This place is like no other. It's part thrift store, part art supply store, part miscellaneous things you didn't know you needed store. I go here every few months to get supplies for various art projects I am doing - they have a great second hand fabric section and lots of scrapbooking supplies. They also have scientific beakers, particle board, wood scraps, yarn, kids craft supplies, and so on. You can walk out with two bags of stuff for less than $10 and it contains enough to keep you busy for days! In addition, they have an actual thrift store next door that has clothes, books, furniture, and other household items.

AWESOME PLACE!

AWESOME PLACE!
Great place to get old stuff for upcycling into other things. Everything from cloth scraps to lab beakers to plastic boxes and everything in between.

Fun birthday party for my girls. Lots of drums filled with interesting and well organized scraps. Lots of ideas on the walls (added inspiration) Comes with a helper. Ours was very pleasant, knew all the rules and where to find things.
If bringing food that requires dishes/utensils, I'd suggest bringing your own...(and plan on washing them at home later... They frown on disposable goods...as they should...)

Antique store prices at a JUNK store?!?!?

Antique store prices at a JUNK store?!?!?

I was pretty turned off when finding some really nice vintage items at DOUBLE their current selling prices on eBay and other sites....This makes no sense to me, as even dickering down to half the cost would leave no meat on the bone for a reseller.....The other stuff is good for crafty people who live in the city, with no other access to scrap materials...Not in the best neighborhood.. Probably won't go back for a while.

The scrap exchange is a magical dimension in and of itself where crafters, makers, and cosplayers can find all sorts of supplies for a fraction of the cost AND contribute to the reuse movement.

What a unique place! If you are looking for some craft, art, or other DIY supplies this should be your first stop. The things they have range from practical (fabric, stamps, scrapbook paper, frames, hardware, etc) to bizarre and funny (old medical containers, vintage board games, giant pieces of foam, recycled political yard signs, left over 5k race medals, etc). They have everything, including the occasional kitchen sink. If you are looking for inspiration for some DIY fun, stop by and spend a few bucks here. You'll spend quite a while wandering around the very large square footage - this is not a quick stop.

Very big spaces with tons of different nick nacks. Really enjoyed looking around for items to dress up my wedding reception tables. Sadly had to leave quickly because its extremely dusty and had an allergic reaction too it. Otherwise nice place.

This is a great place to go on a regular basis. There are always surprises. One building houses a scrap department that always has a wide variety of fabrics, leather scraps, yarn, string, thread, and so on. There are also wood scraps, containers of various kinds, paper, envelopes, nails, screws, tiles, bottles, bottle caps, three ring binders, laboratory glassware, and much much more. Today I got four large three-ring binders, never-before-used as far as I can tell, and payed $1 for all four.

There is also another building that is a resale shop that has clothes, dishes knickknacks, books, kitchen tools, all the stuff you usually find in such places.

They accept donations so it is also a good place to take stuff you need to get rid of, but which is not really trash.

The Scrap Exchange is a great resource for arts and crafts and an excellent venue for recycling unused and antique gadgets and knickknacks. Their do-it-yourself workshops are wonderful for stimulating the imagination of kids, and undervalued as occupational therapy.
Stop by just ONCE, and you'll see why. Bring your imagination, nostalgia and creativity!

Aaaaaand HEAVEN! It's truly a place where if you think about it, you can bring it about. There's so much to see...and as one room was being used as a party room, we didn't even see some of the store!! I can't WAIT to go back!!!

Can't rate Scrap Exchange highly enough! If you're looking for something and you can't find it, chances are the Scrap Exchange has it! We've gotten such good deals on final products, as well as components for projects we're working on. The staff and volunteers are friendly and always put out new stuff. Be sure to check out the Scrap Exchange thrift store that's in the same shopping center. Just follow the yellow brick road until you get there!

Such an interesting and wonderful place. If you are an artist or teach/have kids who are into art, this is a wonderful place to look for different types of supplies! I was so impressed with the variety of things they had there. Most of my time was spent looking at postcards! Consider this place when looking for supplies and when getting rid of things you do not use! You would be surprised what other people can do with things you no longer need!

This is a great place to pick up crafting materials, and shop for all sorts of odds and ends. I tend to go there for the music and movies, but they have books, building materials, antiques, fabric, electronics, everything. I'm not too fond of the location. The staff are friendly.

I absolutely love the scrap exchange! Even though it's just a large warehouse with a bunch of organized unused materials, it's a pretty awesome place for crafters. Or for that person that likes to be their own scientist at home and may want to create a robotic hand. They have all the things you might need to bring this to reality. You've just got to have some imagination!

It is so much fun to visit the Scrap Exchange. It tickles the imagination just to walk through and see all the things available! I wish I had time to play with them all! From a practical standpoint, they have an excellent supply of office supplies that are rock bottom prices.

Great place. Theres 2 building and the smaller building has tons of crafty items. I just got into beading and found have some awesome items for creating bracelets and necklaces for kids and adults. The entire bead section was redone so now it's even easier to find stuff. As much as I want to keep these items a secret for myself, I believe in the good of thrift stores and the services they provide for the community. So, here's the punchline: I've found GOLD here!!! Love this place.
