This place is horrible, the management is so bad that employee leave. The rotation of good employees is so bad that my brother always complains that he does not want to go.

United Way should definitely audit this place to make it better for people who are diagnosed with schizophrenia.

We are now trying CMHA!

Cannot believe the people running this place... Rude, arrogant, and quite simply mean. Dealt with a woman named "Erika York" in this organization and she was terrible to deal with for all of the above mentioned matters. I have a family member with Schizophrenia and I hope he never goes back.

The Society as a whole is a great place to work. The clients make this place so enjoyable along with upbeat coworkers....there is a big BUT here. BUT the biggest problem is with the management team. If you question authority, try to develop programs just to be told no all the time or have your your program changed entirely then you surely will lose your job.

The turnover rate in the last year of this organization in the Calgary Branch speaks to this matter very clearly.

Management has makes it very clear that they are not wanting to break stigma and discrimination like they try to advertise (even though nobody knows of the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta's existence but good luck with that). They close their doors and segregate not integrate their clients into society (specific program made mentioned before that was changed by management) and are not open to having their branches open to the public or other organizations.

Now i agree and understand with confidentiality to the fullest hence why you develop programs and clients who feel comfortable or not will attend. This educates, breaks stigma, reduces discrimination, and network with other organizations WHILE in their safe space.

This non profit dose not think of what this high turn over rate is doing to the clients. When clients make remarks about management visiting....that should raise eyebrows. My opinion some or the upper management needs to be replaced or the clients will continue to suffer.

I could keep going but i got more important stuff to waste my time on.
