About SDA

SDA: The Inter-European Division Website of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

Welcome to the official website of the Seventh-day Adventist Church's Inter-European Division, also known as SDA. This website serves as a platform for sharing information about our activities and initiatives, as well as our presence in Europe. Our mission is to spread the gospel message of hope and salvation through Jesus Christ, and we are committed to serving communities across Europe.

Our History

The Seventh-day Adventist Church was founded in 1863 in Battle Creek, Michigan, USA. Since then, it has grown into a global movement with millions of members around the world. The church's mission is based on the belief that Jesus Christ will soon return to earth and establish His kingdom. As such, we are dedicated to spreading this message through evangelism and community service.

In Europe, the first Adventist missionaries arrived in Switzerland in 1874. From there, they spread throughout Europe and established churches in many countries. Today, there are more than 86 thousand members across Europe who worship together every week.

Our Beliefs

At SDA, we believe that God created us for a purpose - to love Him and serve others. We believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior who died on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with Him. We also believe that God has given us His Word - the Bible - as a guide for living a fulfilling life.

We observe Saturday (the seventh day) as Sabbath because it reminds us of God's creation story where He rested on this day after creating everything else during six days (Genesis 2:1-3). It is also an opportunity for us to rest from work or other activities so that we can focus on worshiping God.

Our Activities

SDA offers various programs aimed at promoting spiritual growth among its members while serving their communities at large:

1) Evangelism: We organize evangelistic campaigns where people can learn about Jesus Christ's teachings through Bible studies or seminars.
2) Education: We operate schools from kindergarten up until university level.
3) Health Ministries: Our health ministries promote healthy living by providing resources such as cooking classes or health fairs.
4) Youth Ministries: Our youth ministries provide opportunities for young people to grow spiritually while having fun with their peers.
5) Community Services: Through community services like food banks or disaster relief efforts during natural disasters like earthquakes or floods; SDA aims at helping those who need it most.

Our Presence Across Europe

SDA has churches located throughout all European countries including Albania Andorra Austria Belarus Belgium Bosnia-Herzegovina Bulgaria Croatia Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Estonia Finland France Germany Greece Hungary Iceland Ireland Italy Kosovo Latvia Liechtenstein Lithuania Luxembourg Macedonia Malta Moldova Monaco Montenegro Netherlands Norway Poland Portugal Romania Russia San Marino Serbia Slovakia Slovenia Spain Sweden Switzerland Ukraine United Kingdom Vatican City State (Holy See).

In conclusion; SDA is an organization dedicated to spreading hope through faith-based initiatives across Europe while serving its communities' needs regardless of race or religion affiliation without discrimination based on gender identity/sexual orientation status etcetera .
