Large train station with many shops (restaurants, cafes, take aways, grocery stores, confectionery, flower shops, clothes shops, etc.), Toilleten (costs!), Information desk and lockers and a lost property. 13tracks + 4 RBS Bahn Perrons.

In 1864 a tower was demolished, the Christoffelturm to be able to construct the square of the station. The station of Bern has two differentiated zones, where 150,000 people pass each day, and by the RBS station, some 50,000. It is located a few meters from the old town of Bern and in the vicinity of the Bundesplatz. It can be accessed by urban transport, since several bus and tram lines operated by Bernmobil stop at the station square.

After the renovation in recent years, the station looks much better, the overpass is also well resolved. The underground passage, on the other hand, like the platforms, is rather dark and unfriendly. The station would More

Beautiful capital city of Switzerland. Rows and rows of shopping arcade with well known retailers for shopping. Scattered through the town are pillars with colourful sculptures which serves as drinkable water fountains

Very nice once again I want to go and take a walk around the city. Especially a historical place, I can not pass by them. I would like to learn a lot, but unfortunately time always limits ... But it s still beautiful, quiet, the difference between other towns and Bern seems to me to be a big difference. We still ended up on a holiday, New Year's holidays. Shops were closed, but people walked very pleasant atmosphere))) Main restaurants worked)) food on every corner)) I advise everyone to go at least once Mersi !!!

It is a functional station that offers quick services and you can reach everything. The shops are usually well managed and you can go at early in morning or late in evening. There is a shop for every need (groceries, clothes, electronics... Etc). You don get lost. However, it is really crewed at, 7-9 and, 17-19, you can almost walk.

Bern is the capital of Switzerland. Station is nice and easy to find out everything. Changing platform with luggage is easy as it has ramp & stairs both side by side. Don't forget Swiss rolls you can purchase quickly. Almost all the major cities has connections from this station.

Outrageous: train 9 train direction Burgdorf Gleis 10 train to Burgdorf. Both leave at 00:06. If we catch the wrong one we have to wait an hour. It's already 00:07 the train we have chosen does not leave. So we change the train quickly and luckily then Dann kicks 00: 008. No one cares about the customers who still sit in the wrong train (while I write). No track change announcement. Not SBB standards worthy, certainly Swiss standards. 0 stars but unfortunately deserves a star MUST give.

I moved to the hostel and wanted to see Bern for a while before going to the hostel. So I went looking for a coin locker to take care of the carrier and it was a bit complicated. When you get out of the train, you come to the building from the entrance (like a pedestrian bridge) in the middle of the platform. When you go into the building, you will see a building like WELEE 7, If you get off the train, you can find the coin locker sign in the history of the Berne station, not the overpass like a pedestrian crossing. You can find a blue coin locker room (Blue locker room of attached picture)

Nice, big, and clean train station with a shopping mall of its own. Lockers are available for around 8-10 CHF. The downtown is within walking distance from the station. Very comfortable to wait here.

The train station is really dark and it makes a dirty impression in my opinion. I do not even like to change here. The upcoming smoking ban is a big step towards recovery. He will never be brighter with the tracks.

A laundry, a hairdresser, shops, restaurants, clean toilets (IMPORTANT !! LOL) ... This station is sprawling but very well organized. The ubiquitous security gives a sense of security without being oppressive. We almost want to spend time there instead of getting on a train. Thumbs up ...

For me, Bern is the most beautiful city in Switzerland: beautiful old town, good public transport, most public buildings are within walking distance and the size is manageable - only 140,000 inhabitants! The Aare flows around 3/4 of it.

Traveling in Switzerland regardless of the season is always a pleasure. Today's trip is a few changes and there is no fear that something will fail. I'm going to the next city on my route, Basel, by express.

The Bern train station has a lot to offer. You can eat (Migros, Coop, div. Take-Aways, bakery, small restaurants, etc.), can shop and there are also many ways to buy reading material (direct access to Thalia). It has a large SBB ticket counter (long wait) but also various ticket machines. The new digital display is very modern and otherwise the station is new. Unfortunately, with Salt almost no cell phone reception in the platform, but because the station can not help it!

Well, major Swiss train station - trains to every corner of the country very often. Everything is well organized and we'll signposted, you can make transfer in 2 minutes with no problems.

An inadequate service for the daily inflow from Domodossola to Bern, with a couple of carriages that are often not very clean, always very full with a large part of passengers at the feet because the seats are too few, not to mention the many delays because "rightly" in the Swiss view the goods have precedence ..... in my opinion I would see a couple of things. The management that from Milan passing through the Sempione pass reached Bern .. it was much more efficient ....

I had the fate of having to frequent the Bern train station for years. It may have been a little better due to various changes, BUT, the station is much too dark (even in broad daylight) and the headroom (from floor to ceiling) is overwhelmingly small. The overhead lines are also attached there. Since smoking is still allowed everywhere on platforms in Switzerland, the air quality (due to the unfavorable spatial conditions) is usually very poor. For me and many, many others, Bern train station is the ugliest in the world!

Relatively straight-forward train station in Bern, very central to everything, which is great if you do a day trip from Zurich or elsewhere. Food options are okay, nothing amazing, but passable with some other shopping and a sitting area if you want to stay to eat. Not too big and all the trains are basically in the same place so not too hard to find your train.

Without a doubt the worst constructed train station in switzerland. Overpacked at basically any time and the delightful narrow platforms make you wonder who was in charge during construction. They say they want to overhaul the train station by 2025x better rip the entier thing down and start from scratch.

Switzerland is relatively busy with shops on Saturdays and Sundays, but the station is only available, and time is also crushed. Cleanliness and most trains come on time. I thought it was a wonderful station.

The most confusing station I've seen so far. The first time, I was sure I walked around 4 times when I was looking for the right exit for the direction I wanted to go. Meanwhile, I find my way around but the way the station was built is very unfavorable. The rails have an irregular distance to the platform, due to the curve. So you can enjoy some trains directly pleasantly austeigen and others fall almost off the train. The shops are fine and the nearby station Parking very convenient.

Very, very expensive train tickets, overflowing 2nd class wagons while 1st class is almost empty.Honestly, the elite doesn't ride trains, cut your 1st-class zones by ! Generally on time, however no 24h train service, not good for a so-called 1st-world-country. Also some of the ticket collectors talk to dark-skinned immigrants as if they were criminals when they clearly mistakenly got the wrong ticket with the right intentions.
