Web site down, could not find open hours.

Called, first nurses station did not know if xx was a patient. Transferred. asked if xx was a patient. "We cannot give out that information", and hang up.

Drove to facility, only to find very short visiting hours on Sat (as I remember, 11 to 3)

They may have good facility ratings, but are cold to visitors. I would not stay there.

I used to work here. The cook in the kitchen bullies the whole facility, management included. For some reason, she also has a problem with pregnant women. I had to go to the ER once while I was working with her because I was having premature contractions due to high stress. This cook knows how to kiss up to management to get her way. It s no wonder their kitchen staff has such high turnover. It s like high school. The front desk staff is also very rude in person and on the phone. I wouldn t send anyone here to work or for assisted care. They probably would get the dirty spoon award also.

I would not recommend this place to anyone I am not happy at all with what I have witnessed here with patents being stuck sitting in there urine and stool for hours, not bathing them for a week or changing there clothes. Poor service and some of the nurses wont respond to your questions on what medicines your family member has taken. I feel the patients are neglected on everything I have seen, and some of the stuff that I hear from the patients yelling out when they see a new face its very disturbing. This place needs to be investigated in my opinion for all patients not just my family members.

My mother spent almost a month here in the Skilled Nursing section of The Sanctuary after a heart attack. Then later, when my father needed a skilled nursing facility after a stroke, we made sure to request The Sanctuary again since our previous experience was so good. The rooms are really nice with a microwave and refrigerator, there are pictures on the walls, and it is like a little mini apartment. Very cozy. The staff is very caring and wonderful to deal with and have patiently dealt with my many questions each time. Everyone we have dealt with so far - nurses, aids, PT's, OT's, dietitians, the Social Worker, Activity staff, even the cleaning staff - have been really nice.
Perhaps the previous review was poor in part because of patient confidentiality. I don't think they are allowed to say whether a certain person is there or not. But I'm not sure. But they definitely should not have hung up on someone. The visiting hours are rather short but if you have family there, those hours are not enforced. We can visit pretty much anytime within reason.
My experience with both parents there at different times has been really good and I highly recommend this facility.
I checked out several others and just don't feel that any others even come close to comparing.

It is a smaller facility but the staff are very warm. When I came in I saw the Staff them talking with the residents engaging with them. Some places look super fancy but only feel cold. I saw residents smiling and laughing when talking to the staff. That is a major plus in my book
