Everything you expect from a folk theater. The look is characterized by the time it was built, luxurious in the old way, and in apparently very good condition. Good sort of audience and very big / deep scene with fantastic scenes. Free valet wardrobe.
Expect very little space between you and the sideman (if you bring your jacket in you will undoubtedly regret it!) And a poorly served kiosk during the break between the pieces. Otherwise nothing to complain about is recommended.

Gets incredibly warm in the room when it's full. It gets hot very fast, had expected a better air conditioner. Highly recommend thin and short clothing, even in winter.
Very good and efficient service in the bars and lockers. Good seats, light and sound quality.
Too few toilets. You spend the entire breaks standing in line.

The only thing is that if you choose a balcony, you have to go upstairs. There is no lift all the way up, just part of the road. So a little bad for the handicapped on floors other than the main floor, which is also more expensive.

Folketeateret now has both musicals and ballet on the program. So the Swan Lake with the Russian national ballet - it must only get 6 on all dice. So much is well not done with Folketeateret, but it is intimate and nice.

Folketheatret is a relatively big theatre for Oslo, and has everything you would except from a theatre. They serve alcohol, drinks and snacks which you can take in to your seat. The staff is pretty nice too.

You are often forced to hang up your jacket though, which isn't free, nor included in the ticket price. But that my only hang-up!

I love the old opera and that they have retained the old classical interior - here there is a wall between history - from the big opera to the most beautiful ballets. The folketeater is beautiful, stately and popular at one time!

Sound of Music is a fantastic performance with lots of heat built on a serious world situation. Brilliant actors and not least singers
When it comes to the theater itself, so there is a lot to draw here: lots of stairs, not so good for the elderly and disabled. There was a lift, but it was not big and did not stop at all levels. In the hall it was very tight between the rows. Could have been more toilets, long queues, the whole break was queued Star count mirrors the show

Fit large hall and nice rooms. So little that one gets more intimate feeling than the larger theaters. Do not get full score due to wardrobe duty and expensive drinks. Otherwise neat and clean.

Good seats, great shows, you can also buy varieties of beverage (alcoholic and non) that you can take with you in to see the show. The only negative I have to say about this venue is thay it is mandatory to leave your coats/jackets at the check-in, and that the bathroom queue during breaks is ridiculously long.

Fantastic actors and phantom of the opera, but should update audio, it ruins the experience and makes it out of order. Can also mention that ordering a reservation was a joke and there they should do better

One of the best places to see big production musicals and great stand up. It's a beautiful old building, absolutely gorgeous, but this also mean small seats, so longlegged people might be a bit uncomfortable. But the shows put up are world class. Well-known musicals, translated into Norwegian, internationally known stand-up comics and wonderful drag shows. Get your tickets early. many shows here sells out quickly.
