Don't bother calling cause they probably won't even answer. Outsource the work then if you aren't competent enough to answer phone calls.

Not a clear system! Got me wait listed for almost 2 years, after hundred emails and inquiries, sending me a response that I should be filling up a new application.
9 years ago I was student here took financial course at night time because I was full time company some where when is my last course need to be done it suddenly gone which mean no longer offer no matter how much question I have to ask student service, OK FINE! I changed the fact to AutoCad course finish it in 2 years. Employer service department won't help me find a job because only offer full time student. I read your commercial come to upgrade your self i totally spent almost 8000.00 can't find a job it suppose to be after study here!
I have attended AELP (Electrician courses) here and find the instructors have a vested interested in the future success of their students.
Good teachers, garbage administration, too profit focused and way too in bed with industry.
SAIT has closed their phone line so you can only contact them via email and they are extremely slow to respond. They said it would take 5-14 business days for a response and it had taken more than a month. Once they had finally replied to me I quickly responded and yet is has been another week so far without any further correspondence. I would not be so angry if the subject was not time sensitive.

I was deferred less than two months before the start date of my program. They gave two options to me, either reapply next year or transfer my application to a new course for this fall. I emailed them asking to transfer my application. They emailed me back a month later (three weeks to orientation) essentially just to ask if I was sure. I said yes, and I have yet to hear anything at all. I have two weeks until the orientation for this program with no confirmation that I will even have a seat. I am very angry and upset with how the deferrals have been handled by this school and the lack of speed and efficiency of correspondence of their contact system.
Built with heritage and culture behind the architecture
BE WARNED!!! SAIT unethical and unfair business practice that you need to be aware of so you don't waste your time and money!
I applied to SAIT in May for an OPEN advertised program, waited almost 3 months for an update on my application status only to be told that the said program, been advertised as Open to the public up until the 1st week of July was actually filled up by early February.
I reached out to the CEO, who passed my concerns on to his registrar but no one seems to bother addressing why an institution would advertised a non-existent program defrauding applicants of their hard earned money and causing so much frustration and heartache.
So if you wouldn't want to go through the frustration and unfair treatment that I received from SAIT, seek admissions somewhere else and not with SAIT because that "advertised program" on their website might actually have been filled up months back or practically non-existent.
I wish there was a way to give zero star. I will keep posting this on all platform to warn applicants and expose this unethical business practice until SAIT takes responsibility for this and make it right.
Do your research before taking a program, the teachers are amazing, but do not take the digital graphics program. The print industry is awful. Extremely high stress with min wage pay.
This school only cares about taking your money. I've had better treatment from CDI.
I can not recommend this institution
They never really go the extra mile to help students get in the programs they want. They don t even email the students if they pass the pre requisites. International students have hard time getting into their programs. Most of their graduates don t even land a job. I dunno why people are so into this school. Like really, the best????? Where? Plus the fact that there are no real people to talk to you about your concerns during their admissions. It is all done online. Mind you Sait, students are humans, not computers. Put a real person on your contact phone to talk to students. And oh, is there a contact number for customer service?
I really loved sait! Met some awesome people . I just wished my program was a bit longer and that my classes were a bit earlier. 6 months didn't feel long enough to feel the full sait experience. But from what I did experience I really enjoyed. Totally would recommend this school!
Lies about hire rates on lots of courses, they didnt drop our classes 99% hire rate until a few of us complained after the course. Field professionals, not instructors. They haven't even taken a crash course on teaching and really dont care about you. Just making money in the off season.
Its big, its got a lot of amazing resources, many amazing staff, and SAITSA is really nifty as well. Unfortunately, it's very very expensive, and only getting worse (whether the economy will get better or not).
I'd say you should come here if you have a very specific idea of what you want. In the age of the internet, it's more and more difficult to legitimize the actual education of the courses, and by the end, you may wish you never went through all the trouble for a paper and some sudo-legitimacy.
To all those students like me, finally hitting the end of your time here, I wish you luck.
Also, pro-tip:
Take advantage of the councilling services SAIT has to offer. Its incredibly difficult being a student, moreso as you move forward in the program. The councillors are free and incredibly supportive. If you don't like the one you have you can try with another.
I love SAIT. Have been working there for few months and find this place very professional but friendly and people focused.
1st complaint:
If I could rate 0 I would. This institute is a joke. First the dropped qualifications to, 50%so they could make more money on admission fees. My 55% was not qualified and when I called to ask why they said 60was more the requirement even though they say 50.Got a 74% and that wasn't good enough She finally told me to 80%and higher will actually get you in. So I just blew $100(at least taxes will cover it) when they really should just state the 80%for a requirement but why when they can make more by lowered false requirements.
Second complaint: I challenged the Biology 20 test that sait offers. Apparently they keep that mark and will not update your transcript marks with that if you want to go to another college. Since I did the test there it's for them only, even when I asked to just see it I can't get my own mark for the biology 20 challenge test that I paid for so I could have anytime I wanted to go back to school. Also my upgraded Engine 30 mark and my computer test mark, that I had paid to take the test for, is also withheld from me. $150 I paid to take all these tests which are my marks and I can only use them for sait, no other school. So to get around that a little is I told them I was applying to sait and I would like those emailed. They will tell you administrative has all the marks but insist on getting it emailed to you anyways. They must think you are applying to them, don't be arrogant and say no you are going somewhere else cause you won't win and get your marks, play their game and just say you are.
Hoping to start January 2017 I have heard many things about the school and I love it
Great place to learn but if you are female-do not work here as an instructor!
Horrible instructors they only care about your money..
Such a magnificent building, definitely one of SAIT's jewel. Interior looks fantastic too.
******July 7th UPDATE @Alyssa- I would assume you are referring to the insensitive and condescending email i receive from your student liaison person (Your colleague, Michelle) confirming that SAIT was never going to consider me for an admission (Please refer to an except from her email} where she acknowledges that the program was already full by early February 2020 but program status was still "OPEN" to the public and admission fees collected in May 2020.
So you guys took my money, wasted my time and after 3 months of unresponsive inquiries (only after a google review) decides it was time to come out with the truth?
Please refund my application fee ASAP to the original form of payment and thanks!
Email except, i can forward you the full scripting if you like;
"All of the seats to the fall 2020 intake were filled by early February, so the best that you can hope for is to be placed on the waitlist according to the date that you qualified for the program. There are currently over 100 people ahead of you on the waitlist, so your chances of being accepted are very low. If you have been accepted into a different institution, then you may want to consider accepting it"
July 4th**********How long does it take SAIT to preview an application or process an update for admission? Anyone?
My application status has been sitting on "Complete ready for review" for more than 3 weeks now and that is after several attempts before that update itself. No one to speak to at the registrar' office, No response to emails either.
I am hoping this is not the nature of customer service with SAIT because this is beyond frustrating and highly disappointing.
love to swim here with the grandbabies ..just don't like the music and advertisements too loud..have the heard of streaming music..
A great place for meeting and studying for university students
My name is ARAVIND SUSHAMA RAJACHANDRAN [student ID 000853039] from India, who deferred my offer letter for Environmental Technology in SAIT to September Intake. I paid the entire tuition fees for first year on February onwards and currently in the wait list of the same course for September intake.
As the pandemic rising day-by-day, I requested to cancel my application from waiting list and to refund the amount paid on July 20 2020,
since then there is no updates from college. In website they assures that they will respond to a mail with in 2-3 business day but in my case its about a month and still no response. Why you guys offering this much worst customer service to students.. Please do something as soon as possible in my case
Really enjoyed the courses and programs I've completed here.
Only good experiences so far!
Great school filled with great people. I have no regrets of enrolling.
Graduate of the respiratory therapy program! And only have great things to say about SAIT and the campus! Has a great view of the city and is a spectacular campus! The teachers and staff where very very helpful and provided a great education
I think your content on the website is not true. They deceive students with these information, for example rate salary of the website is captivate, but in real is completely different. I graduated at Network Technician in 2017 and this program never help me to find a job, the only thing I get is owing money to the government. I understand this is a business and it is not helping student to upgrade skills and find a job.
Best place to learn about educational evolution in Alberta. Also, hands on experience for learners with professional instructors.
Great place to learn. Smaller class size, and knowledgeable instructors means better chance to talk. Campus has a great location and amenities nearby, plus right on the c train line.
Lots of heritage in these halls. Nice meeting rooms. Not sure this place needs reviews but hey, why not?
Thank you for offering so many programs, especially part-time.
I have been taking classes since 2015 part time... I have experienced alots of ups and downs and also referred my friends to Sait.
Sait is simply one of the best post-secondary schools by all means. It has a high reputation in it s instructors, service and definitely the Sait campus as well. I would definitely recommend Sait to everyone. It is with no doubt going forward in improvements.
This place is terrible they took both my husband and mine money and kicked us both out the staffs don t give accurate enough information causing confusion. They don t really help you to appeal anything properly explanation need to be given they don t understand the struggles people go through to pay school fees only to find out the program is different then when you want to change and go to another one it s a big fuss... they need to transfer information better and be more understanding also stop giving false advise those things really affect people s life outcome... I feel cheated out
Top Institute for tech and technologists. They also offer business, culinary, and apprenticeships in many different fields. The instructors are great and will help you with work if you ask. You get as much from the programs and culture as you put in. Consider it not just an ends to a means, but also a great place to make connections and acquaintances.
very helpful people in a complex environment. Your life will be so much better if you join the registrar line ahead of time with the text to join system. You can make an appointment or even join a line digitally, rather than physically waiting
Good first day, instructors are solid and I love the class
Great school the trade teachers in school of construction are amazing. Unfortunitley i was unable to buy a parking pass due not recieving any emails or login info to buy a parking pass. Now im stuck paying 800 bucks for 8 weeks for parking. But it was well worth it.
Wasnt st Riley was at the top of the hill at the statue of Robert the Bruce
Starting my second program here in the fall. I have been very happy with my experiences at Sait. The courses offered are relevant and direct. They are very good about offering courses in fields that have a good employment outlook.
Moved to Calgary to go to SAIT and now deferred meaning cancelled
SAIT has no consideration for their students.
They don t answer my emails to take open studies.
I wish SAIT sent an email or letter letting us know they considered bumping students
Student service staff is not very friendly. Otherwise everything is fine.
Requesting for a refund and I was informed last November that the process was approved and would take 6 weeks, when I followed up after waiting for 6 weeks, they told me that I need to submit documents and have to go to my bank to get a letter from them. If this was their procedure, why would they not inform the student in the first place? I sent them an email asking the reason why I wasn t informed and it s been a week since, I haven t gotten any response from them. The communication is just so bad. They just take your money but when you have valid reasons for withdrawing your application you would go through hoops just to get your money back.
Sait has arranged a Fair. That was quite informative. If someone wants to improve his/her education/ technical skills. It's a good and kind of renowned place for that.
I wish I could give less stars because this is the worst experience I have ever had at a school. Nobody seems to be responding and I keep sending emails to the school.
First of all I bought a textbook from the bookstore which I returned to the bookstore right away before opening the package. Since June I still haven't gotten my refund for the textbook. Secondly my tuition, they sent an email asking me to respond to it or my classes would all be dropped. I responded to the email saying that I can pay for the full tuition as soon as needed. But no response from them and I can't even pay for the tuition because they dropped my courses.
This is bs if you guys are going to shut off your phone lines atleast have more people checking emails.
Finishing first year of IT program, nothing promised was delivered. From 5 classes we had only 2 proper instructors, the rest are contracts, who can not deliver the content or provide the instruction. I am currently considering transfer to another college. I would not recommend anyone to enter this school. They all about money making, and care very little about students.
It's a historical school site, fantastic views of downtown, and the school itself, SAIT, is world's class
Took the first 2 years of my electrical apprenticeship here, nothing but good to say about the facility, instructors, and campus itself. Great location.
I when to sait, super good they give oportunities to every one open alot of door and excelent education. I will become an university soon
Luck of individual helping student
Pleas
Focus and attention the one he need help
Why is it so hard to navigate the site to get your tax forms? Where are they? Why isnt there clear instructions and access to them online???
I went to SAIT many years ago for my welding apprenticeship. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and as far as welders go, friendly. The institute is a great place to further your trade and thanks to SAIT Alberta is recognized worldwide as producing the finest tradesmen of the highest quality and know-how.
A real gem in Alberta s blue collar crown. Keep up the excellent work.
Very nice place, it is like the most important area of SAIT campus, the architecture is best and it is truly heritage place, they maintain it very accurately.
Sait has no respect for its students
I have very little respect for everything about sait
Prices are to high
Security sucks
Teachers dont try
Parking is a nightmare
Definitely not safe at night
Little support for student s mental state
Expensive for what its worth
Poor teaching methods
When you ve graduated you have little to no knowledge about the real work
The percentage of employed students after school is always wrong on their website
I don t trust sait and its definitely not worthy of your time
? WHY ? does SAIT NOT have a Switchboard PHONE where people can actually talk with a person to get info?!?
Terrible Customer Service!
Sait is one of the most popular colleges in Calgary. All buldings and roads are in very good conditions, so it is really safe place for students and pedestrians. From the main campus Heritage Hall you can see one of the best views of downtown.
I'm not really sure what there is to review about this place. I took a picture as I was walking by for classes in another building. It's old, but well maintained. Looks like a cool Castle with the same look and feel of a lot of the other schools in the city built around the same time. Neat to check out if you're in to history as it's mostly original inside and they have a bunch of plaques with historical information all around.
8 hour days in the shop to make up for lost time during early months of covid. Awesome welding program, would highly recommend this school to anybody wanting to learn trades.
