San Dimas Canyon Golf Course Review

We had a luncheon in the clubhouse and the food was wonderful and the service great too.

Worst customer service ever! Their GM Trip Stevens demanded to charge me to go back on the course to retrieve a club I left behind. Bad form!

This is a great golf course I like. Some of the holes was designed too narrow due to the environment but overall I like it. Very challenge

Good day out. Haven't played in a while, but came here because it's consistently well kept and it's hills, bends, and trees keep it interesting.

Would give it 3.5 if I could. Not a bad course for public. Good lunch deal. Carts in need of repair, pedal didn t make contact and had to restart.

The course is very forgiving on most holes because holes are next to each other. Often had other players balls end up on our fairways. Greens were very big and in good shape. The driving range is more akin to a batting cage with a net over the top and extremely short with terrible mats. It is literally only to warm up. The carts have GPS built in giving yardage and showing the next group on the screen as well which helped know when to hit your next shot. This would also be a great course to walk. Only gave a four because of the driving range. Also, the location can be hot in summer and windy at times.

Nice course. It's in great shape and a challenge for every type of golfer.

Greens were running great for a public course ! About 9 flat .

I had my waterpolo banquet here and it looked fabulous just wish the food tasted better but other then that it was a joy.

Played in a scramble tournament today and the course is in great shape. Buffet food was decent, nothing special. $5 for a12oz can of beer is on the high end. Place of play was slow, around 5.5 hours but don't count that against the course. Overall, a good experience.

Play there every week and could not be
treated nicer.

Love the location, tough course for all levels of play.

This is an excellent place for a wedding with a beautiful grassy lawn perfect for an altar. Excellent views and adequate parking.

Was there for our men's tournament, scheduled for 10 o'clock. They sent kept sending out five somes ahead of us and it took 5:45 minutes to finish the round. Last time playing there.

Just had Jillian's golf banquet here. The course it's beautiful and the clubhouse is terrific. Great place.

Enjoyed playing here. Nice course. Would like to play here again.

Greens are always tended nicely. Not super difficult, and I'm a beginner.

Celebrated a 80th Birthday Party for a very DEAR friend. Settings and food were excellent.

I played here several times and always have a great time. Some holes are really tricky. To get a good score, just lay down some ambition and split the strokes; sometime regulation on green is just too hard. The course is not 100% well maintained but good enough for a good round. Out there in the canyon you can see some beautiful sceneries and gorgeous sunset if you play the twilight. Deers would take over the course in late afternoon early evenings.

I was impressed with the maintenance of this course today. All around us was the color of lush green. The fairways and greens are well manicured. I can't wait to get back for another 18.

I thought the course was in really good shape but I wish they would have told us that the greens was sanded that takes away from the game but it's still a really good deal and the course layout is very nice and fair

Not in very good condition, a few fairways are pretty rough. Other than that, it is nice.

Had such a bad experience with a with this golf course Will never ever play here it was very stressful and uncomfortable to play
Staff was very stressing and we wanted golf carts they will not allow you to have golf carts 43 golfers you are allowed to have only 2 carts so they force you to have one golfer to walk and staff don't seem to care.....
I have been around alot of golf courses this one today was most horrible and stressful ever

Courses that put singles, between a 5 some, and a 4 some, should get it together. Not worth the drive, or money, to be mismanaged. They also argued over a $25 refund, after admitting their mistake. DO NOT GOLF HERE AS A SINGLE!

Greens and fairways are well kept. Very nice public course. They hosted a great Octoberfest event. Great golf. Great beer. prost!

One of my favorite courses to play. It's in good shape and the course offer great deals. Oh yeah baby the scenery and the wild life are beautiful.

Gets very hot under the San Gabriel mountains. Good value.

Too crowd all the times that we played however it is a little bit of challengable and fun to play for over the 20 over handicappers.

My famiky had a service here and half the room was being set up for a wedding ( extremely rude) and a piece of drywall fell down from the ceiling on to my cousin do not recommend having anything here

Nice course well maintained. Friendly staff. Good pricing for 18 holes. Will play this course again as it has both value and a challenge.

First time at this course. All the personnel were friendly and helpful in getting off. Course was in very good shape, it wasn't crowded and fairly inexpensive. $60 something for 2 in a cart. This is going to be our go to golf course.

Played yesterday, 07/11/2013, and the course was in great shape. The course was wide open, which was a refreshing change for San Dimas Canyon because it's usually pretty packed. I felt I was playing better than my score reflected, but isn't that usually the case ;-)

There were too many people, we were there almost 5 hours.

Went to neices wedding here. It was nice. Veiw great. However, restrooms we're not stocked at all from the beginning of event And not really clean either.

This is a great experience! Live animals and birds of prey. I brought my granddaughter to the park, and found this nature center here. She is so exited. Enjoy

It was nice kept up and not crowded. The clubhouse was cool and the drinks were reasonable.

Good condition, excellent greens, great value for seniors.

Fantastic public course with a private club feel. The layout is fantastic and will challenge all skill levels. Only problem is the condition of the Greens at certain times. Other than that, a fantastic course!

The course is great shape. The staff was friendly and professional.

Great course layout and conditions my only problem with this place is that I was paying 2min before tee time was on the first tee 1 min past tee time and they made me skip the first hole and the 2 some they paired me with they let play the first while I had to sit and wait at hole #2, I paid for 18 not 17.

Good place to have a wedding or birthday party. Very nice place. Friendly staff. The reception hall has pretty chandeliers.

Nice course. Some tricky holes, but mostly fair. The fairways appear narrow, but surprisingly very playable. Greens are somewhat fast. Nice and friendly staff. Reasonable rates (weekday).

Update: Nov 2018
Finally flags are planted in more reasonable spots on the green. The greens are curing well and playing smoothly.
Now if the tee boxes can be fixed to be somewhat flat...

Short and narrow, very enjoyable layout. Some inherent design problems like fairways to close to each other but that's natural due to the space available. A big fixable problem that's been persistent there is the hole locations-the person who places the flags very obviously doesn't care or doesn't play golf, placing flags right at the edge of a unstoppable slope down, and it's really unstoppable even when you're putting up from 10 feet, and putting down is an adventure.
I've seen good putters 4 putt in these greens all the time, which breaks the rhythm and crashes a fun round.
Unfortunately I don't think management cares because many have complained and not much has been done about that... Except one time they did move a flag in a par 3 because so many complained and it was just the second green.

Nice relaxed atmosphere with well maintained greens at the moment. Got in for the twilight rates on a Friday and it was not too crowded at all. Good way to end the week and very pleasant staff.

Beautiful Golf Course!! It's in the best shape I've seen it in years right now.

As southern California courses go, its a nice little track! Fantastic staff! Gatehouse, starter, bar staff were fantastic! Only 4/5 stars due to painfully slow play. Weekends Munis should NEVER allow twosomes.
