Great venue. Brilliant dance company. FTR, I only go here for the San Francisco Ballet, not opera. If you like dance and ballet, you will never be disappointed by the SF Ballet.

Large opulent venue to enjoy opera and ballet. Confusing floor plan, but reliable, friendly ushers are there to help.

A wonderful place to see the ballet, nice Staff, everything is super clean. Go see a show!

Beautiful location for both ballet and opera. I usiLly skip the parking lot and park around Hayes valley

The show was amazing the staff is so helpful. The bathroom was something out of the movies very nice. The performers was fantastic.

Rigoletto was very inspiring. I was very impressed by the care they put on every costume.

Hamilton, as most of you know by now is a GREAT show. I would watch it thrice(3 times)!

I have to say I wanted to see what an opera was like. I really enjoy watching musicals at the ACT and SHN theater company. An opera is a completely different experience and not every opera will be my thing. We watched Delores Clayborne which is an adaption of a Stephen King novel. I really wished I liked this, but I didn't. It was just the characters that didn't work for me. The facilities is absolutely beautiful. Maybe I'll try something else like Moby Dick or more of a classical theme.

Lovely opera house, and this year a very fun program. A bit on the expensive side, but then again this is Bay Area :-)

Went to the matinee on Sunday, great time. Loved the two performances.

I ve had a subscription to the Ballet for quite a few years now. Couldn t ask for a better treat to look forward to every year.

Being a great opera lover I found the experience mixed. Non-air-conditioned place ... oven heat. Uncomfortable seats. And the opera (Carmen) had been cut from its original version

Watched Rigoletto--Amazing performers, not so great acoustics. Although I didn't purchase fancy seats, i expected phenomenal acoustics all the way to balcony (I've been to many opera houses) Only if I had known, I would've invested more. They allow drinks with lids which is a plus (I don't get why people are still coughing..water should help!) Beautiful building regardless

Nice view and good sound in the cheap seats. Down side is cramped legs and it can get quite warm. The aluminum chandelier in the center is both interesting and very period. After the 1989 earthquake they had netting over the ceiling to protect against any large dropping elements. The ceiling color after the retrofit/remodel is definitely a better shade. Sets off chandelier better too. The air flow also got a step up.

Go there it's World class Opera and hold up to the Met, la Scala..or Covenant Garden
