Went through boot camp in 1965 .I enjoyed the experience,and was proud to wear the uniform of our country. I am a Viet Nan veteran,and miss the comaradie of my fellow sailors.

A highly revered place with amazing military personnel.

The base has several amenities including gyms, liberty center and a 24 hour NEX, rating 2 stars because traffic is the absolute worst experience imaginable when it comes to parking

Much more laid back than Norfolk Naval Base. Free movie theater, decent laundry facility.

Decent base with a good galley and a few things around to do. If you don't have transportation you'll have to rely on ridesharing / the trolley. Distance from things to do isn't the greatest
