My now-husband and I just stayed here on June 8th, 2019 for our wedding night. The room was very nice as were all of the staff, but there were several things that just really sucked and it was not made apparent when I booked the room 2 months prior.
Here it goes, I had no idea that this was their off season, so when we checked in, we found out the lifts were not running (which is the reason we chose to stay here so we could hike around on top of the mountain).
Secondly, because it was the off season, food choices were very limited (which again, was not made apparent when I booked). We arrived at the hotel around 6:30 pm and there was only one restaurant open and they didn't even have fryers, which means they didn't even have french fries. I say this because they literally had no gluten free items on the menu (my husband has to eat gluten free), so he went hungry for the night. The next morning, I called the front desk to ask if there was a place that was open to get breakfast. The lady at the front desk said there was a place in the lobby. We got ready to head down only to find that there were hardly any food options, and the only gluten free options were a cookie, a marshmallow bar, or a hard boiled egg. Seriously?! Who would equate these things to an actual breakfast? Even for gluten eaters, the only options were a couple breakfast sandwiches. On top of that, if we had decided to wait it out (while husband is starving), we would have had to wait until 11 am to get any real food. All in all, nice room, nice staff, but certainly not worth the $170 we spent for the night. Pretty disappointed.

Absolutely beautiful views from all over the mountain. Great hiking and mountain biking trails and lots of activities for the little ones. And the wild huckleberries we found on the nature trail at about 5300' elevation were absolutely delicious! Can't wait to come back in the fall!

When I got to the mountain I released that I had forgot my goggles and I needed some. I went up to the store and asked if they had any spare goggles. Judy the woman I talked to immediately said yes you can borrow mine. I loved that she was willing to give her goggles to me to better my day on the mountain

So my 19-year-old daughter headed out for her first ski trip with only another 19-year-old... They had a mix-up with the reservations and the young girl behind the desk, Emily completely saved the day... So great to know my kid is being taken care of so far from home. Thank you Emily!!!!

Had the pleasure of experiencing this amazing place over the weekend with a group of friends. Schweitzer is a place you could easily get lost in all the fun activities to do for a few weeks! I cannot express how awesome of an adventure this resort was!

Got lucky and came to ski the day of Schweitzer's winter festival fireworks show. Night ski was stellar. Day pass was even better the next day despite high winds and snow. Incredible resort, will be back!

This is a great all terrain mountain with incredible snow and very few lines. It has a local feel despite recently being commercialized with a resort and food/shopping options. It has retained its small mountain feel with large amounts of terrain that don t see skiers on a daily basis. You can ski all day and find new tracks in the snow, despite good conditions. This is a hidden gem and it will be a sad day when this is discovered by a larger population or a big mountain company.

Went to the bike park it doesn't have much and doesn't vary much but still had fun. The bottom of the mountain is wayy more fun. There are some trails off the highway driving up there that are more fun than the mountain itself. If you like chunky, steep, hand built trails then the bikepark is great

Whoever had the asinine idea to clear cut log the whole center backside of the mountain ought to be ashamed of themselves. You cannot reverses that damage to the natural terrain. I don t even recognize it back there anymore. It used to seem so big. Now it seems so small. Clear and open. Then coolest tree runs on the mountain that one had to know well to navigate and wind up where you want to be in the end are completely gone. I have zero interest in riding this mountain anymore thanks to this.

First time skiing for both of my young kids. Knowledgeable rental staff were cheerful, joking and energetic. Ski instructors were very professional and great with the kids. A positive experience all-around. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

Had one of my most memorable ski weeks here in March 2017. It had just dumped snow, and the runs were straight empty! We were riding and skiing through knee-high mid-weight snow on the trails farthest out to the right/left. Chill, retreat-like location. Would definitely go back.

We enjoyed our day here. I ve visited many times in the winter but this was the first time in the summer for mountain biking. Positives: The staff was universally friendly and helpful. I love how they load your bike for you on the chairlift. It s absolutely gorgeous. Downhill mountain biking is good for intermediate riders. Negative: this brings me to my biggest complaint, which is that there is virtually no beginner trails, and the sales person didn t bother to say anything at all before excepting my $35 for my five-year-old who had a difficult time getting down the mountain, he is a very good writer for his age, but it was still a little bit over his head. A warning about the absence of beginner trails would have been considerate. We still had fun but my five-year-old only did the one run.

I attended FallFest at Schweitzer and had an amazing time. There was plenty of parking with transportation to and from lots, although the transportation moved a little slow. The venue was well laid out and everything was easy to access. They brought in some great local talent and breweries. Overall, it was a great experience.

I LOVE Schweitzer Mountain Resort! I grew up riding on this mountain and so did my husband. This will always be a special mountain for us! The runs are great and the chair lift lines are not as bad as some mountains! We even went on a Sunday! The lift staff are so friendly, kind, and always helpful. We are headed there this week to ride again! Ticket prices are a little high, but they're honestly lower than could be! It is definitely not Vail or Jackson Hole prices!

No need to visit until Winter 2021. It's all torn up for expansion, including the parking, scheduled for completion Fall 2021. Don't let resort shills tell you otherwise--right now it's a concrete nightmare.

Decent mountain but extremely over priced. Prices keep skyrocketing and it is for the rich man. Not much of a family thing anymore or easy to have the youth do when greed gets in the way. Could be more enjoyable.

I lived in Sandpoint for 8-9 years. No where in Idaho is better than Schweitzer for skiers. Yes, it may be pricey but its well worth it. I buy season passes every year and get seasonal rentals from the Alpine shop (the one in town is cheaper) and do not have to return them until mid May (after the mountain is closed). I was so sad to see it close early this year from Covid-19. Staff is amazing and so helpful and kind. The ski is spectacular. They have beginners to Advanced/Professional. It is definitely harder then most mountains but it great to learn on or as your go-to ski resort.

Amazing mountain and amazing staff! Me and my friends come her to go snowboarding every year! The mountain has a beautiful view from every angle and the food is delicious! The groomers are amazing at keeping the slopes well maintained. Speaking of the slopes, there are multiple great slopes that are suitable for beginners all the way to experts. I would definitely recommend it!

We spent the day there on August 27th. We loved the shops, loved riding the chairlift up to the top and hiking around. The views were gorgeous! My daughter and son-in-law went on the zipline. We were impressed by the attendant, Wyatt. He was very personable and friendly. Great summertime activity
