm! Very friendly and knowledgable staff. The cider selection is impeccable! My personal favourite was the cider jelly featured in the Artisan Meat & Cheese Plate. The cheeses on this charcuterie board are so so so good!!

I loved the cider jelly so much that I had to order more 2 weeks later, great service from the company as this item was not on their online store!

I will admit some bias in this review: every time I visit here it's after cycling 35km to a ferry, and another 10-15 to the cidery, on hot summer days. Not a long way, but enough to make it so that when someone hands you a glass of cider (or even better, cider slushy) on a gorgeous patio overlooking an amazing view, you start feeling like you've found the best place on earth.

The view is nothing short of breathtaking. The service is always fun and superb. And the cider is certainly a cut above average.

Be sure to keep up to date on their offerings since not all ciders in their tasting flights are available for sale at all times. Turns out our favourite was long out of stock (the English Wild). Luckily, we were able to find other bottles of equally tasty ciders from the long flight tasting to bring back to our hotel with us. The care and expertise shown in the ciders produced here is truly excellent and a mark of great craftsmanship.

I've been a fan of SeaCider for some time. I ordered a mixed box of 12 through their website, they held a few bottles for me while they waited for another variety to come back in stock and I was able to get everything I wanted to try! The delivery was quick and well packaged, I absolutely recommend them and will be ordering them again!

We had our wedding here and it was AMAZING. The staff is truly wonderful. The venue is just stunning. You could not rent a better place for an event in Victoria in my opinion. I would highly recommend Sea Cider to brides to be. Shout out to Jessica and Lisa who helped us with coordinating and booking the event. They were fantastic.

We rented a bike from Pedalers in downtown Victoria and rode them all the way to Sea Cider. We slightly regretted the choice of transportation as it is 25km in one direction (sore bums from bike seats) but the scenery was unparalleled! So much fun.

When we got to Sea Cider we learned that if you ride there by bike, they give you a 2oz sampler of you cider of choice, for free! This is only a summer option, though. We tried12 ciders in total, had some tasty salted caramel apple taffy, tried the meat & cheese and three dip platters and sat in an area where we could gaze at the orchard and ocean. We will definitely be going back.

We had a great time here last Friday. It was not busy at all and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We each enjoyed their Artisan Lunch plate with local cheeses, meats and dip as well as our own flight tasting with Kings & Spies and Rumrunner being my two favorites. We will definitely be back soon!
