Good food and great service. Expert advice on wine. The portions were quite generous for a restaurant in the price range. After starter and main course we were really full.
Yesterday we went to the Schmitz for the first time and it was a sensation! Really! We had the 4-course menu with accompanying wine and it was really a feast for the senses. Service was also perfect! We haven't been there for the last time! The best restaurant in Oldenburg and for me among the top 5 in Lower Saxony! Madness! Can't remember eating this well in the past few years. My wife says the same! WOW!

In total we have now been there 3 times. The service is friendly, but it should be a bit brisk, especially outside. Food is delicious, but it hasn't really sucked me off yet. I find e.g. the house must be crispy for a roast chicken, here it came around the corner twice. The burger tastes good, but the bun is like a Dutch cardboard bun. Oh and save my name and phone number when making a reservation, it somehow goes too far ...
Addendum: Called in the afternoon: You are welcome to come, do not need a reservation. Jetted into town within 40 minutes. End of the story, we were sent home with nothing available. Absolute no-go. Last times we had the impression that there are groups of people who are treated better because of their LV handbags ... Will not see us again after the action.

The food was tasty but that it. Not more! There was a mistake in the check....
To summarize: no reason to pay so expensive dinner.

The card reads very well and arouses a certain expectation of the special or at least the certain whistle. Especially with regard to the pricing you may also make claims that are not met. Everything is solid and delicious, but nothing else that others in Oldenburg can do or even better. Should the prices be set at 25% lower, the offered price performance would be reheatable in my view and the rating on my part higher.
We still had a nice evening there.

We went to this really great restaurant yesterday. In a cozy ambience you are served by friendly and courteous waiters who are always on hand to help you choose the right wine. The food was great quality and taste! The prices are quite high, but completely justified. The price-performance ratio is therefore very good. We would love to come back!

We meet there once a year for the IRO. Great restaurant with a special flair. The food is excellent and the staff is courteous and attentive.
