The reason I gave this campground a 3 star review is because the sites were a little tight and no privacy. However the beach is very nice, the owners are very nice, accommodating and very knowledgeable. and it is a very family friendly campground with a lot of regulars that are very kind. I would return and recommend because to me the pros outweigh the cons. I hope this helps ! 3.5 star!

Does anyone pick up the phone or respond to emails around here? I ve only called 5 different occasions/emailed and facebooked. Not going to bother wasting anymore time. Good luck trying to book a site or find out any information on this place.!
It s not a attractive campground but does function well. Very limited amount of picnic tables and they are ready to fall apart. Bathrooms are clean. Staff are very polite and nice. Price per night changes based on who is running the booth. Beach is very nice to relax and swim at. Very boat friendly place. The people staying here are very respectful and Noise levels are kept to a minimum. The store is rarely open. I would return here again.
We are currently here and the people running the place are clueless. The campsites are not clearly marked. We are paying for 20 amp power and can only use 15 amp power and the breaker keeps blowing. The noise tonight is incredibly loud. I'm sure we won't be getting much sleep tonight. Definitely disappointed and won't be back anytime soon. Which it too bad as we did really like this place.
Campground is crowded very close to each other. They have full hookups. They provide fire rings also. Washroom is outdated but important is clean. But the BEACH is awesome. Sandy white beach it is private beach and i like that there is no so much people unlike other beach. They don't allowed house boat on the area.

Stayed here for three nights, and unlike some of the negative reviews, we didn't come across many of said problems. Campsite is right at the beach which is very beautiful and convenient, and even though there was an algae bloom, that isn't their fault. The women's bathroom is a little dated, but were always clean, except for some mud that people would bring in on their flip flops. There was enough hand soap and extra hand sanitizer bottles. Sites are smaller, but were clean and had enough space for camping in tents and parking your car. Our spot didn't have water or power, but if you bring a large battery pack you'll be fine, and there are water taps close to every site. We never had anything go missing as we would leave for several hours at a time to site see around the Shuswap, so the campsite is safe
Rustic campground with power, water and septic service. Great beach. New web sandyptcampground.ca as it is under new management The beach is the jewel and the warm water. Beautiful sand.
