Tried enrolling online on bcbsnc website. Premium was deducted from my bank account but policy was not issued. Have been following up with customer care executives from more than 2.5 months. They do not issue the policy or refund the money.

This is a complete ripoff. You submit a claim, send them the evidence they request by mail and after more than 2 months they keep saying they didn't receive anything. Their answer? Ask for a copy of the documents and send them again! Total ripoff, beware of these scammers.

Good coverage for the money...dismal customer service. I can't possibly explain using only words how disappointing my last call with "Customer disService" number on the back of the card went. First, I tried the website for an answer to what should have been an easy question..."Does [MY] BCBS plan cover all or part of the "Fitness Your Way" membership? No info that I could find.
After being on hold for 10+ minutes, somone picked up and immediately hung up...fine. Called back and was on hold for 20 minutes. A gal answered - yay! She informed me they are doing call-backs - boo! So...I actually waited for over a half hour to be told by a real person that I needed to be called back by another real person 2-3 DAYS later?!? An organization the size of Blue could not take the time to set up an automated message to just input your number and await a callback WITHOUT wasting a half hour of 8-5 prime time business hours? Really?
It's 4 days later. Think I have heard back or ever will if I don't call back again? I don't.

I just got off the phone with Rhonda from the Durham office dealing with a claim and that might be the best customer service experience I ve ever had. She even said that if I need any clarification or if the company calls me needing additional information that I can call her and she will help me through the process. How sweet is that?! Rhonda your customer service skills are out of this world. Thank you so much for your help and for reading through all 40 some pages of my claim. Sorry about that!

Worst insurance. They make rules to exclude them from paying for services they are supposed to cover. If your worried about medicare for all maybe you should worry about a company whose ceo s are over paid to not cover your services. My heathcare has gone from 250-400 under obama then up to 1600 under trump. They make me sit on hold for hours getting a generic drug refilled ive been on 8 years. And its a pretty cheap drug. I had stomach reduction under there rules bmi must be 35 with two weight related problems or 40 bmi without. Mine was 34.5 with 3 health problems that were cured from the surgery i paid in full. I have had issues with these guys since March when I ran into some financial difficulties. Since then they have denied coverage for some medical bills in the past all the way up until today. There has been iffy customer service with the promise of resolving my situation. Instead I was blessed with a 45+ min. hold to hear that there is nothing that can be done. They have denied my coverage made it impossible for me to get coverage from an assistance program. When I recently tried to pay a debt that they have continually added to for 6 months they only accepted half of the payment so that they could continue to deny to pay for my mental health treatment.

Customer service is really really bad. After a long hold I finally spoke to a CSR Juana who stated she couldn't help me because the computers were down, but swore she would call me back when they were working. That was 2 weeks ago. So I call again and after long hold after giving my info. the next CSR passes me to another # which was the wrong connection in provider services. So CSR Charm then turns me over to the main menu to start all over again. The next CSR says they can help, I ask for a supervisor because I already had 4 CSRs that didn't help, after a long 46 minute hold, they disconnect me. Still haven't gotten any help! TERRIBLE!!!

I cannot express enough my utter disgust for a company that acts brand new every single month when they decide not to help cover my medication. For two years, every single month, they have declined coverage of a single prescription without having pre-authorization that takes DAYS to go through from the time the prescription is sent to the pharmacy. Asking that my doctor write reasons why every single month I need the medication along with my signature as if the reasons have changed, I ve missed many days of work because of this. But seriously, every month they decline, and I have to call multiple people to get them to agree, again just like every month, to cover my prescription, which is the only reason I m paying them.. for two years this has happened every month and I m so glad I m finally switching to a better insurance who agrees with me, and has already set in place their coverage plan for my medication, with an even cheaper copay. Super disgraceful how I have even spoken to this company multiple times how they can NOT just decline because a day without my medication can literally kill me, make me lose my job, or just go completely insane. They do not care, even though I m paying them to do their job under their guidelines, they consistently failed me every single month.
