Chef here is awesome. Amazing vegan options, and he seems like a real nice dude. I recommend the chefs choice veggie roll and the shiitake skewers. Wine list intriguing, atmostphere is spot on, and service by Zach (Zack?) is top notch!

Unbelievable sushi. Super fresh ingredients, forward thinking flavor composition, beautiful execution on plating and knife skill. Sushi joints are a dime a dozen, all serving virtually the same exact menu.. this place is truly exceptional

Come here for the drinks, friendly service, and really nice atmosphere. You can get better sushi elsewhere, but it is fairly decent overall. Have been here a half dozen times and it has been consistently "OK". The drinks are nice, but the sushi sometimes leaves a bit to be desired. Nigiri cuts at times have been pretty thin... not the best when you're looking for good raw protein balanced well with rice. Feels like I've been charged the highest prices for unmastered cuts, but the rolls are pretty good, and the sake selection decent.

Very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere! The rolls are pretty and delicious. There are a few gluten free options and others are able to be adapted. They have tamari, so you can have the entire sushi experience.

The service was quick and friendly, and the sushi was amazing. The environment was very chill and non pretentious. It's nice having the bar out front to have a comfy space to wait for the table. Loved it.

I am very sad to have to write my review of Savanna. But, I was sold something that was called ramen which didn t even come close to what it should have been. Everything about this humble dish was so wrong, I would not believe it because of the last time I ate at Sakana. First off, and most importantly, for a dish to be called ramen, the noodles have to be ramen noodles. The noodles in my order were soft and nearly like pasta noodles (e.g., think spaghetti) without any bite to them like ramen noodles should have. Second the broth was bland and had no umami notes that is de rigeur in ramen broths. And, the seven minute egg was overcooked! What a complete failure. I will not go back to Sakana again. It is a total shame that this happened during the COVID-19 closure, but there is no excuse to sell something that is nothing at all like what is is marketed as on the menu. My recommendation is to not ever order the ramen, unless you like to be disappointed. Better yet, only order it when they are back open and you can send it back while in the restaurant. Such a shame...

Don t get your food Togo. Got two bowls of ramen, chicken and spicy pork and they miss labeled them and mixed them up. There was 2 pieces of pork and 4 TINY pieces of chicken, a whole hard boiled egg that s grey, and a bowl full of corn with some wilted spinach and NO broth. Not worth $14!! Maybe worth $7.50. Also don t order salmon nigiri. The rice is so hot it halfway cooks the salmon so it tastes EXTREMELY fishy. I usually like this restaurant but they keep delivering food that is less than satisfactory. Super disappointing...

Great venue for some awesome sushi, and crafted drinks. We enjoyed a couple of pre-show dinners, and all the offerings were outstanding. Make sure to get the mac and cheese, as well as one of the crafted bourbon drinks. We also had a couple of different sushi rolls, as well as plenty of nigiri. All served by a great staff.

This is the best sushi I've ever had in Ashland. Delicious, fresh, innovative menu. Modern, hip, and comfortable atmosphere that is not pretentious. Very friendly staff, the Chef Ibong makes each order into a delicious work of art. Check it out!
