We enjoyed our week stay at Better at the Beach. Wanted a place that you could just walk out your door and into the surf. This was it. Plus / minus is that it is at the end of the street. People turn around about 10 times a day. Others believe that since it is a dead end that they can park on the beach there, even with all the NO PARKING AT ANYTIME signs. Would be nice to have an umbrella upstairs due to no shade, but you can just stay downstairs. Love the tall beach chairs. Very comfortable and heavy. We would book this place again next year.

This house was the perfect location, right on the beach. They had plenty of outside chairs and tables for the whole family. The house inside was very spacious, the number of restrooms was a plus as well. I only give it 4 stars because all the downstairs beds had very hard uncomfortable mattresses. The blankets, sheets pillow very nice, but the mattress were horrible. they definitely need to be upgraded. The loft upstairs had a great mattress. None of the less, I do recommend this place to others. Maybe its the old age, lol but I just couldn't deal with the mattress.

Absolutely ridiculous!! I'm 34 years old and I used this company for the very first time of renting a beach house. 2,000 dollars for 4 nights to arrive to anunmaintained yard with floats everywhere and wood pieces thrown all over the walk way and on the garage parking ground,multiple walls are warped of water damage in the house.The trash cans had no trash bags( yet they are concerned about the beach),there was urine and mold around the main bathroom toiler, hair on the shower walls and dust growing on the the TV's and lights. To top it all off, I had the police knocking on my door at 8pm saying that the BBQ pit needed to be removed downstairs. Hell, I didn't even put it there! It was on the second level when I arrived at the unit!! ANOTHER officer arrived an HR later and said company had to leave by 10??!! Are you kidding me? It's 4th of July weekend. I had family trave HOURS to visit me and I had to run them off. I understand that the home sleeps 8, so does visitors count THAT ARE NOT STAYING? Jeez, it was barely 10. The officer then comes by AGAIN and says the nieghbors are saying that there is a quote "raging party" of about 50 people???? I said are you joking?? I opened the door for him to see and physically count my 15 family members children included. He said 10pm is the curfew and that I had an HR to get them gone and that he would be back to count again. This isn't a good way of business. I lit my BBQ pit at 9pm, we ate late and were trying to enjoy the evening. Our music wasn't loud,we weren't being loud nor destroying property. It was EXTREMELY uncalled for and EMBARRASSING NEVER AGAIN.

This was the 2nd time that we've rented Call Me the Breeze with Sand N Sea and we have enjoyed the home both times. A covered deck is important to us and this house has a sizable one, which allows us to sit outside and take in the ocean and breeze. The kitchen is well stocked and the living room has enough room for all the family. The rooms are spacious enough for us, and we like that the house has 2 stairways to the bottom floor. It's not a relatively new house but it's been taken care of, mostly, and it has a homey feel. I've been renting from Sand n Sea for over 15 years and enjoy what the company offers, very professional.

We have been renting through Sand n Sea for years, and I honestly have never had a bad experience. Our latest vacation at Coastal Retreat for spring break was perfect (well, minus the somehwat unpredictable Galveston weather!) The house was exactly as advertised on the website, immaculately clean, and perfect for our group. A very nice downstairs living space as well as plenty of room upstairs for the teenagers to spread out, spacious master room and bath, and we LOVE that we can bring our dog with us! Also, Sand n Sea were crazy busy trying to repair damages from the recent freeze, and they were able to have the house ready for us on time and were very communicative before our arrival. I was impressed, considering how many properties they were having to manage and repair before spring break crowds hit! We will definitely continue to do business with them (our next trip is planned for June!)

Amazing View is a disaster from the structural integrity down to the pet paw prints all over the dinner table. Fridge and ice maker was hairy with mold. Maintenance had to come bring Ice and put covers on the exposed outlets. Cleaning services had to come clean it was absolutely gross. Vents falling out of the ceiling, wholes patched but in painted, trim falling off the doorways and window areas in the living room. I was leased this property under pretense it had pool access & when we showed to pick up the pool key (and extra 100$ deposit) we were told residents only not renters. So in short the bad experience started with Sand n Sea leasing me the home knowing I wouldn t have access. I paid 1300$ then 500$ deposit. I was refunded 1000$ within hrs of sending photos to the manager of Sand n Sea it was that bad! Also found two, 4 ft rattle snakes in the yard.. Amazing EW!

We like Sand N Sea and always check there first when looking for a beach rental. The reservation process is easy, the pricing is straightforward, and the website is easy to navigate. And the Beach Club loyalty program occasionally surprises us with a free weekend rental.

Our most recent rental was "Waterfront Cottage" which is a small house but makes good use of the space - 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. (There's no tub, just a shower). You won't find a lot of games, books or clutter, and you won't find any beach toys or chairs in a downstairs storage room - because there isn't one. What you do get is close up, unobstructed beachfront views and easy access to the beach at a reasonable price.

Pet Friendly, too!

Perfect house in the perfect location. Private beach just steps from water Lots if extras in kitchen. We had a problem with the dish washer and called them. They immediately had a repairman come over. He had to order a part to fix it so he went and bought 2 large bags of paper plates napkins bowls and cutlery. We were there for 5 days and they called us twice just to make sure everything was fine

Sand 'N Sea had the best inventory of beach rental homes competitively priced among competitors, Airbnb, and VRBO! We loved our beach home, the direct access to beach, and the views from spacious and open living spaces, porches, and yard (even on inclement weather days)! Our home was wonderfully and tastefully decorated. We hope to return again soon.

This is our second time to book with SandnSea, and we intend to use them as often as we visit Galveston. Their customer service is without compare, and they communicate the values of a local business focused on making a visit to Galveston one to remember.
