We've really enjoyed working with Guy Russell at Salter Rex. Interestingly, the vendor chose him again having had him sell a previous property: always a good sign. He's been straightforward, diligent and all round nice to deal with: highly recommended.
Extremely terrible I can t even begin to explain. Unresponsive, rude and unhelpful. We were going to take legal action against but they managed to work their way around taking responsibility when it very clearly was their job to help us. Stay away not worth the hassle under any circumstances

Really bad management. Over 6 months and thousands of pounds to fix a simple intercom.. Repair works over 4 years late and over budget. Forced to pay for multiple dodgy insurances (including "terrorism insurance"). They don't ask for payment but threaten you with legal action. This is exactly how a racket business operates. Stay away.

they demanded money for works to be done , 1 year later not even a start date then they used my money to pay the other residents in the blocks service charge and I did not get it back

I have wanted to write this review even before we went to view the property with Guy and Wilson at Salter Rex Kentish Town because of the positive experience I have had speaking to them on the phone prior to my viewing. I have never met any estate agents like them before and it was an absolute pleasure working with them; and I recommend them whole heartedly.
It is not enough to just mention how professional, knowledgable and helpful Guy and Wilson have been from the first phone call to even after they have handed us the keys to our dream home. They are two outstanding and lovely individuals at the top of their game. Not only have they helped us in purchasing our dream family home, we have walked away with really fond memories of our viewings, offer and completion process during a pandemic no less; and not many people can say that. They were honest and knowledgable when we had questions, they were fair and integral when we encountered any issues and they were helpful and friendly when we needed their help. They were even a big hit with our 2 small kids who just thought they were the best whenever we visited the property.
Thank you Guy and Wilson. We really appreciated your help in making the purchase and completion of our home as smooth and happy as possible in what is meant to be normally a fairly stressful process not to mention in such challenging times.

Very bad management.Lift constantly out of service with building with 9 floors , break every week never pick up the phone especially in emergency when elderly people have to walk up and mums with a pushchair even in one week without lift. More concerns with harassing parents with CCTV recording how they children playing outside!!!! Never approached in my life such a bad management

We had the worst experience renting a 1 bed flat on estelle road, NW3. The estate agent was unpleasant and degrading to us, plus lied multiple times about issues i.e dropping the landlord from the agency as she was too terrible to work with but then they have continued to work with her. The landlord for this property is not a good landlord at all and is worse then the estate agent. We would advise not renting this property if possible as you will not have a good experience unfortunately, plus not working with this agency for rentals.
My partner and I found our dream house! Andy showed us two properties during our search. He was professional, prompt with communication and honest when finding our place. The whole process including referencing and paper work was easy and stress free. Also I'm not sure if this is the case across the board but we weren't charged any agency fees or references which is really good, especially during these times of uncertainty.
The whole team were helpful, friendly I and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to rent in the area.
Consistently unhelpful, non responsive, never gives full information, can t keep to own deadlines or complaint system! Steer Clear! They are a shambles and I can t believe they are still in business. They also increased their fees even though we aren t and rarely have had service from them. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Over the last 15 years the service has been substandard, the response times are very poor, the level of engagement and the way information is provided has been substandard and the decisions made have cost us money. Even their dispute handling process has been a huge disappointment. I would not even recommend them to my worst enemy...

Proper white collar thieves!!! we have to sell our property we have owned for 14 years, because of the ridiculously high management fees they have imposed on us when they took over our building last year. The laws on they side so they can charge what they want and they do, pure and utter greed!!!
I've been dealing with salter Rex as a rental tenant for 3 years and they've looked after me very well. I'd single out Andy who's an absolute legend and just about the opposite of that stereotypical estate agent we'd all rather do without.
Nothing to criticise about the moving in process but the moving out was a complete nightmare. This agency is trying to make money where ever they feel they can.
They charged us ridiculous amounts for "signs of wear" in the flat, cleaning after we already had the place cleaned, removal of items that were already in the flat when we moved in, and so on. They held a viewing in our flat without telling us, which we only realised because we walked in on them whilst the agent and a bunch of strangers were walking around in our kitchen. It took them more than 3 weeks to transfer the deposit back because they couldn't verify whether the microwave in the flat had already been there or not (there was picture evidence). After they didn't reply to my emails for two weeks when I had asked how much last month's rent would be, I walked into their office to find out they had "lost" our contract. The list is endless.
Their agents are rude, take forever to reply to your request, but want all of their demands to be taken care of immediately. I really do not recommend going with this agency!

These agents encouraged us to quickly take legal advice to wrap up a sale of a house, before we were gazumped, losing all of the legal fees we had paid. Untrustworthy charlatans. I would never buy anything from Salter Rex. No matter how friendly they claim to be - Avoid!!
