San Mateo County Library Review

RE: Pnoyguitar review - THIS PERSON S REVIEW IS ABOUT SAN MATEO PUBLIC LIBRARY NOT HILLSDALE LIBRARY - Hillsdale library has one level, not three and no private rooms for studying. (And SM library is crazy loud and not managed too well either).

Best library in my area. No noises. No children. They used to have a coffee store like starbucks on the 3rd floor. That used to be noise area. 1st and 2nd floor is quiet for people who likes to study. They even have private rooms for group discussions. I study outside the 3rd floor .

Hillsdale Library is a nice, little library but too noisy :( And no one monitors any noise really. People talk normally and it feels like a daycare/cafe a lot of the time. Still like coming here, but it (management/librarians) need to be more strict.

Every body talks here . I asked them couple of times to be quiet but no one payed attention . Horrible place to study it looks like arcade .

Librarians were so friendly. Clean and cozy environment. Three-hour free use of internet-connecting computer. $0.45-worth daily free printing quota (3 pages). What else can I say? It's so wonderful!

Librarian maynard ewing was very useless in keeping any sort of peace in the library. Very obnoxious space with no space designated for work since all tables are in the kids section. Would really recomend some new policies here for allowing a quiet study area. Also the story time thing is weird and obnoxious. Send your kids to day care not the library. People need a library to get work done and have quiet study space. This is way out of line for tax payer dollars. Hours are really short as well centered around after school activities for kids. Very obnoxious that this town has found a way to have tax payer daycare. Crazy stuff

So friendly. Amazing place and excellent services people.
