Nice park inside Golden Gate Park, I've been to San Francisco before and even gone into the park but I missed this place. It's a beautiful park with a lot of different species of plants and trees.

I liked the Sequoia part since I'm a big fan of Muir Woods north of San Francisco.

Will go back here for sure!

This is my go to place to relax. Breathe the fresh air. See and learn about new plants. Let my kids run around and explore. My hubby loves it here too. It s really really relaxing! Picnics on the grass and lots of space to run for the kids, walk. Plus lots of fishes and geese haha. Just be careful with the geese, you just never know.

Love this part of Golden Gate Park but we like to go mid-week. It can be very crowded on weekends, with limited parking, especially when there are events. And best of all, it's free for SF residents.

Located in admission free Golden Gate Park. The arboretum has fee for non-San Francisco residents. A great place for a stroll and picnic on a clear sunny day. There is a pond enjoyed of various generations. The arboretum showcases plants from different parts of the world. And if you are limited in time and want to see redwood trees without travelling far, this is the place.

The carnival of color, smell and vibrant fantasy decorates the space of the San Francisco Botanical Garden (also known as Strybing Arboretum). As part of the memorable Golden Gate Park, the 55-acre site spans San Francisco and lays the foundation for the symphony of plants, flowers and trees, sharing the natural sound of roaring with the public. Visit this magical green plant show, including more than 7,500 plants from around the world. Therefore, the San Francisco Botanical Garden is the largest botanical garden on the West Coast.

It was such a treat visiting the garden during the peak of the magnolia blooms. There are so many trails throughout the garden. Each time I visit, it feels like a new experience. It s also a treat that San Francisco residents get in for free :) Be sure to bring proof of address with you!

This place is like Heaven! You can enjoy walking through the flowers and trees throughout the year. There are many plants and trees originated from other countries along the path, and you feel walking on foreign land.

One of the nicest botanical gardens in America. The New Zealand and South African collections are especially extensive. Don't miss the primitive plants boardwalk for a fine collection of ferns, gymnosperms and ancient flowering plants.

Wow. What a place. Its huge and has specimens from so many different regions of the world. You can go from redwoods to an Asia cloud forest in 2 minutes, to amazing African flowers. 2nd Tuesday of every month is free admission, but its less than $10 dollars anyway on other days. If you re near golden gate park you should experience this garden.

It is a pity to organize an event, to put no schedule online, and once we are in the place you tell to people that it is closed... :-( Especially that I was visiting from France and I was interested in buying cacti.
Also, I got different information: one person was telling me that they had to close earlier because they were having no cacti anymore, another person that it's just like that. And I also saw that the room was full of cacti. That made me not visit the garden, but unfortunately made me loose 2h of my day to come and go back...

Very beautiful park with a great variety. Nicely organized. Spotted a wild fox in the redwood section. 2nd Tuesday of every month - free admission. Randomly scored on that as I was in San Francisco for 5 days only.
