The service here is extraordinary the patient assistants are very helpful. They took care of us each and every moment they were so responsible. I should specially mention Radha , Alex and Gilda, Anne , Steph. The services provided by Lactations consultants were also very helpful. I highly recommend this hospital for the best labor experience.

I have CVS syndrome. For those who do not know what it is please take a moment and google it. The diease is very debilitating and unpredictable. I arrived to this ER on Monday morning around 7:30 and didn t leave until almost 10:00a.m. The wait time is just RIDICULOUS!! I work in the medical field and it s very unfortunate that we can t treat people how we would like to be treated. I wasted my time I should have left after an hour. I have been to ER s from Texas to New York and this was by far the worse. Understaffed or overstaffed and a lot of people doing nothing. Very disappointed.

This hospital, I heard has unpaid internships for their new nurses that are full of college debt. Taking advantage of nursing looking to find work in a very tight market. If true, shame on you St. Peter's. Would Jesus be proud? How much do you evil clowns earn in salaries and bonuses?

I delivered at St. Peter's in late 2012. From the moment we parked, the staff was courteous and prompt in getting us to Labor and Delivery. Signing in was easy, and I was set up quickly with the security wrist bands. Once in the room, I was checked on continually to make sure I was comfortable, and I was visited regularly by my doctor. The staff answered all my questions about what medicines I was receiving and in what dosages. During recovery, I was allowed to choose my meals and drinks, which were better than when I delivered in 2009. All my requests were met, including putting baby on my chest after delivery; bonding time; no episiotomy; refusing baby's 2nd bath, and my no bottles/no pacifiers request.

St. Peter's does as much as possible in your room so as not to separate mom/baby for too long including baby's hearing test, 1st pictures with an excellent photographer, and routines medical check-ups.

We had a great L&D experience and I highly recommend St. Peter's.

I took my son who was having abdominal pain, while we are waiting at the reception, the hospital reception people joking around and chilling out while my son was crying waiting to be seen and there was no sense of urgency in the hospital not even in the in the emergency room. We had to wait 2 hours before he was seen by a real doctor, in the meanwhile the several university students were asking repeated questions to my son. I had to take my son again to same place next day for the same abdominal pain, i observed same carelessness. Staff including doctors are poorly trained with poor hospital management system. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone for emergency services

My daughter has been seen by the Pediatric group a...

My daughter has been seen by the Pediatric group at 123 Howe Lane for the last 14 plus years of her life. Primarily by Dr. Lucus until the last two years were she wanted to be seen by a woman doctor, Dr.Rojas. We love St. Peters and the doctors since they seem to truly care about their patients. But for the life of me the recent changes in the way it handles my daughter's claims is going to drive us away from St. Peters.

My daughter is a Cleft Child and being that, you can imagine the fights we have had over the years with the health insurance system. But now it appears the battlefronts are not with them but with St. Peters on how they submit their claims/coding to the insurance company. Case in point 4/7/17 Wellness visit. Now with my insurance, my daughter is entitled to one Wellness visit per calendar year. I call my insurance to make sure all is covered and they confirmed all will be covered at 100%. Dr. Rojas submits her claim 4/18 and they pay accordingly. Now St. Peters submits a claim 4/19 for $1760.00- For a Clinic visit, Audiology, Therapeutic Services & the last of her 9VHPV dose. The insurance company pays but tells me I have to pay for the Clinic visit since it was not coded as Wellness preventive office visit. I call the insurance and they see that on 4/7 my daughter did indeed have a preventative visit per the doctors first claim. So, with me on the phone they call St. Peters billing dept. and explain the issue. The customer service person was very nice & did see the error and advised it will be reprocessed and resubmitted to my insurance.

Two months go by and now we see another two claims dated 6/13 & 6/16 again from Dr.Rojas & St. Peters. This time St. Peters dropped all the Type of Service my daughter received and just put Ancillary Services . I call the insurance company again and this time they reach out once more to St. Peters and we get Barbara from the billing dept. She proclaimed anytime you step foot in a hospital you will be billed a Facility Charge . I told her it was not a hospital, but the Care Group on Howe Lane. She said anything with the St. Peters name will now be charged a Facility Charge . I explained to her that my daughter was there for her annual Wellness visit. She advised that St. Peters does not code it that way anymore. She hung up on us, and my insurance company said if that s the case I am on the hook for the annual deductible which means they will not pay for daughters visit. So, when my daughter visited the 123 Howe Pediatric Clinic for her last preventative checkup, her last 9VHPV shot, the hospital billed me $584.32 out of my own pocket for one wellness exam!!!

I just wanted all to be aware of this when you step foot in this hospital. I tried one more time to reach out to St. Peters billing dept. and got the same sarcastic response. They advise if I don t pay in 90 days they will send to collections. I went to the Howe clinic and ask them to show me where it shows a patient will be charged a facility fee? They had no documentation to show me. I called the insurance company and they will pay if only it is coded correctly and resubmitted to them. I filed an appeal with them last month and still not one word. I sent a letter to Dr. Rojas and no response either. It s not right that the patient has insurance but the Hospital and the Insurance company is making the patient jump through hoops to get any type of satisfaction and or service from them. So my only other course it to publicly SHAME them on social media. Next letter will be to the state insurance regulator, & letters to the editor of all the newspapers.-8/29/2017

I'm disgusted. I spent hours at the children's hospital with my sick son and when the valet came back with my car I smelled nothing but cigarette smoke. I do not smoke and no one took responsibility for the smell. The girl who brought my car back just kept saying it wasn't her, she said she smoked but would never smoke in my car although she smelled like smoke. This is unacceptable. How am I supposed to get the smell out? I had to put my sick son who had chest pain in the car with the cigarette smoke. This is a children's hospital and your employees think it's ok to smoke in patients cars. Knowing there are children who are sick coming in and out of the hospital. I don't care who smoked in my car, it shouldn't have happened at all.

Parents who are here are exhausted and worried for their children. The last thing they want is to get their car back with cigarette smoke in it and then have to drive all the way home with the smell. I am disappointed, especially since there are signs every saying the facility is smoke free! Obviously that rule didn't apply to your employees.

My car still smells like cigarette smoke and so do all of our clothing.

My sister died at the hospital in June because of medical error. This fact is not in dispute. The chief of the hospital, Judd Hirsch knows this. Dr. Kothari, Chief of Medicine, knows this. Dr. Rao knows this. Dr. Frenia knows what he did. The anesthesiologist knows what he did.

And they said "Sorry" this happened and we will make changes to be sure it never happens again. But no accountability.

I am very sad. My family has a more than a 50 year relationship with St. Peter's. My brother-in-law, a doc, started their cardiac catheterization lab. He was a doc there for many years until he retired. My father, a psychologist, volunteered his services to the Cleft Palate Team from its inception and for 25 years hence. My mother consulted with physicians at the hospital and did empathy training with residents. I even worked there many years ago.

It was a hospital where I felt safe. Where my father died and where my mother died. I have not been able to go into that hospital since my sister died. She suffered for 3 weeks as the residents, without proper supervision, put her in and out of heart failure. And she went in and out of the ICU not because of the medical problem for which she was admitted, but because of medical malpractice. The problem with which she entered the hospital was resolved. She was better. She died because of medical error. No one disputes this.

The nurses and residents ignored my pleas for a doctor to see her when she began speaking gibberish one day and for every day before that. I begged for a doctor. No one came. She had a reaction to the antibiotic she was on and the next day she had a seizure from the medication. She was intubated. They broke a tooth and it went into her lung. All things that could have and should have been avoided had she had a doctor, not a resident who was being supervised by a nurse practitioner. The Chief of Medicine, Dr. Nayan Kothari, who is supposed to be supervising and educating residents was nowhere to be seen or found for three weeks while she was there.

I begged her doctor, Dr. Nayan Kothari to see her. I begged his secretary and pleaded for him to see his patient. Someone with whom she had a 50 plus year relationship from when my sister worked at the hospital as a medical social worker. He never saw her.

He never called me. And his nurse practitioner, Joanie Lynn, with whom I thought I had a caring relationship, never phoned me. And why? Because Dr. Kothari told her to have nothing to do with the family.

Dr. Nayan Kothari, the Chief of Medicine, was an intern when my brother-in-law was chief resident. They had more than a 50 year relationship. He was my sister's doctor but he failed her. He abandoned his patient - pure and simple.

I asked the hospital for to be accountable for what happened. They said "we're sad" but not doing anything. Not censuring the three physicians who were in the room with my sister for a procedure when she screamed "stop" "I changed my mind" not once but twice. Those are the last words I heard my sister say - "Stop". Her words haunt me.

Dr. Kothari needs to go. The three docs in the room who heard my sister say stop need to be censured. And the hospital owes my family the money we asked for to do something in my sister's name and to provide support and comfort who suffer.

Every one of the staff I dealt with directly and indirectly in the Women's Imaging Center was exceptional. Each person made a very nerve wracking experience more pleasant than I ever would have expected. The women were efficient, kind, caring, and even fun! I knew I was in terrific hands, and I would recommend this facility to anyone with any breast related issues.

Secondly the nurses are really awesome and always making light of the situation cheering me up and making me laugh in my pain! The anesthesiologist was Awesome!!! Every member of the hospital that I encountered was really caring and only wanted to help me more! I hope I don't have to need the wonderful service again but if I do I will definitely come back here!

My wife had a baby at St. Peter s University Hospital in September and the experience we had from the nurses and staff was excellent. From the very first time that my wife was admitted to when she was discharged, all the different nurses that took care of her and our baby did so well to make our experience a very positive one.
As a researcher with special interest in healthcare related matters, I must say that the positive experienced we had at St Peter s was extraordinary.
Even though we re from a working class family, the nurses including everyone at the NICU where our daughter stayed for a few days didn t treat us anyway different.
Nurses and staff at St Peter s certainly do deserve a praise for the public to know that even though there are bad nurses out there, those at St Peter s University Hospital are super awesome.

Took an 2 hours to get 4 stitches out. They weren't busy since my vitals were taken within 10 minutes of my arrival. the nurse taking out the stitches got 2 out then had to go fix a laceration. I sat for almost 90 minutes. Phone went from 70% to 4%. I was told it would be a quick procedure and it could have been but i ended up being late for work. very kind kind and caring staff, but the service is not amazing. Use RWJ.

The quality of this local institution has plummeted dramatically. I had a simple lyme infection on my ankle and had a two day stay. I was billed for services and medication not rendered and I was up-coded to a metabolic room. Total bill for two days was $43,000. I guess they have to find money to buy apartments for staff from somewhere. Total fraud and now reported to the various authorities. PS. I tried working with administrative staff to absolutely no avail. I would have posted no star, but this system requires at least one.

My daughter was having a procedure, Wednesday. Came in Sunday for COVID test and pre admission. There was literally no organization. I suggest the hospital gets a Sign in program To help keep organized. The admission representative was very helpful but I find it unfair, unprofessional and time wasting to have that one person come out from their desk every time a new person arrives to the waiting area.... secondly I waited in the preop area for around 2 hours bc there was a problem. The nurse Shannon never came into the room to inform me anything about what was happening, she didn t even said someone was coming to talk to me or anything, Being patient not rushing anyone I waited.... but no one came not even to check if my daughter was ok.I was quiet just waiting.... Terrible lack of sensibility.... Sad.... I am a healthcare professional too, and I have NEVER done something like this to any of my patients. They just dismissed me and my daughter because things were not as planned. I am very disappointed with the poor professionalism from my Daughters Nurse, who came back when my daughter was already dressed up and walking out of the room. Shannon if you ever read this please don t do it to any other. Person, you never know what situations are other people going through.
I wish I could give no stars...

On November 19th my 90 year old father was admitte...

On November 19th my 90 year old father was admitted into the ICU of St. Peter's University Hospital because his lungs filled with fluid and he could not breath. He was put on a ventilator to help along with his breathing and so began the beginning of a ICU experience I will never forget with a staff that was the most amazing group of professionals. I have never had nor has my family ever had to go into a IC unit but if you do need to be in one I would say you can rest assured your family member is in very good hands.
There is one particular nurse that was assigned to my father Tong who is the most amazing health care professional I have ever encountered. She is very up close an personal and tried to make my dad as comfortable as possible since having no voice because of a ventilator he was very anxious. At one point he had a terrible fever and she know just how to help bring it down by using a cooling blanket. Her information to him at any time she was working on him was always load and clear so he knew what was happening. I know this for sure because there was not one hour that would go by that he did not have at least 1 family member there holding his hand so he was not afraid.

There is a wonderful woman Marta who was as sweet as could be , always a smile on her face and looking to help you in any way she could.

There are quite a few wonderful nurses that worked with my dad, Willy, Rebecca and a few more I just cannot remember all the names but each and every one were as kind as the next and always looking to make him as comfortable as possible.
Unfortunately, on November 29th my dad passed away after we decided to remove the ventilator since we know he was declining rapidly and had hoped that we would be able to hear him talk to us one more time .The nurse working with him starting early in the morning knew what we were doing that day and tried to make it as easy for my mom , myself and my two sisters as possible. Keeping dad comfortable was her main priority. It was not long after the ventilator was removed that my dad passed and we were able to stay with him as long as we needed to say our goodbyes.

Nobody wants to ever be in the IC unit of a hospital but if you need to be and are at St Peter's you should feel comfortable that your family member is is great hands.

It was very sad to see that so many in this unit had so little family visiting but at least these patients had good nurses and staff members.

Thank you again to all the staff that helped my dad!!!!!

Warm Regards,
Rochelle Lederman

Rating for their Emergency Department! Reported chest pain, I sat for 15 minutes ask the two techs at the reception desk can someone take my pressure to make sure I'm fine, they looked at me and said I'll be there shortly and just sat in their chairs gazing at each other for another 5 minutes, so I decided to leave. I had my babies here all of them since I lived in NJ. I will never go back here for emergency services!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I will think twice before I use them for any other services for me or my kids!!!!! I left and went to RWJ. I NEVER FELT SO DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED with medical professionals, EVER!!! St. Peter's has lost my trust!

Amazing experience in the labor and deliver unit. Had both my girls delivered there in the past 2.5 years, one being an emergency C-section, and I ve received nothing less than amazing care. Just had my daughter born here this week. The overall experience was excellent. The L&D crew members are awesome, they respond to our needs right away. Every nurse (at least the ones that dealt with us) is able to answer questions and attend to situations. I was so impressed with their professionalism (Allida, Victoria and many more!).
Then, the Mother & Child nurses/techs are pretty good as well, they are overall hardworking, considerate, and gentle with newborn babies. (Sabrina, Radha and Marydel).
Two less than good experiences i had were, the manager of M&C herself was holding the nurse that was bathing my baby by complaining to her about someone from another shift; and the photographer seemed careless about my newborn daughter as she was handled a bit roughly. The photographer was too focused on making good photos, she did not care if the baby was exposed so long naked just for her to shoot the best artwork. However, she did take pretty good photos.

Also, you must try the sweet potato wedges in the kitchen (1st floor, not G floor). They are surprisingly good, and taste heavenly with the Heinz hot sauce the kitchen provides outside.

I went to St. Peters through the Emergency room. I was in unbearable pain and needed surgery. I have panic disorder so a hospital is the last place I want to be! Everyone there was friendly and understanding. The nurses treated me like a friend... not just a patient. I thanked each one of them because I know how demanding their job is and how frustrating it is when their is a difficult patient. The food was good and could be ordered at anytime. Place was clean and I had comfortable rooms. I am beyond happy with all they did for me!

I wish I didn't have to post a negative a review to this hospital but I felt so disappointed that this is the least I could do.
About 2 weeks ago After leaving the hospital my wife realized she left the iPhone on the bed she was staying on. After returning not even and hour after to get the phone I was told that the room was cleaned and no one reported a lost iPhone. The nurse didn't even directed me to lost and founds or checked to see who was the employee who cleaned the room. All I got was a "no is not here" like I just lost a lollipop. I gave them sometime, later on I called security asking if anybody turned in an iPhone; nothing! They were going to investigate and call me back, yeah sure!
To this day nobody called or did anything. Such a shame.
Love the hospital and service but you better hold unto your stuff if you don't wanna lose it for good. Thanks!

Do not give birth here unless you want to be abused and stressed out! There's some really nice people here but the overall experience was Abusive, judgmental, and invalidating. If you want to be treated with respect and to have your birth plan matter, give birth somewhere else! If you want to be scared, invalidated, have little say, and be mentally abused during a vulnerable and life changing time in your life than go here.

Maternal fetal medicine High Risk unit should be a...

Maternal fetal medicine High Risk unit should be ashamed of themselves & their use of Nurse practitioners used during initial intakes instead of doctors! This unit does not allow opportunities to speak with any doctor when questions or legit issues arise. The nurse practitioner kristine Kelly is over the top and is not knowledgeable in aspects of patients with preexisting conditions, this lack of knowledge places the patient at further risk.
Apparently you are not allowed to question mistakes on inaccurate medical information or question compromised Lab results from a contaminated sample. I was discharged from their care by director of unit who never spoke one word to me or was i able to ever speak to a doctor. Confirmation of pregnancy was confirmed VIA urine sample 4 weeks previous to my appointment at another Saint peters Location. On the date of my appointment at High Risk a quick ultrasound was done to determine size of the baby and get calculations of due date. Urine and one vile of blood sample was taken on this day. Approximately few hours after visit i was called stating i am not pregnant from what their urine analysis stated. Umm what? Yet i hold pictures of ultrasound , heard the babies heart beat at 145 bpm but yet now im not pregnant? 3 days later i obtained lab reports and medical records which showed some inaccurate info but most disturbing was lab results. Lab results showed negatives in one section then stated positives.. It would be found my lad samples where compromised.

Not the best way to start off and i sought to have Nurse practitioner off my case , new labs drawn and to speak with a doctor .. All denied. I received a call within a few days from office administration of unit who stated the director didnt like me questioning the mistakes and felt it was untherapeutic to continue treating me. Stay away !! I've had so many Generations in my family born here as my first born was delivered. Things have definitely changed and not for the Good! I started with Hackensack Meridian Health and must say the are far more advanced with their fetal medicine. It would be found that necessary testing within time restraints were missed by saint peters, Saint Peters lab results were inaccurate , i was labeled extremely high blood pressure ( testing and Repeat BP measurements showed different) . Im having a child after 35 and Saint Peters did nothing to make me comfortable in fact the nurse stated i would more likely have a child with issues. Results for genetic testing through Hackensack Meridian Health all show infact everything is fine . Hackensack Meridian Health has you seeing doctors and they take their time and very on top of things with top notch medical equipment. Sad the Saint Peters went down hill but i am thankful that i found another Hospital that is far more superior in fetal medicine

Choose Penn Med Over Saint Pt if you are new to this area like I was ! I had my second child delivered in their department recently and had a terrible experience the first night in the delivery room. The nurse punctured vessels on both my hands three times with catheters and complained (or just tried to excuse herself) by stating my veins are too thin! Well I was healthy and hydrated and always have nice contrast and bold vessels on my hands. Then a second nurse came and did it successfully in one shot but interestinglhy she slowly illustrated to the first one like I was a experimental rat! Then I knew I was unfortunate enough to have a fresh hand taking care of me, without any leading or experienced nurses aside. Not to mention other moments later that pissed me and my husband off. Guess what, I ended up with terrible pain and bruise in weeks, worse than the childbirth, seriously. Yes, compliment on their delivery team and my OB but terrible terrible the punctures were! Later I filed the complain back to the hospital and till today they said they couldn't successfully reach me. I will wait to see what they will do. I am writing this review just to warn expecting moms that you will have higher chances to end up in hands of new and inexperienced nurses to in charge of you. No offense! We all understand fresh hands need experience to be experienced, but why no anyone or mechanisms to supervise new nurses so moms like me will save the other two punctures after the first try failed. I don't blame the nurses much but the hospital itself.

I was at the hospital for one night stay on April 21 through April 22, 2016. I must say I was extremely impressed with the service and the nurses on staff. Ms. J who was the registered nurse who took care of me on the night I was admitted was a very helpful woman. She really made sure I was cleaned and got my rest. Diana was a sweetheart she was very helpful and was on point with all of my requests. I can't forget AJ who came by to mop the floor to make sure I did not slip and fall not once but twice!! Everyone at this hospital really took pride to make me comfortable and make sure I was taken cared of. Loved, loved, loved the staff and the hospital!

I went to the hospital to be treated today, this is by far the best hospital I ve ever went too and I ve been to many of them. The nurses and the doctor I had Dr.Stoev Borislav were amazing. Very attentive and showed compassion. The ER was packed and the staff was still managing to check in multiple times and so was the doctor and provided my care in a timely matter.

My daughter was born here in 2016. Nice doctors and nurses. Excellent care. I would have given a 5 star rating if it was not for the recent experience, talking with the billing department. The entire positive opinion i had is clouded by this one worst experience with the billing department.
A few weeks ago i had a number of calls making sure that everything was paid and there are no dues. They did confirm that there is no due amount. After a few days i started getting bills again. I thought it could be a small mistake and tried reaching out the billing department. I have been referred back and forth between the departments till i got frustrated with their behavior. I hung up and decided to lodge a complaint today. Waiting for a response.

Got the response and they worked with me to resolve this. Appreciate the effort.

The nurses and staff are very nice and helpful . What touched me the most was that a week after being released, I received a card signed by all the staff wishing me a quick recovery. I have been admitted at other hospital and no other hospital though of this nice gesture.
Thank you to all the nurses and staff for your well wishes

I have never expect i ll be writing a review about...

I have never expect i ll be writing a review about a Hospital in my life..but the experience and pain which i went through when i was at hospital and after discharge from the hospital make me write this review...
Hospital , doctors & nurses i feel they are great and used to have so much respect , but after my experience at St peters, make me feel they are also normal people , instead of treatment and generous service to people in pain they do matter , what type of people they are, they are from which place, their religion and so much......... i feel ridiculous the person who have admitted in your hospital with labor pains is a patient why you guys bother how she appear, she is christian or hindu....i feel St peters Nurses are racist....

I admitted with labor pain in hospital at 8:00 AM and the nurse who is alocated to me looked at me weired.... i was scared whether she ll cooperate and consoles me during my labor, though its my first baby and have no knowledge about labor and birth, me and my husband both were in hospital we have no elders i.e. our parents with us who can guide and concole me during labor and help me.. we thought nurses will help during the labor after delivery... but i experienced instead of their job they ask myself and my hubby to do few things which i can't explain and write in this review....i don't know whether only one nurse will be allocated to patient in labor room while pushing the baby ? frankly speaking i was frightened with the behavior of st peters staff.. i am full term and exactly on due date labor pains started and admitted with 7 cm dilated and bleeding ... but they delayed upto 2:00 pm saying because of epidural my legs were nub?i don't say anything about this ... but while checking the dilation they broke the water , i am scared anything ll happen to my baby .... but delaying delivery for those many hours make me tired , because i am not allowed to eat or drink then how i ll manage to push baby without strength. my husband has helped me in pushing the baby of course one nurse who is allocated to me..i have no complaints about that nurse initially she looked at me weird but she did her job, some how with generous or felt her responsibility when baby was about to come out 2 to 3 nurses added and doctor too... may this is process happens i don't know.some how i am able to push in 2:30 hours though it is first baby and baby weight is 7+ pounds. Twist is after delivery nurse who checked my baby said fine and asked us any pediatrician is coming to check my baby, we said any pediatrician from hospital can check baby, she called doctor .the doctor came and took my baby saying looks like baby has swallowed amniotic fluid.i even don't know they took my baby to NICU.Only my husband knows.7:30 shifted me to another room from labor room then i came to know that my baby is at Nicu, they kept NCPAP and supplied fluids, no oxygen is supplied , because she is able to breathe herself, then what is the need of stay at NICU, i don't understand,, they gave antibiotics to baby not get infectious, and did all the blood work and x-ray, they said initial x-ray showed traces of pleural effusion and said repeated x -ray shows no traces and lungs was clear, blood work came negative.... i was discharegedafter 2 days, i asked the nicu doctor how is my baby they said everything came negative congrats to me,i said i wants to take my baby with me , but they denied saying its NICU rule to keep baby for 3 days... instead of 3 days they kept my baby for 4 days even though she is breathing herself after delivery by her own and bloodwork , x-ray everything negative.even they haven't confirmed when my baby will be discharged when i am leaving hospital ,i am so much disappointed and depressed left hospital without my baby.. i am so upset seeing my fullterm baby in NICU ,like that ,,, i Strongly feel just to charge bill more they are doing such type of tricks with our feelings... during discharging of my baby , no doctor was there and they didn't even dO the minimum formalities

While I was in the hospital for an EEG, St. Peters took really good care of me. The nurses and patient care assistants were really nice and friendly. They did a great job of taking care of me. Room service was good, especially the pizzas and the quesadillas. St. Peters is like family to me and I'm happy to be born there.

You don't want to deliver a baby here!! My delivery was great after that we dealt with our newborn being used as a training aid poked and prodded. Staff is completely rude and had little to no bedside manner. We literally had one good nurse, the birth of your child is supposed to be a joyous experience they managed to completely suck the joy out of it.

Seems like they only care so they get good reviews. Kicked out of wife's room to go to waiting room to sleep. Get there at 1AM, it's like little Mexico.

Never say you are having a anxiety attack here. They put you in psych ward with dangerous nut jobs & no staff to handle. Not exaggerating. 2 of them almost fought, only 1 nurse for 2 large guys.

The women clinic is terrible I had to pay $675 for the day I had an appointment, but they didn't give me any antibiotics, no medication, or prescription. They gave me nothing for the pain I had. They just sent me home. Yes I was sick, because I private doctor is treating me now.

Cigarette smoke repeatedly enters the labor and delivery rooms on the fourth floor while women are trying to give birth. There are dozens of cigarettes around the air intake for the new wing near the east side parking garage. Telling the person who runs security near the entrance apparently does nothing to solve the problem.

I d rate this hospital a negative 5 star and wouldn t recommend a horse being taken in and cared for... my girlfriend had recently been admitted because we had our first child.
We hear that St. Peter s was the best for children so , we figured why not go to the best...
Well it was eveything but the best....
Treated my girlfriend like an animal...
She basically wasn t ready to give birth so they induced her..
That didn t work so they shoved this thing that s called a ballon Cathedar or Watever, which helps open the cervix but did nothing but give her and infection because drs jut kept shoving there hands inside her like it was going out of style...
They released her saying infection was gone but half a day later fever spiked , went to the ER
And told us incection was in her uterus...
I can keep goin on but I just wanted to let people know , its probably best to just go across the street to RWJ

My mother had bladder removal surgery here on 10/10/19 due to bladder cancer. The doctor was great, and the nurses were absolutely wonderful (so much better than the nurses at RWJ, and so much more professional), however I was extremely disappointed over the fact that St. Peter s charges $7.50 per day for TV in the room. My mom is a cancer patient and had to stay in the hospital for over 5 days to recover from the surgery. She was already spending thousands of dollars for the surgery and now she has to spend $7.50 a day for tv? It doesn t make sense to me. Luckily, she had her IPad and Kindle to keep her busy, but I pity the elderly patients who are there for extended periods of time who don t use those types of devices and whose only outlet of entertainment would be the television. I find it extremely sad.

Wife and I were planning to deliver our baby at this hospital. We were hit with an unexpected and very serious condition in the third trimester called fetal hydrops.

The hospital was unequipped to deal with the issue, and only after a full week of complaints agreed to help transfer us to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

They charged us for a week stay resulting in over $100,000 of hospital bills, which reached our insurance caps. To add extra salt, we have not even been able to pay off the deductibles, because their online billing system is broken (and has been from 7/2019 - 1/2020).

For one of our bills we paid over the phone. We specifically asked for a receipt, which never ended up arriving.

I found out later from another person in the billing department that you need to call in and verbally receive a separate web address to reach a billing site that actually works.

This hospital service has been pretty terrible and has bordered between neglient to incompetent. I recommend going to JFK or Robert Wood instead.

My son was born here. They took him to NICU, almos...

My son was born here. They took him to NICU, almost a week later they moved him to second designation saying he is closer to home. Suddenly a day later the head nurse comes and tells us that he needs to be moved back saying since he has the nasal cannula and needs more attention. So my wife protests and the nurse I believe was embarrassed, later on the doctor and the nurse come and tell me since the patient to nurse ratio was higher in second designation, he needs to be moved. So it was an admin issue which she turned into health issue and my son ended up staying a week longer. Don t want to get into how we got him out, but that story is too long. After the discharge we were bombarded with bills, we payed them all, now suddenly we get another bill 9 months after for the same amount and reason which was already paid. The lady who called regarding the bill said they can allocate the amount paid to any charges pending. She was rude as hell.

The awkward part is as we see his health records online, the reason to put him in NICU for 2 weeks, a healthy baby.

We were told the parents will be present at the time of hearing test. It happened in our absence.

My son was discharged with a prescription of caffeine and when we followed up with the hospital if they need to check him as his prescribed medicine was over, they said no need to come he is fine. That was told to me over the phone. Without examining my Son.

Never ever am I using this hospital or recommending it.
