I was referred this attorney by my husband's friend. My thirteen year old daughter was involved in a accident on the Metro after leaving school on 02/19. The person who was at fault for the accident didn't have insurance so the attorney informed me that I could make a claim through my insurance, which I wasn't aware of. Long story short, my insurance company ultimately settled the claim. Through the whole process this attorney (Bill) and I never discussed his cost. All of our communications were through emails, which I still have. At the settlement phase on or about 03/20 he then told me his price. I thought that was odd, considering he is an attorney and he knows that's not right nor professional. He literally waited until my insurance company was willing to settle before he informed me of his cost for services. I believe the cost is something that should be discussed at the beginning so that way a person has the choice of whether or not they want to utilize their services or find someone else. I feel his actions were very unprofessional and is a bully tactic that some attorneys use. In addition, his calulations were incorrect on the net amount my daughter would receive. Once I mention that, he indeed told me I was correct. I just feel Bill's actions were unprofessional and very insulting considering how long he has been practicing law. I will never patronize this business and wouldn't recommend him.
