Location is OK. we had reservation but they only had one room ready when we arrived and made us wait almost 2 hours for the second room. The rooms are decent and clean only complaints would be there was no trash cans available for us and the heater couldn't be on without making cracking sounds. Overall good place tho

Very disappointed, rooms were dirty. Took almost 3 hrs to get more towels. Could only get hot water by using the sink and shower water at the same time. Trash was not emptied and I have a toddler. But hey the casino was great !

Room are bad and sink was broken and so was the AC. The dealers were horrible I well never go there again. I been going there for 5 year most of the dealers know me but so dont care. Go to the GSR they give you free rooms just like the sands and way better atmosphere.

The one thing I was looking forward to is a nice hot bath. The bathtub was cored in gross gunk. So tired that I didn't want to go downstairs to complain. I told the guy I was checking out with and he made it a point to tell me that it was my fault for not letting them know about it so that they could have given me a cleaner room. Seriously never staying there again.

Customer service is good, staff is friendly. The room is ok, pretty basic and could use some upgrades. There is a giant crack in the ceiling and no fridge or microwave in the rooms. The ice machines are pretty gross looking. If your not spending much time in the rooms it's not a bad place to crash.

Went there to have Christmas dinner with my kids. The food selections aren't that great but decent enough. Gumbo soup is bland. Prime rib is decent, would be better if they have someone who can slice a piece evenly. Dessert bar is decent just because they have the soft ice cream machine to fall back on.

The room was way out dated and the beds are beyond uncomfortable. I had back pain so bad for the next 2 days. There was no fan in the bathroom which caused the bathroom to have mold on the ceiling and a couple other places Our T.V. remote wasn't in the room, we called to have one brought up and the gentleman brought it up fairly quick but when we open the door he just walked right in. He went to show us how to use the remote which then we found out the TV wasn't working he called someone else to help out then they found out that they were going to have to replace a TV this all being at 1 in the morning we just wanted then said let's do this later. They did however come back to tell us that we could change rooms so we can have a working TV since the brand new one in our room wasn't working which was super nice I appreciated that however we had already unpacked and the TV wasn't that important. The next day after coming back to a room I decided to go look behind the TV and I found the problem it was able to fix it then the remote that they had brought up didn't work it wouldn't change anything or just turn the TV on and off. The staff was very nice very welcoming but if I had to come back to Reno the Sands is not where I would stay again.

Was only there for one night. Didn't gamble, but Mel's diner was delicious. I got the grilled ham and cheese. The rooms seemed old, but they were adequate. The hand soap was surprisingly nice, since some hotels' hand soap is strangely hard to lather effectively.

Best hotel and casino off the strip. Chill low-key atmosphere. Love coming back here. Great promotions and food options. Devin, at the Pipeline Bar, is such a delight, he had just started when we last stayed, now is chill and professional.

I went to the Sands to eat at Mel's Dinner. My experience was pleasant I played several machines and was asked several times if I needed anything by the waitress. The food at Mel's was very good and the service was decent. Based on my experience I would go back to the Sands.

Good restaurants , & fun slot machines. I also play some table games , minimum seems to be lower than the bigger casinos , we (my daughter & I ), have to come to the Sands to play each time we come to Reno ( usually twice a year ) .

We recieved a good deal on the room which was nice. The room was ok. There was no fan in the bathroom so there was mold forming in the corners. There was no comforters on the beds which was odd. There was a large biker convention and they thought it was cool to rev their bike all day and night setting off car alarms and waking us up. It would have been nice if the casino had made them keep it to a dull roar.

Rooms were dirty, and it smelled of a dead skunk. the best part, housekeeper walked into our room. And we were not dressed we were getting ready for the day. Most of the machines the buttons don't work. The only good thing I have to say about this the bartender was amazing.

I've stayed at every hotel in Reno. This one was Priceline's deal and was reasonable on a weekend when normal prices have been jacked x 5 because of a local event. Oh. My. God. We came in through the back accidentally. The casino was like a scene from Star Wars. Never have I experienced anything remotely like it. The air was visibly filled with cigarette smoke, and we walked through a sordid mess of humanity to reach the front desk. Homeless people, mentally ill folks, hookers who've seen better days...it was appalling. Truly. We ended up having to pay additional money for our room, despite having paid the fee already with Priceline. The girl at the front desk told us to "work it out with" them. Our room was fine. Not great, but acceptable. Sadly. Though, the mass of humanity I mentioned earlier migrated outside during the night, and awakened us screaming at 3 in the morning. Don't stay here. I never will again.

17 floor corner suite BREAK IN.

17 floor corner suite BREAK IN.
On Saturday 11-10-2018.
Between 10:17pm and 1am. Our room was accessed and many items were stolen totaling over 3k. American dollars. Clothes, jewelry. Warm jackets. Make-up. The staff was zero help. We have filed a police report. We will inform as many people as possible of our experience so they can make a better travel arrangement in the future. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THE SANDS REGENCY CASINO, ever again.

They have changed ownership I heard a few times. Since our last visit last year its alot nicer. New chairs for gambling and new machines. The hotel rooms are cleaner. They added mini fridges in the rooms no need for the ice chest which was great. They did lock the windows in the hotel rooms so you can crack them and being in a smoking room it was a downfall the smoke just lingers and cant get the fresh breeze even tho it was only 2 inches we could crack last year it really made a difference. I also I liked how they had bottles of the bathroom supplies that all hotel guests could use when they are staying so helps with population. They were glued to the shower wall and the counter. Which reminds me the shower watcher pressure was awsome it was like getting a back massage and hot water was so realizing.

We were there for a 50th Wedding Anniversary for my in-laws just for 1 night. Our room was very clean and we had wonderful service. From the Anniversary party in the ballroom/dinner to the Casino and all the extras, we had A+ service from all of the staff. Any question I asked, there staff was able to answer and guide me to the proper information. Customer service was perfect. We would stay there again in the future . Thanks for a wonderful experience. Great Job.

After years of staying at the sands in Reno a new owner has taken over. There has been a lot of good changes and updates but we were very disappointed in some of the changes. For instance we have been members of their players club for years and had accumulated lots of points, but when we got new cards, which signs all over suggested we do, all of our points we had accumulated were taken away and we were told you loose if you don't use them every six months. We live 600 miles away and don't get here every six months. Also the senior discounts weren't given us even there still signs saying they were available. The rooms were nice, but the casino just isn't as inviting as it once was. thanks
