What's not to like about the Main Library? Plenty! The Main is San Francisco's unofficial day shelter for the residentially challenged. The men's restrooms are absolutely disgusting with the constant smell of ancient urine, vomit, feces, you get the picture.
I have witnessed fights break out in the restroom involving weapons. One time watched a.patron attack another patron over who was supposed to be next on the express computer line. Witnessed degenerate pedophiles watching photos of naked children on library computer screens while library employees simply look the other way.
I could keep going, but this would turn into a War and Peace monstrosity. Stay away from the Main, pretty much all the other San Francisco Library branches are pretty good and definitely worth visiting. The Main is a definite eyesore on what is otherwise a great library system.
