As a donor, I have been very impressed by the transparency and integrity of Samaritan's Purse. They seem to be very committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world while also helping those in crisis/need in the name of Jesus. I highly recommend them and hope that God continues to bless their ministry and that they will continue to be rooted and grounded in the Word and take their fiduciary responsibilities very seriously.

Samaritan's Purse and Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry is an amazing endeavor headed by Franklin Graham. The entire operation has a firm kindness that far reaches hearts across and around this world. As a volunteer my heart is full. But there is more than packing and giving, though that is the beginning of something far bigger. Seeing souls be reached through OCC as reported in Decision, knowing these shoeboxes open doors to share the gospel and love as Jesus loves. It is a blessing to work in one of the packing centers. I volunteered in Boone, N.C. The excitement begins when you first enter the center's welcoming area. Joining others for an orientation. I put on my Santa hat and went to work. My job was to work the line, check boxes as we were trained for completeness..leaving the integrity of each box.. taping it closed and send for pick up and further processing. The processing is FUN! I did not want to leave my station, not even for a break. We were called to stop for prayer. Now this was touching, to know the boxes were headed to children here in America and around the world! We checked boxes, prayed over boxes, counted boxes, passed them down for the final pack. Now sometimes an item had to be sent to the "hospital" for brokenness, or to the "Inappropriate" booth. And sometimes we found an unfilled box. In that case we would add from the trough of toys and items. Oh the sight of seeing this Operation take place! People, singles, couples, families, groups....all working together for one common goal! To glorify our Father by reaching out, packing up, and going where He sends.
I'm telling you who read this comment: if you have the opportunity to volunteer in a processing center JUST DO IT!
In any case, let's fill up those shoeboxes. Don't forget the WOW item for each box and your check to help deliver the boxes and be a part of the greatest journey!
Beautiful venue for an exceptional charitable organization. We are blessed and very fortunate to have friends that work there to help support this Noble mission.
I was impressed with the cleanliness of the buildings, and the beauty of the area. I, as a supporter of Samaritans Purse since it's inception was disappointed in the people at the front desk!? The Security guard informed me that I could not afford a home in the area, when we retire, the woman on the phone, was not as gracious in person, as when I call. How do they know what I can and cannot afford? I had intended to leave our home to Samaritans Purse when we die, we have no children. However, I am praying about that now, I was truly disappointed in my unexpected visit. The Graham family were not there, so don't blame them for their employees.
I spent part of a day here helping pack Operation Christmas Child boxes going to Madagascar. I was with my church group, but I saw other groups, including businesses, working to make a child's life happier. The environment is encouraging, and the cafeteria food is great.
These folks respond to people's needs globally ranging from natural disasters like tsunamis, tornados and hurricanes to school shootings here in the US. They help people with their physical, emotional and spiritual needs, bringing people to witness the love of Jesus while giving all the glory to God. If they used 50% of what I give to do all that it would be worth it. How much is one life, one soul saved worth?
I had a wonderful time of fellowship with many people of like hearts. A willingness to come together and do team work for a great cause. They are well organized each parts important. It was a great blessing. Go if you get the chance. You will be blessed indeed.
I've enjoyed volunteering with Operation Christmas Child over the past 20+ years. It's always meaningful to help pack shoeboxes for children all over the world!
If you have never visited, I suggest you do one million times!! What an amazing way to be a part of spreading the Gospel and serving with other believers.
Although they help many people, I cant help but wonder how much of our donations go towards their massive complex, and expensive purchases. Such as the Blowing Rock Theater?
This place is amazing. I eat lunch here at least once a month with my friends and parents that work there. Wonderful people following a wonderful God named Jesus.
My church group went on a tour which was quite informative. Samaritan's Purse is involved in helping people in many ways. They have a great disaster relief ministry, they shared their strategy for Christmas Shoe Boxes. The location of their headquarters is quite beautiful.
They bored me.In all Job adverts they list as a requirement you "must have a Vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ" hence this is DISCRIMINATION towards other religions. SO it means if I dont have a relationship with Christ I can not do the Job????
Wolves in sheep's clothing, Pharisees, hypocrites, false teachers, Trump cultists, fetus-worshipers, tax-exempt business empire. "Depart from me, ye who work iniquity." "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven."
Amazing! I mean if you want to serve and do it with friends or alone even so this! It is such a inspiration! Its amazing how they do what they do for all those children! We had a amazing time and anyone out there needs to do this!
