The station is clean, employees are helpful and the utilies are convenient. The seats are well placed and plentiful.
My only issue is that the train is a little slow with a maximum of 100kph and the windows are blocked off, and the seats cannot be reclined for comfort. For almost 4 hours ride, it would have been best to see through the windows to enjoy the view.
But overall, a satisfactory experience.

The trains may be a little dated, but it's a good and fast service for a reasonable amount. It is very clean and the staff seems friendly and professional. I wish their refreshments cart on the train would have a few more options.
Good but i hope there will be food being sold inside, not only coffee.
I totally enjoy using railways. But this time I was expecting social distancing due to pandemic and sadly it was not observed in the train

I was heading from Riyadh to Hofuf for the first time using train. Riyadh railway station was very neat and clean and in Hofuf there were some construction works going on. I booked my tickets a couple of days before through their application which can be found in both App Store and google play, search for SRO and book the tickets ahead as it could run out of tickets very soon specially during this COVID seasons as they always leave the seat next to you empty as a protective measure.
Be at least 15-20 minutes before the departure time at the correct terminal
Train tickets were very much affordable and cheap, I had to travel using second class, first class was full and there were no seats available, there was a guy passing twice the entire journey selling cold and hot beverages and some snacks.
Overall it was a good experience
